If I go for a fun cruise, I jump on 71 N, to Polaris Parkway, take Polaris down to 23, then 23 to 270 down to Westerville usually. Mix of freeway and slower but wide roads... Or on occasion jump on 23 going the other direction and hit the underpasses and time the blow off valves to release right as I pass through...always fun.

Agreed. I looked into getting a bunk bed built for my son last year and talked to a number of different shops / woodworker friends and even with a friend discount, it was far more expensive then pre-made beds you can buy. We ended up just getting a sturdy one from iKea as that was the most cost effective one for a decent, durable bed.

/\ /\ Agreed. I liked BP, don't get me wrong but it has WAAAAY more hype then it deserves.

Just saw it last night with Nick and it's a great movie. If the kid isn't bothered by some sad parts, then no worries taking a child. Miles has seen every superhero movie made with me but I prob wont let him see this one for the simple reason that sad things are the only thing that gets him. Def a good flick and I'll probably see it in the theater one more time before it's gone...and just as heads up as well, it is a LONG movie. 2 hours and 40 min run time.

BOOM! Every job has downtime to a degree but what are you doing with that downtime? Using it to get better at your job/field, develop yourself, learn something new, help a coworker out and learn something new in the process, ect, ect.

Ha, touché. Perhaps I should clarify what I meant. If people put the same intensity and passion into their respective careers as they do with arguing on internet forums, that eventually pays off far more then trying to sway some random ass dude to your side of the argument.

Some of you have waaaaaay too much time on your hands to debate this to the level it is being taken. Get off your ass and get to work and make some more money and buy whatever the hell you want. So I say as I'm sitting on my own ass taking a mental break by coming on CR for 3 minutes to get a laugh out at some of the posts. If 1/4 of CR worked just as hard as they debated certain topics, could then just go pay cash for the damn car/toy/whatever strikes your fancy item.

I used Workman fencing two years ago and they did a great job. Dad / son team. I got a LOT of quotes and they were pretty much the best bang for buck, def would use them again. http://www.workmanfence.us/

Yep. It's been a long time but C and C was definately the go to games back in the day for me....Think I played just about every variation of them that there was. Pulled many a all nighter destroying things to realize it was now 4 am and I had to be at work in three hours....eh so that means time for a couple more skirmishes / battles and just stay up ALL night. lol

I'll prob take the boy to it as it's a fun afternoon just looking at all the new stuff that I know I'm not gonna buy but enjoy looking at anyhow. :-)

Cup of Joe not being around wouldn't deter me, just walk down to Starbucks at Barnes and Noble. Takes 5 mins. And definitely would be interested in some Hocking Hill type cruises just to get out and stretch the legs a bit and see / hear some fun cars in motion. And winter always sucks for C and C...but it will pick back up once warms up a bit and the location is still great, easy access from multiple parts of town and large lot where we can gather and not be in anybody's way.

It was funny....when we swapped and the guy getting it was test driving it, the cruise control button popped off and he was happy about that as he said now he could justify getting some billet controls.... where I was sitting there thinking how typical, something else breaks just as he is driving it for first time... I hope he's happy with it and I made sure he was fully aware of what he was getting into.

Agreed. I did the trade intending to just list up the Charger right away to sell....but after driving it a few days and it being much more enjoyable then I thought it would be, may just keep it for the summer and sell it then. And a working BRIGHT ass spotlight....is way more fun then you would think. lol

Ha, if you could only get a dollar for dollar return on performance mods installed....usually you are doing good if you can get 1/4 of any money spent on mods back when selling it. Once you are talking cars modded beyond your basic bolt on stuff... Which is exactly why it's usually better off financially speaking to remove and sell off said mods then sell the car in stock to close to stock form. And Mach 1's usually do hold their value pretty well, believe me, I know as I looked for about 6 - 8 months before I got this one. A very well cared for, super low miles, clean garage queen Mach 1 can go anywhere from $14 to $19k.... My Mach 1 didn't hit ANY of the above criteria. lol Bought it cheap and thought it be fun but just got tired of fixing shit on it only to have something else ( usually minor ) break right after. There wasn't a time I think when I owned it that something didnt work right or had a part on order, waiting for time to install it. Had a bunch of people interested in it when put up for sale in summer, but the endless stream of small shit breaking tended to scare em off as I would be totally upfront with them and let them know what they were getting into. So in the end, I am just happy it's gone and the Charger is far more enjoyable then I would have ever thought a four door sedan could be. That being said, I didn't know that the Chargers apparently have a bit of a stereotype attached to them with a certain cultural population group REALLY liking them... which is hilarious because I've had two random people come up to me and give me a compliment on the car ( having only driven it a few days bear in mind ) and how they liked it a lot and both fit the exact profile of that group that likes Chargers. Hell, tax rebate time is coming up, I could prob sell it REALLY quick if I wanted come April. lol

Just a flowmaster catback, other then that, bone stock. Which is weird....I cant even remember last time I owned a stock vehicle. Meh. The older I get, the less I care about rowing gears all the time. Which is funny cause ten years ago, I would have been "Hells to the no to any type of automatic" It's CR, if you get ONE actually helpful / positive comment out of a dozen, that's a pretty good ratio actually! See above... Good to know, thanks!

