Think you may have responded to the wrong thread there boss

Wanted to reach out to all of you, one of our customers trucks who JUST got their ride back had it stolen over the weekend. Unfortunately I only have photos of it when it was here in the shop being worked on. If you see this truck or any of its components let me know! 2004 Ram 2500 with a coal stack in the bed, sticker behind the drivers seat of "Coal King". Wheels are Fuel wheels, believe the tires are 37s. http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20160218_170826_zpsgvukkxxh.jpg CR mobilize!

We use Performance Auto Spa in Plain City. They are local right down the street from our shop essentially and do excellent work especially for the price.

+1 for Fleet discounts Have had State Farm through a personal connection since I was 16 and had a fleet discount since my early 20s, excellent rates, never an issue even with a very healthy payout when my Mustang was stolen and another when my Stealth was broken into.

Unfortunately this isn't a "TD" only issue, a lot of shops go with Good Enough brand of alignments. Those of us who pay to run $250,000 Hunter machines don't typically give those away for free with a single new tire purchase, just to quote a recent radio ad. In fact, it's the only service we don't discount even for CR.. at $99 per alignment you do the math on how many we need to do to pay for the equipment. It's very possible a Road Force balancing will take care of your issue, a simple spin should make it very obvious what the balance on each looks like. Another thing that's not all that well known in the tire world is not all tires were born on the same day in the same location, and you can end up with one "bad egg" that's possibly from an older batch that got thrown on your ride. Either way, I would head back to the shop take one of the managers out on the road and let him/her feel what you are feeling. If they can't or won't fix it time to check another TD location or have a shop look ya over.

Swing out sometime to Bullet Liner and check out their setup. Very good setup and they are doing TONS of work for local dealers. Their product is high end, holds up great, and their warranty is fantastic if you ever have an issue. Can only speak of personal experience never used or been around the Linex products/people but Bulletliner is definitely A+ in my book

CR dinner night when the doors open again?

$350-$450 for the full rear end is about where we are on them too. Actually picking one up for the "Project" here in a week or two

+1 for Bullet Liner, we do business every day with Nate (owner) and his crew and you can a very solid product at a reasonable price. For the headache of prepping the bed, buying, and spraying yourself have it done right once and enjoy the results.

It's gonna be 12 degrees tomorrow, hey what's a little frostbite among CR friends?

Congrats Sir on making your passion into a career. You'll find as you step over the doubters that most of them are just people who refuse to scratch claw and work to make their own dreams come true. Looking forward to some good content!

Well, starting to go through the 8 boxes of "stuff" we pulled out of the garage along with the car for a change it looks like someone OVER kept things. Down to all of the original bolts and washer, impressive! One thing that makes this sort of process insanely more smooth is keeping all the little stuff. To feel like we have accomplished something we resurfaced and polished the rear quarter windows and got them mounted. Progress! https://youtu.be/4QwSyyHaElc

Hmmm well, if you are still looking for help this weekend I'll see if I can snag a hoist from the shop and swing by

"Yea these guys do good work and very trustworthy" "Ok great how do I get there?" "Well you know where Kahoots is? The strip club? Yea go there, and its right behind it" <woman customer looks at you with a very not amused look>

The guys at Noebull are definitely honest workers, I used to sell them parts quite a lot and never heard anything bad from them. Other than getting TO their garage which is a little funky. I echo the take it somewhere else statement. Not saying all quicky lubes are shady but they often aren't the most honest of establishments and run on shoestring budgets where "add-ons" are the only thing that keep their doors up and lights on. If Plain City isn't too far for her to get it to, we would of course be happy to help!

Right on man congrats on the purchase. Always nice to see someone buy something they want for personal reasons not just stats/articles. What all does TRD have coming down the pipe for it that you are interested in?
-
Upgrade time? Typically speaking you can get aftermarket turbos for damn near the same cost of replacing/rebuilding stockers. Isn't that how this drug works? "Well I COULD replace it with stock parts ... but.... for just a liiittle extra..."
-
This goes into the "why we don't let customers watch" category of wrenching. Because some of the things we have to do... get rather medieval
-
If you weren't on the entire other side of the city from our shop we could definitely be of more help to you. Are you planning to just hoist out and put it on a tire or have an engine stand ready to put it on once it's out?
-
Nothing in Plain City to report, went down to Grove Port to pickup some tires and around the Broad/Grove City area it went from a little drizzle to big ass flakes in a matter of seconds. Last a few minutes, loaded up head back to the shop and everything stopped as soon as I crossed back north of 70. Haven't even gotten my snowboard out of the bag this year

Also realize that when you create a new profile you are still coming from the same IP address. Regardless of whether or not you have a unique name that's completely different from your primary account that got flagged, on the back end their system can still see that it's "you" due to your IP.

Get everything sorted out over the weekend?

So as the parts acquiring process continues of course as many of you may have noticed in one of the earlier photos I posted there's a V8 sitting on the floor next to the Mustang. That we will call an "organ donor" With some refreshing/remachining and upgrades that will become the heart of our new Dreamer car, currently it's a low mileage but seasoned late model Ford 302 that had been switched back to a carb setup. Full serp belt setup, Edelbrock intake manifold, headers, couple other small upgrades but a great place to build from. So this next week or so it will come apart for some major surgery as we start sourcing our transmission/rear end. Couple of photos as it sits before being torn apart. http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/IMG_20160205_223929_747_zpsdr6utzyu.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/IMG_20160205_223922_084_zpsx3uzhg67.jpg

Nothing special about the car unfortunately, just a random good find. Was initially a non A/C inline six car with a stick painted in good ole Mustang red. Don't have any photos of what it looked like in its stock status as that was back 15 years ago. Likely it will be going back on the road as something sort of Resto-modded
