http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/sons-guns-star-facing-new-rape-accusations-daughter-report-article-1.1931013 My bad it was an ex-girlfriend who made the initial accusations not an ex-wife.

From what I've read the allegations were from Will's youngest daughter (11 years old) but that he is or was recently going through a nasty divorce in which the ex wife had lied about prior abuse (non-sexual) so it was a bit sketchy. However over the weekend his oldest daughter, the one on the show, also came out in support of her younger sister's testimony and added that she too was sexually abused by their father. Not looking good. I'd like to say 'innocent until proven guilty' but in the court of public opinion this guy is already fried. And if the allegations are true then he deserves it. As for the show its already cancelled, the CEO of Red Jacket firearms released a statement immediately distancing himself from Will, no doubt in a PR move but shit something like this could end a small company pretty easily.

So how much did this mistake cost you in the end?

I have some friends who live in that area, as it was said before its mostly old people who have lived in their homes for decades. Personally if the deal was good enough I wouldn't mind living there. I live in dublin now and commute downtown for work and most weekends. the traffic in dublin on the weekends can be fucking stupid (esp 23/270 area towards worthington).

I like this truck so much I might just buy it anyway. It's more or less not having to deal with the hassle of recalls, having my only mode of transportation in the shop, etc... But as far as the truck itself goes it's exactly what I want, big enough to carry my hockey gear, camping gear, etc but small enough to drive daily with huge gas bills.

Contacted tansky Toyota today, their service rep said there was an open service call on it to inspect the frame but couldn't tell me anything more than that. Then mentioned something about applying a "compound" to fix the problem. I don't think there is a magic compound that exists that will fix rust? Maybe I'm just confused as to what he was referring to? Either way nothin could be done until the truck was inspected by a dealership and Toyota to decide how severe the problem is.

So I've been car/truck shopping and I found a nice 08 Tacoma I'm fairly set on buying. Has anyone had any experience with these? good, bad, ugly? I understand there was a frame recall on the early 2000's tacoma's but I'm not sure how extensive that was. This particular model is a standard cab, manual transmission, 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive. Thanks for any input you guys might have.

I'm really sorry for your loss Thorne, hopes and prayers for you and your family in this hard time.

I got the same score. Normally I can do pretty well on these but they focused alot on expensive super cars which i know nothing about.

We're currently in the same boat with Uverse. Clerical errors (switching account holder names and bank acct info) caused us to be behind 3 months worth of payments, I paid the entire amount in June, paid July now they are saying we're 3 months past due again for $385, fucking ridiculous. I'm hardly ever home to enjoy the 2000 channels we have and the only reason I would even keep it is for CBJ games in HD.

I lol'd only b/c I'm praying that you are joking. If you're not... well ... ok then.

In another article I did read that outbreaks in first world countries are rare and often contained immediatly simply because our society and daily environment is cleaner. Our sewage is under ground, its normal for people to wash their hands several times a day, we bath ourselves regularly, etc... in third world countries none of this occurs. Add to that, if there ever was a legitimate scare people become hermits. Everyone will stay home, no one will go out for any reason. Overreaction? probably, but do this for a week or so in an urban or suburban environment and it isolates cases quickly.

I read an article from the head nurse at Emory University Hospital (the hospital hosting the two American Ebola patients) in which she defended the decision to bring two Ebola patients stateside. While she makes a passionate argument for helping these two patients (both doctors themselves) i think she really misses the point on the health system as a whole. She romanticized the move like its the right thing to do and over all the health system in America is expected to do the "right thing". No, lets get one things straight lady the health system in the United States is an industry no different than any other form of commerce. They make money. The points she should have made were that the WHO and CDC both need to study the virus in a controlled environment to test new vaccination's to see if they work (which some have been somewhat successful) THAT is the real reason, and the ONLY reason why these two patients should have been brought stateside. Everything else is just noise. My personal opinion is that weighing the risks of knowingly bringing the virus to the states, was there really no other option?! Are there absolutely NO medical treatment facilities in all of Africa that could have been used? And while I'm not as cold hearted as some i will say that they safety and the needs of the many always outweigh the needs of the individual. Heaven forbid there is some sort of outbreak in Atalanta (a city of 440,000 people) then what happens? who will believe the CDC when they say, "don't worry we have this under control.... again... not like the first time". Not trying fear monger or anything just raising legit questions. Most likely nothing will happen they will treat these patients and hopefully they make a full recovery. EDIT: found the article http://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/08/06/im-the-head-nurse-at-emory-this-is-why-we-wanted-to-bring-the-ebola-patients-to-the-u-s/

I do need a new tent. Is all of their stuff pricey, backpacking equipment made for treks up Everest or do they cater to the suburban, occasional camper?

