  1. Nothing really. I was on the other end of this in my Supra and was essentially told to go pound sand by CPD. The douche was on a bike and knew he hit me but just didn't stop, got him and his plate on film, not enough for CPD to do anything about. Just had to touch up the 2' long scratch myself.
  2. So you supposedly hit an off Duty Whitehall cop?
  3. This is sort of a feeler as of now, pending me purchasing a new car tomorrow. I'll get new pics up ASAP. I'm selling my SL1, I purchased this car earlier in the year from B3NN3T and I am only getting rid of it to purchase a newer car, I planned on driving this thing until it rusted out from under me but I found a car I can't live without. This was a great car for what I needed and it doesn't have anything major wrong. It currently has a little over 159,000 on it and doesn't miss a beat. It is a 5 speed with all manual windows and locks. Since I purchased the car I replaced the upper motor mount and performed an alignment and balance/ rotate on it in mid-May or so. I've done regular oil changes on it and also replaced the valve cover gasket about 2 weeks after I picked it up along with brand new AC Delco spark plugs. It burns very little oil but does burn about a quart to a quart and a half between 3,000 mile intervals. Pros: -A/C works great - Sips gas, I see right at 40 mpg and I don't drive hunting MPG's. - Leather seats from an SC1. - Newer starter and exhaust. Cons: -Ignition is a little funny at times. The key is worn and you have to jiggle it around slightly to bump the pins just right, but it fires up. A new ignition cylinder is a quick fix but I didn't feel the urge to fix it yet. This may take an extra 3 seconds to get it started. - Rear door handles stick up when used unless pushed down. - Slight exhaust rattle at idle. - Interior is a little dirty, a good detail would make it look a lot better. You won't find another like this on Craigslist, most by now have been hacked together or barely run. I'd drive this thing anywhere at any time and not even second guess it. It hasn't missed a beat since owning it. Price is pretty firm. His For Sale link: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116503
  4. Then we would be picking out someone new wheels or congratulating someone on a new car purchase.
  5. I think it is a safe bet to say the owner is dead. The previous owners were 80 at the time of the sale of the house.
  6. Dealerships won't put a reman unit in so that explains the high cost of the engine. I've head the going rate for a Diesel shop around here is $190-ish an hour, I'm sure up there it is a little bit more than that.
  7. So I'd be better off making it a "self built" vehicle.....
  8. So my girlfriends parents bought their home in the early 90's and a barn is located in the back of the property and they have told me that a truck is located inside. Her father estimates it to be an " late 60's early 70's something" and has offered me a decent amount of money and ownership of the truck IF I can cut down the growth around the barn and yank it out. I have not laid eyes on this thing, BUT my interest for some reason has been peaked by this thing. How would they go about getting a title? I know there has to be an abandonment clause or similar in Ohio, I am gonna look up on Google shortly and see what the deal is. Would they consider 15-20 years ownership of the property enough to issue a new title to the truck? Thanks in advance.
  9. If this was a white on white, black on black, or asian on asian, etc. crime, we would not hear about any of this.
  10. If I was one hand would hold the gun, and another hold them. If not that then two hands on the gun. Meaning I could not type this....
  11. Zero evidence he wasn't trying to take the gun either.... INB4 someone says we all are racist for even commenting on this.
  12. I've been eyeballing this for the past month or so since you put it up. Maybe we should talk.
  13. Kid is a dumbass, Stewart is a jackass. Not much more to be said really
  14. Totally forgot about that thing. Thanks man, PM'd him.
  15. So is owning a diesel and hauling a ghost trailer with tow mirrors, I don't see your point...
  16. Looking to buy a regular or extended cab short bed 2wd GM truck. Prefer a 5.3 but would consider a 4.8, no V6's. Looking to spend 8-10k at most, figured I'd start here before I look all over the country and Internet. 1999-2004 are the years I'd prefer as well. Thanks
  17. Having worked at AutoZone I wouldn't trust their tester. advanced uses interstate testers iirc and they are a little more accurate. I always have bench tested my alternator when in doubt, it eliminates any other issues that may interfere with the testing.
  18. I would raise all kinds of hell for diminished value since it isn't a run of the mill car.

    Saturday 8/2

Any interest in meeting for Sonic tonight? Me and Nickey will be at the new Roosters off of Gemini Place at 9:00 PM. It's short notice and a late dinner but feel free to post up if you wish to join. It is located within sight of Sonic.
  20. I'm in need of a laptop for work. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, it just needs to work everyday. Looking to spend $100 or so, not sure how far that will get me but figured I'd try here before I buy a new one for $300 or so. I'd prefer windows 7, screen size doesn't matter, wifi capability is a must.
  21. It's nothing short of lolzy that a fucking v6 firebird is quicker than your GTO. Put 93 in it and you'll pick up 2 tenths if you are lucky. I guess you could do something with torque management and pick up another 2 tenths. Or sell it and get an ls2 GTO like many said and run 13's all day.
  22. I would take a misfire or two over having to take my car back to the dealer after 100-200 miles for a new CVT... As stated, all company have their issues. Sucks for your bro but good thing for warranty.
  23. Man, I used to like reading Rolling Stone. I guess that is one more to ignore permanently.
