He definitely put his knee down but he did it sooo fast you had to slow down the action to see it happen. That is on him. Refs don't have built-in slo mo. Their mistake was later as has been mentioned. There just wasn't enough time to run that play just to center the ball and that is on the Coach. (as well as being responsible for drilling his team on this type of situation which is very, very common). From there it is all ref error. Crazy.

Coach, QB, Refs....all should be ashamed of that fiasco.

I've done it several times. The drag and autocross events are a must to break up the repetitive nature of the daily meet-ups. I'm glad they are headed north again. Some of the routes have been brutal when they stay down south in the heat. I didn't go this year due to a vacation conflict. I am going to wait for the route to go out west to do another tour. Each day you have to haul a$$ to get to the meet-up if you want to get there before the vendors are shutting down. I recommend an early start skipping the drivers meeting. It isn't unusual for me to put nearly 3k miles in during a tour including the to and from legs. They avoid highways and I always add stops along the way (like any car museums or tracks I want to visit). Keep in mind it is almost exclusively an American car event. Mostly pre-70s but there is always a good contingent of newer vettes, firebirds, camaros, rustangs, etc.

Just register for things that will be easy to cart back and return. People have been doing it for years. Pick a store with a liberal return policy or where you see yourself spending store vouchers over time anyway. I'd suggest Kohl's and Target. side note: VISA gift cards are cool but be very careful because they carry transaction fees for each purchase. Make as few individual purchases as possible on each card to avoid the fees eating your balance. Optimally use an entire card at once.

I am getting just under 25mpg on my commute now in the GLK but that is with premium fuel. I think it will be a great commuter for my fiancee. Especially in the winter time. She has a much shorter commute. The boy can drive the mini-van as motivation to get a job and buy his own car. I drive my C6Z to work occasionally but I don't want to rack up too many miles and I've been contemplating selling it anyway.

My DD right now is a GLK350 4matic. I love how rock solid it is in slick conditions. I guess I was hoping to get another AWD but with better gas mileage. That being said...I drove a FWD Jetta years ago and it was surprisingly sure footed in the winter. I am leaning towards a 2 door Golf TDI right now. My fiancee is leaning towards the Passat. But I think the Golf will be fun to mod. I've been researching tuning, suspension and body kits.

So, I'm living an hour from work now and my mid-20s MPG cars are sucking the gas at an alarming rate. Also, I have a 15.5yo who is going to need a car in November. I think I want to get a high MPG DD and let the kid drive one of the other cars to school (which is less than a mile away). I've been looking at the TDIs. One thing that is puzzling is that I don't see any non-suv 4motion cars in VW lineup anymore. What happened there? I am very used to AWD vehicles and I only started looking at VW because I thought they had it. Also, I've looked at the aftermarket...does anyone have experiences to share regarding tunes or other mods? I'm thinking a 2door Golf TDI could be fun as well as efficient but I'd have to kick up the style and performance to be happy. Maybe a tune, body kit, new shoes, tint, that sort of thing.

I'm sure this isn't unique to iPhones but oh well...any chance to hate Apple more...me likey.
