  1. Cyclists are nuts, but so are motorbikes. They lane split all the time! I have been on a motorcycle, sports car, and my truck with a trailer through NYC many times. You learn quick not to drive and pay attention. No chatting on your cell driving those streets.
  2. That was pretty sweet. I don't think I would want my kid watching it after he was in it though.
  3. Wow, sounds like a simple mistake, but seriously, electric is EASY to wire. Black (hot) "Black on brass will save your ass" White (neutral) Goes on silver screws Copper (ground) Green screws Black only goes on brass colored screws. Black is the only wire that goes to a circuit breaker and light switch. White goes on the bus bar in the breaker box and white NEVER goes to a switch NEVER connect wires together with wire nuts that are not in a handy box. All handy boxes in a basement (or anywhere) must be accessible. NEVER hide a connection or handy box behind drywall. Use drop ceilings or access panels to hide them. EDIT: There are some exceptions such as using red wires for a 3-way switch. You can also use a white neutral wire as a hot black, BUT the person should make the white wire black with electrical tape or a sharpie.
  4. RX-8 are very very slow and have poor fuel economy for the slow speed. They handle like a little race car though and are fast through turns. Not real comfy for 4 people. The Speed 3 is a great car. 268hp, holds 4 comfy, holds lots of gear and quick as hell. My friend had one that I drove a lot and he took it to Mid Ohio for 2 years and drove the shit out of it. Drove TT and beat cars in groups above his with it.
  5. That story is amazing. I would go watch it for sure!
  6. nice find. more info. Year, miles, plans?
  7. Nice work Matt, I am jealous. Bought a house last month, no money for racing.
  8. Heading to Ireland for my honeymoon in July. I want the Garmin City Navigator NT: UK & IRELAND 2011 Micro/SD maps. They sell for $70! Since I only need it for 2 weeks, I can buy it straight up or pay you to use it.
  9. I could not stop watching due to pure confusion. Where can I get a intake turbo like that?
  10. Totally awesome: I searched, I did not see it, hope it is not a repost.
  11. Used to have them also as a kids. Great fun! Too bad the ADD has taken over and most are "pre" assembled and only require some snapping together. It used to take me a week to build and paint one all nice. I would enter then in the county fairs too through 4-H. Engines are $$$ now, used to cost a $1 a shot, now they are like $3 a shot. Good fun that is legal though. MEAN MACHINE is 6' tall and like $30 They also have a 3 stager that goes like 2100 feet. You will not get that one back, so it sounds awesome, but really, you loose it due to the height.
  12. Wow! I think I have one of those in the kitchen somewhere. Need to see about programing it! lol
  13. Just used dealio to save $10 on wipers!
  14. Labs in general are great family dogs. Reach about 60-80 lbs (unless overweight). I have a black male about 70lbs. Wonderful. Never bites, loves everyone, loves to run around outside. So nice. Kids can hit them, push them, lay all over them and they love it. They are easy to train. They love attention and food and get along with other animals including our cat and ferret. Good luck finding a home for him.
  15. MAgic Eraser Kitchen ones are really good.
  16. I sure can use a level drill and shims! The door is not cracked and does work "ok". It is hard to slide and is from 1980. Never thought of how hard it would be to get it to a second story.
  17. I need a sliding door and I want a good one. I was looking to spend $1,000+ for a nice insulated one with a screen, standard size. I know I can go to a box store, but I would rather go to a local person who specializes in doors. I am looking for advice on brands and quality which a box store is not good at conveying. I am handy. Would this be worth putting in myself or having someone else do it?
  18. so sad. . . that people do this.
  19. I will give it a go. I enjoyed the last one when I was 16 and played it all the time. It was exciting and funny. This one looks to be the same. Over the top, campy, and a hellva good time.
  20. +1 to hydrogen peroxide. I have done it about 5 times to my dog. The only thing he catches are skunks. For a while the black lab was a brown lab from the peroxide!
  21. That foam stuff I would think would deteriorate quickly, collect dust/dirt/shingle gravel, and get moldy when it stays wet for a while. The hardware store solutions work ok for a few years, but they blow off or fall off. A pro system works best, but nothing is 100% perfect. Leaf Filter has some positive but many poor reviews about they mesh system not allowing water through and the water just going across it then to the ground.
  22. I just moved to a new place and I have my old one I don't need. Digital, works great. $50 you can have it. I will get a model number today. Over in Dublin or I can bring it to Southern Delaware or Marysville, where ever is best for you. (845) 926-2297 -Max
  23. People either love VW or hate them. I love anything pre 1980, anything after 1990 I don't like in terms of reliability. Many times they require a lot of maintenance and often need dealer parts. Something with that many miles will need some maintenance to keep it running good. It seems like a good deal for the price, but again I would not buy a VW. My personal opinion and experience, others will give theirs.
