  1. I'm thinking about putting rims on the W124 and since I have the 80s pre-facelifted model they look stupid with big dubs on them or new tuner wheels. I'm looking for some chunky like 80s wheels for it. 16s, 17s, maybe 18s. 5x112 bolt pattern. I checked craigslist and everything is like chrome 18s+ Its hard to look on ebay without knowing the name of the wheels and whatnot. Anyone got some rims off their old Miami Vice ride sitting in the shed? These are google pics, these I know are Ronal R9s, and worth a ton but to give you guys an idea http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/1984_Mercedes_Benz_280e_AMG_Rear_1.jpg
  2. Kevin I appreciate you getting me a price, thanks for doing that. I ended up buying the gaskets from Anson. Thanks a lot guys!
  3. I thought you said $30/side. Yeah I'll take those, I've decided to sell the car once I fix it, so while I hate people that cheap out on cars they are selling I am going to do it. Are you around today? I'd like to grab them on my way out of town. I sent you a PM with my number. Anybody know where Anson works?
  4. Thanks, they are $61.57 on the VW brand gaskets. Anyone know much about the 30V 2.8? Its doing the thing where the valve cover gaskets are letting oil into the spark plug tubes. I don't want to spend $100 on gaskets, but at the same time I don't want to buy junk. I've used VictorRienz on a lot of Benzes with no problems over the past 3-4 years.
  5. Doesn't have to be from MAG, I just remember a few members mentioning they worked there. I just called Byers, $65 retail, $52 with the Vortex discount, per side. Its valve cover gaskets for my 1999 Passat 2.8. Victor Rienz aftermarkets are $23.38 a side. I am not sure if I want to cheap out or not.
  6. I know the OP has found a battery but I bought the giant battery the 300D takes at Sams club. Around $100 at parts stores, around $70 at Sams for an energizer. I bought the Fieros battery at Sams too at a pretty good discount.
  7. I need some VW parts, is there someone on here at MAG I should ask for, be it either for the hook up or just to give him my sale if I decide to buy it from them? Thanks.
  8. You caught me, I was black smoking at 45mph pegging out overdrive because diesels suck and have no power. Said ricer probably wanted my insurance info because of stuff falling off of my raggedy piece of shit.
  9. Glad the haters shared their thoughts. Ricers are annoying, net effect, sorry I wasted your time. It's a 1987 300D, hence the legit 'TURBO' badge.
  10. This thread is dumb, don't get your hopes up... So I was on 71S coming down to Cincy yesterday afternoon. Two bros roll up on me in a purple metallic DSM, fwd, na with the "blitz" bodykit, but the front bumper was primer black. Big chrome rims and some double sided tape scoops. Both bros were like 30 and wearing their white wife beaters. One points out the TURBO badge on the back of my car and apparently, this said, "all I do is street race because my turbo badge is just as fake and gay as yours" So for the next 20 minutes they proceeded to try to get me to race them. Ride my ass then do ricer fly-bys. Then back off and come down a gear to let me know it was on. I was struggling to go the speed limit, and just let him keep doing it, but honestly, its a big mercedes sedan and it doesn't take 20 minutes to figure out I have no interest in racing your purple piece of shit. /rant
  11. We may be at my shop pulling a diesel motor and bleeding brakes super late. Like 10 or 11 is when we'll start.
  12. I'm dumb I totally missed kickasses sarcasm. woops.
  13. Good story. Nice to see he bought it from Lamborghini Ohio.
  14. The whole car is euro, slim bumpers, 1 piece headlights, etc. Its got a euro 6.9 in it.
  15. The real douchey guy in the original F&F had a Yellow R33 as well.
  16. So he does mention it, so its probably making 290bhp now. It uses mechanical injection there isn't a whole lot you can do to it.
  17. Agreed. Skylines are cool if you have disposable income and happen to stumble into one thats already here. They aren't THAT good that they require selling your nuts to get one. Especially a GTS-T. To the OP, if 3,700 pounds is the reason youre attracted (crazy cheap)... importing's not for you. My dad was looking into bringing a GTR over a couple years ago when he had his Evo. Regardless of GTS or GTR, the costs to get it here are the same, and they are higher than the $8k the car costs. The way to do it is to find a broker in the country that you trust and let him look at the cars in person. If you've got $30,000 and a '93 beat skyline 2wd has been your boyhood dream, and you've got a few months to wait for it, go right ahead. I'll be curious to see when doc chimes in as he actually imported, and my dad and I didn't.
  18. Bare in mind that's almost an $8,000 skyline.
  19. 6.9s were fast in their day. Not as fast as he claims. Not sure how hes getting shitton more power out as its already a euro and the way people over here get more power out of them is with euro parts.
  20. $1k? Someone has a pretty high opinion of their dong.
  21. http://www.yellowmustangregistry.com/Production99.html 6,811 chrome yellow mustangs, including V6s and GTs.
  22. For every car ever? Not that I've ever found. For cars that have any type of following some nerd somewhere out there somewhere compiled a list from factory records. A car like a mustang, yeah you'll find it. Google it.
  23. I actually took calculus, not stats, where are my coolcoins?
