  4. you don't need water in the oil, good idle or steam in the exhaust to have bad head gaskets. your heater core may be clogged, one hose (in) will be hot and the other hose (out) will be cold or warm. you may be able to clear it out by putting a water hose on the out side and flush it out. there are a few things on the over heating part. fan clutch could have failed. the impeller on the water pump could have fallen off and not moving the water when your driving. there is more but its hard to say over the internet with out looking at it. you can pick up a block tester from NAPA and that will tell you if you could have bad head gaskets. it changed color with the presents of exhaust gas in the coolant.
  5. then its worthless, reverse is where you need the torque.

    it is inside the transmission.
  8. its easier than your car was. its takes maybe 20 mins to get it all done. hal, yeah a little bit. just remember all LSx type engines are dry. 4.8, 5.3, 5.7 and the 6.0.
  9. there is a bulletin for the issue. i have done alot of them at work.
  10. chances are it is your intake. a clogged fuel filter could cause this as well. take the filter off and try to blow through it. if its hard to blow throught then you can stop there and just replace that. if thats not the problem replace your intake gaskets with GM part number 89017589. they are a teal gasket insted of the orange ones that are on the truck now. GM has some problems with the material the orange ones were made out of reacting with the fuel and the teal ones are different so it doesn't happen again.
  11. i live down the street from there, there is a place there. its down at the end of 256 by the 5-way just before the bank.