I'm sorry but at what point do you simply say, "no, i want a lawyer" and that's it? I might give consent to search my vehicle and a 'pat down' search on my person because they're going to do that before they put you in the back of a police car anyway but anything further than that I'll just lawyer up and we can wait for my representation. I don't think that's a dick move at all.

The funniest thing i have seen all week.

Curious what CR thought on this. I have yet to hear a valid argument on why someone would need to open-carry a long gun (rifle, AR, shotgun, etc...). I get the argument that it is technically your constitutional right to do so, so therefore you should excercise said right. But whats the point in doing so when your out at lunch, or going to the grocery store, or.... the airport http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/07/29/1317499/-Arizona-man-arrested-in-Phoenix-Sky-Harbor-Airport-after-open-carry-protest-terrifies-travelers ? So maybe people could do so in some sort of protest, or rally for second ammendment rights? Ok i can support that, but doing it daily, I don't get it?

I think both services are awesome and both have saved me a lot of money over the past few weeks. That being said, we were picked up in some guys new Acura MDX a few weeks ago, by far the nicest cab/uber/lyft vehicle I've ever been in so i had to ask, "has anyone thrown up in your backseat yet?" the answer was no.

I use standard MRE's and cycle them out after 5 or so years. Not sure of the cost comparison between MRE's and the "bucket" deals but I'm only preparing for 2 people, not a family in your case. And without getting into the whole 'insane prepper' argument, FEMA recommends every household has at least 3 days worth of provisions on hand at any time. Considering that's a conservative government figure, and how worthless FEMA has been in past disasters I extended that to 30days. Just something to think about. I have heard of people planning much longer but to each is own i suppose. As for water, a Water Bob is a good thing to have in a disaster scenario, though it does take some planning and I personally would recommend having a few gallon jugs of water on hand just in case. http://www.amazon.com/waterBOB-Emergency-Drinking-Storage-Gallons/dp/B001AXLUX2/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1406653687&sr=1-1&keywords=water+bob

Taking my mom out to lunch sunday in the Cinci/Milford area Saturday and need recommendations on some good, small restaurants, preferably Italian food. I visit all the time but other than some chain restaurants I have no idea what Cinci has to offer restaurant-wise. Any recommendations?

well that's super.

Just to clear up some misunderstanding, my friend took it on the chin and paid his ticket. Im not arguing if he should fight it, I'm asking an honest question as to whether or not this form of traffic stop and ticket citation is completely legit. To answer a previous post, the trooper pilot did not keep visual confirmation on my friends jeep during the entire traffic stop and I can prove this b/c our other friend who was traveling in a black accord behind us was stopped for the same reason. So the pilot needed to rate and prove the jeep was speeding then do the same for the accord, then move onto the next car and so on and so forth. Also, troopers were lined up on the side of the road over a hill, when we went over the hill they walked to the center of the lane and pointed us to pull over (we had pulled into the left lane to give safe clearance thinking the troopers were performing a traffic stop). Again I'm not saying my friend should have fought the ticket, I'm questioning the validity of this form of revenue generating traffic stop.

72mph on route 23, which i believe is 65? maybe 55mph? It was in a different county, not franklin. It was a speed trap, they were doing it all day. and in his defense he could always say, "if you were busy pulling my car over and talking to other motorist's how can you be sure there were no other vehicles similar to mine on the road?"
-
I'll sum this up the best i can. Friend got a ticket from an "pilot" state trooper (flying above in a small plane, tracking cars through a set distance and judging speed). Trooper in a car flagged us down and gave us the ticket. I'm not doubting the accuracy of such a ticket however, the only description the pilot gave was a "black jeep", thus the trooper on the ground pulled over the first "black jeep" he saw and wrote the ticket. Other than this no other indication on what exact vehicle was speeding. IF my friend wanted the fight this ticket couldn't he simply show up on his court date and say "the state trooper can not confirm or deny that I was the only "black jeep" on the road that day or in the general vicinity"? Its not what you know, its what you can prove and unless the pilot has a license plate number how can they prove it was my friend who was speeding? For comparison, our friend was driving behind us in a late model black accord and he got a similar ticket. How many honda accords are registered in the state of ohio at any given time? My buddy didn't fight it, he just ended up eating the cost which i think was $140 or so. This is more of a hypothetical question.
