  1. My DD is a 12 3.5 that I bought new and have had 66k trouble free miles. My MPG is terrible at 12 to 14 but that is because I have a 6 inch lift, spinning 35 inch tires, tons of performance mods and I drive with a heavy foot as well, plus zero freeway miles, all in town. Tunes make a huge difference on the 3.5 and 2.7 ecoboost engines so definitely consider looking into that if you do end up getting one. I have 3 other friends with 11 on up 3.5 trucks and nobody has had any big problems beyond normal wear and tear stuff.
  2. I like it. Clean lines for a nice DD and I especially like the interior color / contrast. I'm always a sucker for tan interiors... Just out of curiosity were you were already thinking / planning on replacing her car and saw that one and just went for it? Or hadn't really thought much about replacing her car, aside from the hassle of fixing it constantly and seeing this car triggered that this would fix that issue?
  3. Fuck...that looks fun. Now I'm interested and will follow all the news until it's finally revealed.
  4. Ordered some new rubber for the Slingshot...Nitto NT555 G2, stepped up the back to the widest I can fit easily on the factory rim, just slightly an inch wider then factory at 295/35/18. Curious to see how much the new wider tire increases grip / acceleration when warmed up or be about the same as on the OEM Kendra tires. Especially since it is the single rear wheel drive... Replaced the battery, oil change, checked everything over to make sure in good shape for Tail of the Dragon in a month or two with Nick. Now we just need to get the Bassani downpipe and side exit exhaust on before the trip...
  5. Not too many places around do diesel tuning much less delete tuning. What year/engine?
  6. Yes, I've noticed that as well. My grass was never awesome but it was decent all around despite the kids and this year it looks very different then prior winters.
  7. Damn. I didn't know... Next time though I'll keep it in mind.
  8. The smart parent gets the roaring V8 but then adds a tune that makes the speed limiter kick on at 66 or 71 MPH. Ha... Kidding aside, I've actually did that on request for a guy couple years ago. One guy rebuilt a wrecked 01 Cobra with his young son from age 11 to 16, teaching him how to work on it, and it was a pretty stout head/cam n/a build from what I remember. And the son got a 126 MPH speeding ticket racing a friend the first day he got his license at 16. Dad called me the day after the ticket and said he wants two tunes...one tune to make the car run like a dream up to 65 and at 66 MPH, have the car fall flat on it's face. And then he wanted another tune for when HE borrowed the car and have the speed limiter turned off entirely. lol
  9. Ha. What are the odds....we just went to Kurtz Brothers to get grass seed today. Decent prices and lots of options.
  10. Speaking from personal experience, you can't go wrong buying from Doc....
  11. I really like those barn doors. Have you ever built any before or just figured it out?
  12. I've used u-ship now two times and both worked well. Different people each time but the system works pretty well. One was a car from FL to here and another was from WA to here. FL to OH was a stupid deal at like $350 for open transport as I caught a guy who literally was going to the same town my car was in already. WA to OH was about $1000 if I recall but I saved over $5k finding it there so I didn't mind too much.... And I love those Bullitt....debated that or a 03/04 Mach 1 myself a few years ago before settling on a Mach 1.
  13. Next time you go to C and C, shoot me a text and if I'm going that day, I'll grab the speakers to bring.
  14. What size speakers? I have a set of four 6 x 9 OEM speakers out of my 12 F150 that I removed years ago when I upgraded the system and just found them couple days ago tucked away into a box. You can have them if you like and could use them in the land barge...
  15. Welcome! Have you been to Cars and Coffee down by Olentangy? Always a good time meeting new folks on Saturday mornings once the weather warms up a bit.
  16. Agree to disagree on the above (paying off debt part) as getting rid of basic debt is always a solid step towards long term financial success. But hey, if what are doing is working for you, rock it! :-)
  17. That is pretty stout. And I think just about everybody was down from 4Q of 2018. lol
  18. Winner winner chicken dinner. 50k is a good chunk of change for sure so use it to set yourself up for long term success. Obviously factors such as how old are the kids, are they going to college, do the parents want to help with college costs, ect.
  19. Good feedback from everybody, thanks for taking the time to post up!
  20. Fantastic choice! That is one seriously good looking car and sounds like it handles fantastic.
  21. Just curious to ask CR how many on here genuinely enjoy their job overall? Or do you just do it to collect a paycheck to fund your lifestyle? Obviously every job/position has ups and downs but overall, do you really like what you do for a living? Not intended as a plug for anything whatsoever just this thought struck me today while I was at work and now I am intrigued to see how many really enjoy their job vs those who just do it to collect a check and don't really care what they do as long as the paycheck is sufficient. (nothing wrong with that either)
  22. If going to be in Rome, highly recommend that you do one of the double decker bus tours. Sit on the top exposed floor which will likely be warm when you go but there usually is a breeze that helps cool you off and be up high enough to get good views of everything. We spent a week in Italy a few years ago and Rome was nuts busy at the time but we got to see a lot of the sights from up on top of the bus and then get off at a few of the places we wanted to poke around more into. It was pretty neat. Traffic in Rome is unreal. I haven't been to all the big cities in the US but I've been to most of them and none of them could even bring a candle to the insanity that is driving in Rome especially with all the mopeds and bikes darting everywhere. Not even having a car is a good call. We ended up parking our rental for the whole four days we were in Rome and just walked or took a bus to wherever we wanted to go in the city itself.
  23. Ha. I saw this thread title and laughed because I instantly knew that Clay didn't buy a Tesla.
