  1. fit in there with that snap-on screw drive?
  2. its along the lines of a wheel balance. keeps the vibrations out of the engine. the crank is balanced on a machine that spins it pretty fast and the rods are balanced on a scale type device. pistons are are weighed and weight removed so they all weigh the same.

    engine swap

well you guys remember a few months ago when jason's engine blew in his Z06? well GM didn't want it back so i can buy it for the core charge. thats kinda why i was asking just because i could get it dirty cheep.

    engine swap

after some research on swapping my LS6 out for an LS7 i still can not find what i'm looking for. i know i can make the LS7 a wet sump or can leave it a dry sump. i'm also pretty sure i can use the C6 Z06 headers since pretty much everything other than the body work will bolt right onto my car no problems. my question is what about the PCM? will an LS6 PCM handle the LS7? i know there is a few things i need to modify on the wire harness and i know that alot of people do an LS2 swap into there C5's so what will i need to do? i got kinda lazy on the search part and figured i would just ask and see if anyone knows or has a link to more info. its also not a sure thing i may just sell the LS7 and use the money to mod the car some.
  14. PM me if you want it rebuilt. its not just your truck GM has had this problem for years. i have rebuilt quite a few for people on this board so maybe they'll chime in. and i rebuild them at a chevy dealer.
  15. dodge trucks are also known for intake gaskets. this time of year there will prolly be more condinsation which would explane the smoke out of the exhaust and the brown on the oil cap. best thing to do is get a block tester from NAPA, its a blue liquid that when you suck the fumes out of the coolant will change color if there is exhaust gas present in the coolant and then that would narrow you down to a head gasket.

  17. just stay away from the 2.7L V6 intrepid, sebring, stratus cars. pretty much everyone blows up. the camaro was getting 27.5 MPG when i sold it and the vette was getting that on the way home when i got it. 1 was an LS1 and the other an LS6.
  18. damn is that what NTB is up to now? people think dealers are expensive since we're at 85.
  19. OSU wins they burn cars and dumpsters.....OSU loses they burn cars and dumpsters.
  20. mechanical gauge screws into where the pil pressure sender is, then you can watch it to see if the pressure falls off like it is on the dash. if it doesn't then install a new sender. if it does you have other problems.

    new toy!!

  22. might want to put a mechanical gauge on it and be sure there is a problem before you fear the worst.
