  1. Check the Vance's add that came out yesterday. Primers are 30 for small or large. Just don't buy them all as I need some too. Midway had them on sale recently but you would have to order a lot to offset the hazmat charge.
  2. Trans Am nationals in late August.
  3. I always used to use Lowpro bags. They are usually soft but they have a lot of padding and I think a lifetime warranty. I have a couple including a backpack if you want to check them out before you buy. When I used to work at the camera store we always recommended twice as many batteries and memory cards as you think you need. For batteries stay with Canon. They cost more but off brands don't last as long. You are shooting autofocus so you need a circular polarizer. It's good to have one for each lens. Also don't forget a skylight or uv filter for each lens for protection. Also get a bunch of lens cloths. 35mm plastic film canisters make good places to store clothes. Check out B&H out of NY. They are an old company and I've ways had good luck and good service with them. They should have everything you need. Good luck.
  4. As someone who swapped a 6speed into an auto car I say leave it auto. I love driving my car as a stick but I wish I had just saved up more and bought a stick 4th gen to go with my 3rd gen. Mine has been a pia and is still not right. Enjoy what you have or buy another stick car. Good luck.
  5. Can there be a Crown Vic/Grand Marquis option? Drivers either seem to be over 100 and driving slow or ex-cop car driving like they stole it.
  6. Still a bit pricey but if anyone needs 22... The shipping quote was about 15 so it really bumps the price up. http://www.slickguns.com/product/fed...5rd-can-1899-0
  7. The Walmart in Marysville had 50 ct boxes of Federal 22lr for 2.49 and 100 rd boxes of Minimags for 7.99. I see 9mm and 45 pretty often. 22 finally seems to be trickling back in.

    .308 ammo

Maybe next time I'll read the description.

    .308 ammo

Saw this add for 308. Don't know anything about it but since folks are looking... http://www.slickguns.com/product/308-winchester-military-surplus-cheap-5301060-rds
  10. Gun Envy is at Indianola and Cooke Rd on the north side. http://www.gunenvy.com
  11. I am using the Hornady series II 3 die set. I thought those were taper crimp. I looked on Hornady's website quickly but I didn't see where it said roll crimp or taper crimp.
  12. I thought with a taper crimp I did not need to trim the cases. Do you recommend trimming all hand gun cases? I will back off the die a little. I wanted to ensure I would get a good crimp because I was told that's more important in revolvers. So far I have only loaded 9mm and they have worked great so I am still learning. I need to go to Cabelas anyway so I will pick up a bullet puller. Thanks.
  13. CR Reloaders, what would cause this? http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/38Spec_zps9160d8bf.jpg I am new to reloading and just tried to load 38 spec for the first time. The first 20 came out fine after I wasted one seating it too deep. I don't know why the cases "bulged" and the last one I did bulged in two spots and looks like the bullet is pushing on the side. Nothing was changed from the first 20 to these 3. I am using Hornady single stage press with Hornady dies. The powder was 5.3 gr of Unique and the bullet was 124 gr Barry's. I seated the first 20 to 1.45 OAL before this per the Hornady manual. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. Yes I meant child safety seats. Although from what I have heard most parents have to buy new ones and wait for the insurance company to reimburse. It's safer than waiting and taking the chance of another accident.
  15. The other driver's insurance should also pay for new car seats. Anytime a seat is in an accident, they recommend it be replaced due to the plastics and restraints being compromised. Good luck.
  16. A contribution to my kids' college funds.
  17. Went to Gun Envy and they had 9mm Armscor 1911's in 5 and 3 in barrel lengths. They are very heavy but about what I expected. The tigger was much better than I expected. The salesman said 4 in barrels are out of stock right now.
  18. I've also been looking for one. I was thinking about the STI spartan in the 4 inch barrel. Other than price, any advantage going RIA vs STI?
  19. Assuming you have a stockt tpi to start with, have you considered porting what you have? I had my intake, runners, plenum and throttle body ported and it really made a difference. Every once in a while I see full set ups in the junk yard for less than 100. Even having someone else do it, the porting was a fraction of buying a new intake and runners. Are you running stock heads and cam? From what I've read you may not need to step up to a 52mm or 58mm tb unless you have a lot of mods. There is also a forum thirdgen.org. You may find some folks there that have stuff too. Also check out tpis.com. Sometimes they have stuff that's not on their website. Good luck.
  20. Fin Feather and Fur is a good store. It's about the size of cabelas. There's one in Ashland, Cleveland and Canton. The Ashland store is about an hour away. I have always been impressed by their service.
  21. Beautiful car. I had a 74 442 and wish I had never sold it.
  22. Is this one if them? http://www.armslist.com/posts/2389475/columbus-ohio-handguns-for-sale--h-r-9-shot-sportsman
  23. One of my favorites is the Canon 17-85 IS which is image stabilization. The one I use is an older lens and is not an L series lens but it's still plenty fast enough for cars outside. I have seen several on craigslist used. You may also try Midwest Photo or Cord on 5th avenue as they both have used equipment. My neighbor has one so I get free rental as needed. New it's about 500. An Amazon link is below. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-17-85mm-4-5-6-Stabilized-Digital/dp/B0002Y5WXO If you do go used listen very carefully to the motor as it auto focuses. If you hear any grinding or anything else but smooth operation I would walk away. Good luck.
  24. Steve I was at U Part It this morning and there was a camaro with three of those wheels. They had a locking lug nut on each. No key was in site so be prepared to fight them off. The camaro was a maroon color and was on the end near the back of the yard. They also had 3 of the 91-92 camaro z28 wheels which are still 5-spoke but 16 inch. Those were near the door and were already off the car. Good luck.
  25. You may check some of the local junkyards. Edison and Woodys are on McKinley Ave. Pick n Pull and You Part It are on the west side off 104. I have seen a lot of those over the years. I think aluminum wheels are 25 to 50 each. Good luck.
