  1. I remember another reason why I don't go to any events. I drive a hair dresser car. /thread
  2. I like actually walking without fearing my shoes slipping out. Tie the damn things. I'm 21 and realized this. Standard laces, I don't care about it TBH.
  3. http://i1.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/001/253/everything_went_better_than_expected.jpg
  4. Drive up there and get it. I decided to ship a car from Texas instead of flying there and driving it back. It arrived with a dent in the roof.
  5. Really the only time I'll be down in Columbus will be for OVR SCCA autocross events. If not, the closest place you'll find me will be at Mid-O, hopefully :fuckyeah:
  6. 1. I joined like 2 months ago. 2. I'm either in Cleveland or Dayton. foreveralone.jpg
  7. D40 is now an old model. I have a D3100, I love it. Bought the kit for $450, picked up a f/4-5.6 55-200mm lens and a f/1.8 35mm lens and I'm sitting about $750 in Glass and Body Highly recommended, it puts out some awesome shots: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7002/6614084239_9b04a18446_b.jpg Reflections v.2 by M0nk3yy31, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7145/6608749271_f741c47d38_b.jpg Crack one open by M0nk3yy31, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7171/6608306863_ce047cf139_b.jpg Maverick by M0nk3yy31, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7008/6420399133_317614ddd4_b.jpg Into the Unknown b/w by M0nk3yy31, on Flickr
  8. People need money. I bought my car at the Beginning of March for $4k under the going rate. It all depends. Some people are on crack year round.
  9. If any user can learn the Kevin Brown Method with M105 then they will be golden in terms of manipulating and learning M105. And yes, it dusts sooo much.
  10. Autogeek.net and Detailedimage.com is what I use for everything. good luck searching, sorry I couldn't be of better assistance.
  11. I gotcha now, for some reason I though you had an attached back-plate. If you don't mind running compressed air, give this a shot. No first hand experience though: http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-rotary-air-tool.html ^^ (There is a DA version of that as well) If not, Griots has a small 3" DA. http://www.autogeek.net/griots-orbital-polisher.html
  12. I run a Makita 9227c Rotary as my main. You can attach any rotary backing plate, this is what I use: http://www.detailedimage.com/Meguiars-M43/Solo-Easy-Buff-Rotary-Backing-Plate-W66-P397/575-S1/ With that being said, you can easily run a 3" http://www.autogeek.net/flex-backing-plate.html
  13. Alright. Where do I start? What do you want to achieve, total swirl correction? How much money are you going to spend? Since you only asked for polishes, and waxes...etc. I'll only recommend those things. Meguiars M105/205 is the combo to beat right now. I used it on my car as well: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99137 Anyways, I'd start out with that. Menzerna is another awesome polish that I've owned and used, but you usually need to require 3 polishes to finish to a level comparable to Meguiars. Porter Cable 7424 is where you need to start. I'd go with the LCC Hydropads, as they are meant to work with the Meguiars polishes (and other liquid based ones). I'd say you really need at least 3 of the Cyan and Tangerine pads, any less and you might be pushing the pad limits (aka the pad gets clogged with polish, and needs to be cleaned after use). For wax, you have a wide range of options. I'm a Dodo Juice whore, but with that being said, their wax costs $70. For someone starting out, I'd look at Poorboys. Their natty wax is pretty good for the price. Let me know if you need more detailed answers.
  14. Yea...about that (No one does that unless you're a mom and doesn't care about the car) I'll be changing my oil on my new car for the first time. Its only been 4500 miles since last oil change, and I'm perfectly fine with that. With my E46 though, I did 10k miles and the engine was fine at 132k when I sold it. Do a blackstone oil report, it will tell you when to change it. GLWS. Awesome cars
  15. I have a sense that she is probably slightly better than I am. she will kick my ass
  16. I try to go bowling as much as possible. Mainly in the winter when I'm back at home from college. Use to bowl in high school, but that was 4 years ago. One year without bowling, couple weeks ago I rolled a 201 average over 3 games. My balls (hehe): Rotor Grip Neptune - 15lbs - drilled for skid snap. Bastards can hit high or low and still carry...I love it. Track Robot Rule - 15lbs - drilled for medium heavy conditions, easy arc with hard snap in the backend. Not as forgiving, but if I can get a good line it carries really well. Usually a 10 pin left if I carry high or low Spare Ball - 15lbs - well its a spare ball So anyone else weird as me? I want to find my ball speed and rev rate...any easy solutions?
  17. Owned my E46 325xi from 16-20. It was high in the mileage (132k when sold) and it I knew at the higher mileage service items would become more frequent (window regulators, expansion tank replacement, CV joints, suspension...etc). Made the educated decision to sell it and invest into something I'll keep much longer (as seen below). Went without a car for about 5 months until I bought this one. No regrets at all.
  18. You're doing range time wrong then.
  19. I email alot due to school, that's about it though. Craigslist is a hit or miss. I've had the same experience.
  20. That's why you rent guns. At the range.
  21. BF3 is where you need to be. There is plenty of running and gunning on some maps, others require vehicle assistance to move through objectives.
  22. Let me put it into terms you'd understand. Rounds flying down to your neighbors house 3 houses away. It's a serious issue. Read up: http://ammo.ar15.com/project/Self_Defense_Ammo_FAQ/index.htm#OVERPENETRATION
