  1. I am all about cars and have almost no interest in trucks. I owned a rusted out '91 Toyota v6, crank window 4x4 for a number of years and loved it. I am moving to Albany NY and they get a ton of snow & salt. All domestic trucks there have rusted rear wheel wells, even 5 years old! I want to buy a low salt one from around here for when I move in June to bring with me. I want to be able to tow a small trailer with a car to the track, so 7k lbs towing is fine. Requirements: 4x4 Reliable Gas (not interested in diesel) Crew cab, back seat for 2 labs Towing Under $22k Under 75k miles (prolly 50k for domestic) Less then 7yrs old Stick? Do they even make them in a stick? I was looking at Tundra's as the ones in Albany are not rusted at all, unlike Fords and Chevy, but they cost a lot more and are ugly. I like the look of the F150's.
  2. HAHA, I thought he was just getting a grand prix tranmission. My bad.
  3. +1 to Lookout Mobile Security. Totally awesome software. Mine sends a picture of the person using the phone if you can't unlock it in 3 tries with the GPS location of the phone in an email.
  4. I have a 4x8 trailer with side rails. Currently it is in Marysville though and you would have to go get it. Super easy to find but I am not driving my Element today and I am not going back up there until April. It could be returned to me in Delaware at my house. You would need a 1 7/8" ball and a 4 pin for the trailer. Here it is with the plywood sides attached, but you can see the metal railings. Currently the plywood sides are not on it. It is a ugly thing and has a mobile home axle. That means no suspension except the tires. If you are hauling an engine I would borrow a tire or two from a tire store and put the engine on that and strap it down. I have straps too. Shot me an email at motorcyclemax@gmail.com if interested or txt 845-926-2297 http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/cars/IMAG0029_zpsf5a83432.jpg
  5. I love these gloves, only $10 for 10 at Home Depot. Any liquid will soak right through them, but for protecting hands they are great. Fit good Washable Last a long time for the price http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/300/fb/fb8bd6d1-0e09-48ea-9b07-bf19eab8916f_300.jpg
  6. Head over to Hazard Freight for $10. I know they are dorky, but a lot of people use them and swear by them. http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/370x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_13492.jpg http://www.harborfreight.com/magnetic-trailer-alignment-kit-95684.html
  7. I say option #3; here is why: How much track time do you have? Real track time, not cones. How much rally time do you have? How much money are you willing to spend on the car? What is it going to cost to take your car out there? What are your chances of actually getting in? Why not do road racing around here at Mid Ohio, Nelson, VIR, Putnam Park, etc? Think about this: Cage: $3k Seat/Harness/Hans: $1500 Race suit, shoes, gloves, helmet: $1500 Truck to pull car out there: $5-10k Trailer: $1500 Spare tires, brakes, parts: $5k Fuel:? Upgraded brakes: $2k coilovers: $2k Supercharger with tune? $5? Sounds like you need a lot of disposable income to do this. I make $50k a year and I can not afford to do Pike's Peak. I wanted to start Spec Miata racing, can't afford it even when a race car can be had for $6k. I drive a mostly stock MR2 (suspension, tires, brakes, boost contoller) at the track. I figure 2 days at Mid Ohio is $1k (on the high side) when it is done. $360 to enter $150 gas $100 in brake wear ($400 new pads, $120 in rotors) $100 in tire wear $50 food So that is $850, but no hotel. No cage, no suit, no race rubber, no trailer.
  8. That is great! One needs to give working drivers a break. People are assholes to truck and bus drivers.
  9. OBX = area that is over popularized and full of people, commercialize, and expensive shit. HH = Hilton Head is the same. I want to vaca away from as many people as possible.
  10. That is slick. Wonder how fast it goes up and down. The video is speed up.
  11. I am a teacher and mass text messages and emails are sent out with information about people like this. This person should have alerted the police and school with a description and plate number. Good for the kids letting people know.
  12. Bah, I keep getting "no rules match the specified criteria"
  13. I picked this up a while ago and used it as my attic fan, it was a little over kill but worked. It will also work as a barn, garage, or similar. You could build a simple frame and put wheels on it, although you would need screen to keep arms out of the blades. 40" Belt drive 2 speeds 120v Very quiet Aluminum louvers No idea what it is worth or name brand. Looks to be in good shape, no rust or rot on it. It will pull a strong breeze through a door way. $175 OBO http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/2013-02-23083045_zpsdfe6fd45.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/2013-02-23083100_zpsc8274b4e.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/2013-02-23083121_zpsed906636.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq342/xyster101/2013-02-23083137_zps2f45439c.jpg
  14. I would be worried about the wind blowing. I have felt buildings rock and they are not that tall. I got sweaty hands just watching that free climbing parts. Nuts.
  15. I don't care what people think of my taste in music. I like almost anything that is not Dubstep, Christian or Rap. Notice it is 10hrs long! I too have a thing for chick teeny bopper songs
  16. That looks like some tight places for a 2wd! Great day to be outside. Where was that?
  17. That is great. Sounds like somethings are done right like suspension. People love their first cars and love to customize them. Especially at the high school age. I would love to drive that around for a day.
  18. Wow! That was awesome! Can't wait to see more video and developments. On another note, do other countries not understand the important of lines on the road?
  19. I never use my 3D, I would save your money if you can. I would also opt for a plasma, better colors, but use more energy and they do get screen burn in. The blacks on my 65" LED LCD get gray if there is white near it. That is a great price though.
  20. Lame. Ford Raptor could have made that jump.
  21. I can't believe how high they got that thing. Did they really expect to absorb 3 tons of weight in only 9" of suspension travel? That was a total waste of an awesome truck.
  22. This POW is not exciting when others don't post. sad