So this past week, I went from this.... 2004 Mustang Mach 1 To this..... 2013 Dodge Charger RT Straight up trade. The Mach 1 has been up for sale about 6 months and I was getting tired of looking at it and so originally decided to trade for the Charger as I thought that would be much easier to sell then a modded high mileage Mustang..... The 03/04 Mach 1 are still one of my favorite Mustangs of all time appearance wise in factory trim but mine had a bunch of little things off with it and while it was pretty quick, when not hammering the gas hard, it wasn't much fun to drive and as such, I only put prob 1k miles on it in a year and half and I just wanted to be rid of it. So I did the trade with the intent to just get rid of the Mach 1 and then figured it would be easier to sell the Charger and on paper, it's worth a couple k more then the Mach 1 was, plus it being 9 years newer then the Mach 1 But I ain't gonna lie, after a week of rolling around in the Charger, I like it way more then I thought I would. It's big, powerful ( relatively ) and easy to drive. So I may keep it for the summer just for fun but I know next to zero about the 5.7 in them other then I already dont like MDS mode so I will prob throw a tune on it just to disable that and tweak the shifting a bit. It was a police cruiser so still has the working spotlight and that is WAY more fun then it should be.... I may or may not have freaked out some people with it....both friends and random strangers. lol But I already told myself that I'm NOT modding this one....we see how LONG that lasts. :-) Anybody fairly familar with the 5.7 have any suggestions or common things to check out on them? It has 124k on the clock but overall, looks to be in REALLY good shape and pretty well maintained, checked it out in pretty good detail when we did the trade but not very familar with that engine or Dodge's in general, this being my first one. This is also my first NON blue fun car and to anybody who knows me, what a shocker that is....( but hey, I didnt pay anything for it! ) It was parked in front of my house and a friend came over and asked whose car that was and what's done do it....as it never even occured to them that I may ever own a non bright blue fun vehicle...But I gotta admit, silver does seem to hide the dirt a lot better! Ha...

Since when does CR actually have standards?!?!? :-P

We did the Ramsey plan and hit the mortgage hardcore for about 3 years ( already been in the house for 5 years prior to that ) and paid ours off in Sept of 17. :-) Which was/is an amazing feeling.... Long story short, budget well every month, live below your means, and anything extra at the end of the month, throw down on top of the mortgage. ( And yes, did refin to a 15 year to lower the interest even though I knew would be paying it off significantly faster ) Just about every question asked in this thread is addressed in either the book or via the podcast too just FYI. There is lots of method's to knock it out, that's just what we did and it worked well. But I also busted my rear for those three years, both in making as much $ as could and reducing spending in drastic ways but it was well worth in the long run.

/\/\ Agree 100%. Dragged my brother, sister, and father in law all to one of Joe's classes about a year ago and everybody said it was outstanding.

For that price, sure why the hell not? Scored the same thing off eBay for $14.... Even if it entertains me and the kids for 1 hour, worth it.

Welcome to the CR boards!

Curious to see how it all plays out. I pay a LOT in taxes ( although I am sure less then some on here! ) Waiting though for all the dust to settle before sitting down to crunch some numbers and see how it directly impacts me. I don't care about how it impacts all the rest of you suckers. :-)

How often do you need an actual tub? IE do you or anybody in your house actually take baths and if not, then just get a full shower. But bear in mind as well, if potentially looking at having kids or not ( no idea if you have any / planning on it in ) a tub is pretty much required for young ones.

I like the idea / clean looks of the Proclip but just configured a couple and looks like it's about $75 out the door for both the base and phone holder ( both basic versions ) Anybody know if they send out coupon deals or anything periodically? Be worth it to wait if they do something like that and could get 20% off or something since I'm gonna get two setups for two vehicles at same time....I signed up for the mailing list...

My overall, all time favorite def would be my 12 F150. I've had a good number of fun cars / toys but they only keep my interest for a couple years usually. And had the truck since new and still just as much enjoyment to drive now. Does everything I need it to do, hauls the whole family easily, def stands out from a crowd with all it's mods, has enough power to get you in trouble if not careful but still stay fun, but doesn't wake the entire neighborhood when it fires up either. :-) Which is prob why it's stayed around as long as it has and no plans to get rid of it at all in the next 4-5 years.
