  1. With Buckeye dry...we've been going either to Seneca or The Ohio river (sections on either side of the Belleville lock). I like the river for running full out and not feeling like you are going to run out of water. Boat: 27' 1993 Baja Shooter with a 502.
  2. I've used something similar for years. I got a few 2x10s and cut them into 18" pieces. I stack them as needed. 4 of the pieces I put 1x2 strips on the end as stops in case the car rolls for some reason and sometimes I reverse them to get an extra 3/4" if the weight is light. I use them under the bikes too...and for a bazillion other things around the garage.
  3. I have Stihl line trimmer, chain saw and blower. I abuse them. They run. I wish Stihl made motorcycles, cars and trucks.

The wife was asking for something simple for the garage for the kids to keep their shoes under and sit on to get ready...made it from scraps...haven't put a finish on it yet...had to be sturdy because they are brutes and knowing us...it will be pressed into service in other ways.... 9. Update: I went to the dealer in Canal Winchester on the way home yesterday. It was pretty easy. They didn't try to sell me a service call or anything like I expected. The filters aren't cheap. I needed 3 and they came to like 130 bucks. But when I opened the cover on the unit I saw that they hadn't been replaced in a couple years. The previous owners were a retired couple so we will use it at a faster pace for sure. The filter with the meter on it starts to shut off the feed after 500 gallons. The dealer says it typically takes a family around a year using a single drinking water tap. Ours also feeds the refrigerator and ice maker...so again...likely faster. Anyway...fears were for nothing. All good. The dealer even has a drive through to make it quick and easy. Water tastes a lot better now...by the way. Still would be nice to find a cheaper online source for filters. But...oh well.
  10. 6 bucks sounds better than what I was expecting. I am always worried when I do an internet search and it appears a company has their products on lock-down. I can't even dredge up pricing info. That is a red flag for me.
  11. My house had a Kinetico softner and RO system when I bought it. We are due for a filter change. Before I call Kinetico and hear how much they want to come out and do it...I thought I'd see if anyone here knows these things. I am curious if a filter change is a DIY...where to get filters...pitfalls...etc. A quick google turned up a lot of nay-sayers. Sounds like other RO systems are A LOT cheaper to keep in filters. Help?
  12. Trust your vet and let them do it their way. It will be better in the end. I have had to do it myself in past and it haunts me even though I know I did the right thing. I wish you peace.
  13. PM me contact info for my friend or I can send you his.. Thnx.
  14. Hey, my buddy has a C7 he want to put up for the winter. Safe, dry, secure. Doesn't need to be heated and he doesn't need regular access. Anyone have suggestions? He lives in New Albany but it doesn't have to be real close.

  23. I use a wireless nas hidden in the house on its own power circuit and scheduled backups on all my devices that dump to it. That way if I'm ever broken into I have my files. It is a 2T unit and I expect I'll have to up that at some point.
