    Wines?

+1 for barefoot..Although it seems a little watered down at times. Little Penguin is some good stuff too, Kroger has it on sale for something like $10.50 for the big bottle. Picked up a couple in the past week, good stuff.
  5. March is the time to visit Flordia....Ohhh how I miss those days. Starting in May things just get WAY to hot/humid. Not sure how your getting down to the keys (im guessing your going to take 75 through Alligator alley) - if so stop over in Naples for some of the best dining/shopping/lifestyle in Fl. Period.(be prepared to spend some $$$$). Not sure if your into fishing but the month of June can be phenomenal for any number of species...Especially sharks. The feeling of hooking into a 180lb+ Bull shark (or a 400lb Goliath Grouper) is akin to running a Zr1 wide open - it's a blast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_it62G0QnA

    new dog

NEVER let him up on the bed/furniture...Something about big alpha Males and furniture don't mix *queue's ryan's post*. The rents have a giant Golden lab that swears he owns every last bit of furniture in the house...I literally had to fist fight him for my sleeping quarters while staying there. After two nights he either wound up on the floor or tucked away in the far corner of the bed....Im the boss, bitch *god I miss that dog*
  7. s'all good, I welcome ownage as long as it's presented in a constructive way - *puts on the white collar*
  8. Now that you mention it I believe most Cadillac blower motors are controlled by a microchip within the motor. If ignition wires contact the blower motor (or even come close) the interference can severally affect the motor's operation (and often times lead to it's failure). Not sure if the blower motor is located near the ignition wires on an '04 Impala but it's def. something worth looking into.
  9. so the blower motor speed is controlled by its own microchip?...Interesting. (Don't most Caddy's use the same technology?) *has a theory on the source of the problem*
  10. Sounds like a resistor is going bad, or the motor itself is failing and drawing to many amps.
  11. Are you SURE this problem wasn't present before you replaced the resistor? Also how did the old resistor look? was it bloated, deformed, burnt etc? Did you check the connections to the resistor for corrosion? Have you checked all the fuses/relays?
  12. Doesn't seem like the failure "conditions" match the symptoms Steve-O described. Thats sorta what I was getting at - if your problem was related to the ignition switch you shouldn't have any power to the blower motor, period. Im still betting your problem is related to the blower-motor speed control switch (WHICH CAN BE FIXED WITHOUT REPLACING THE UNIT $$$$$$).
  13. Had an issue with the ignition switch on my old Chrylser. The switch would act up intermittently, and when it did fail the power windows/climate control module wouldn't work, period. (blower motor wouldn't work either). A quick "jiggling" of the keys/ignition usually resolved the problem. The thing that gets me is your blower works but only on high, yet the ac/defrost wont come on...Seems almost identical to the problem with my sisters Jetta. Try this, start the car and turn the AC/Defrost on, then cycle the blower motor speed back-and-forth...Keep an eye on the AC/Defrost indicator lights to see if they flicker or intermittently come on.
  14. Ohhhh the memories ( i usually ran them lines fast tho )
  15. Forgot to mention that one too. Rumour has it that coyotes from Az/Cali have a "list" on where to send illegals once they get into the states. NO #1 on that list is Florida...Ugh I could go on and on about that state. The south has one thing going and one thing only: good weather (and employment) in the winter months! Move down there in Dec. then try and survive May-Oct...It's a nightmare. And some good things about Florida: Fresh Seafood, girls during spring break and the fishing (especially shark fishing). Fresh Stone Crab Legs and Blackened Grouper are some of the best food on this planet...Getting drunk as hell on the beach during spring break aint half bad either
  16. A good buddy of mind just moved to Asheville, NC...Talk about Bliss. http://www.exploreasheville.com/index.aspx
  17. And I should add: if you are looking to buy a place in Flordia (especially Southwest Flordia) the time is RIGHT. Wait until all the snowbirds head home come April and make an offer in May, you should basically be able to steal waterfront property...
  18. Most of those women are only present from Dec-April 1st...Trust me
  19. 1994-2003 were the "golden years" for Flordia (Native Floridians call this "old Flordia"). Back then it was nothing short of bliss. Then came the housing boom (and now bust) of 2004. Starting in 2004 empty nesters from the east coast made $$$$$$$$$$ selling there houses, then flocked to Florida en-mass and bought up property(ies). In addition investors WORLD WIDE started buying up FL. property at an unimaginable scale (due impart to incompetent lenders who assumed property values would continue to soar, which they did not). It was a ponzi-scheme of unimaginable proportions: those who sold early,or bought and sold (flipped) got rich, those that bought and held out often wound up foreclosing. This scenario played out all over the country but the state of Fl was one of the hardest hit. When I was down there about 1 out of every 3 people had foreclosed on a home...INSANITY! Yes, laying on the beach smoking a macanudo/sipping on a corona while watching 2 young, tan hottiez sult by is very, very nice. Yes the weather down there this time of year is second to none (except for Fall/Spring in Ohio). But other then that FL. is a shithole. There are no jobs, TONS of crime, and bascially everyone down there is an asshat from the east coast. With the exception of Dec/Jan/Feb Ohio is the shit.
  20. Went through the exact same symptoms with my sisters Jetta earlier this year. Fan only worked on high, lights wouldn't come on for AC/Defrost etc. Replaced the resistor and nada, same issues. Ended up tearing apart the head unit and found the Blower Speed switch was broken ( it wasn't making connections with the copper windings (track) - no connection = no electronic communication with the rest of the hvac system). Fixed the problem by wedging a piece of copper in-between the contact point on the switch and the copper track. Worked like a charm. Hope that made sense, sort of hard to explain. But yes, your problem likely lies within the climate control module (head unit)
  21. its not old people, its old people from the EAST COAST. I don't have any problem with old timers from Ohio/Midwest, but those wealthy, rude, arrogant old timers from the East Coast are downright nasty.
  22. Just wait till the first few weeks of January, it will get warm again...Something with the winter solstice always throws Ohio's weather out-of-wack.
  23. You shouldn't be...it's just a car (and some minor wrist damage). Walking away from an "interstate" accident is something you thank the man upstairs for...
