  1. This is what he was pretty much offering to his buddies (fellow OR members) No one started to bicker until Flounder stated something that had no foundation in reality. I was allowed to shoot from any of those spots, but I didn't want to get stuck for any extended amount of time since I was also riding. Yes the track day org gave me permission and I almost took them up on it particularly at Bus Stop. Likwid basically offered to shoot for any of our fellow OR brothers and sisters. Didn't sound like to me he was ever even intending to muscle in your official photographer's business. If anyone blew this out bigger than intended it was you and Flounder. We were just responding to your statements.
  2. That's cool. I consider these pretty basic photos from that last trackday I was at:
  3. What do you consider "basic pics"?
  4. That's funny. I'm the official photographer at a local MMA venue and I could care less if someone from the seating section is shooting photos and trying to sell them to the fighters. no matter the price. If I have the goal to sell prints to the fighters and I have my cage side special access, but someone from the "common" area is able to undercut me and take sales then the problem is me not the guy selling for less from s less than ideal position.
  5. some of those where just scary.
  6. That was kind of dumb. I was expecting a chick when I saw the convertible.
  7. Actually if I'm a photographer that has special access that the others don't get I could care less. If I can't out sell the guys who don't get to shoot from the best spots and only gets to shoot from where everyone else does I may want to take a second look at how I'm shooting, pricing or marketing myself.
  8. That would be awesome. I prefer shooting with others most of the time.
  9. Those are great. I'm going to have to get out to a track to try it more this year.
  10. Flounder's claim of ownership is what we were arguing and in that case he is completely wrong.
  11. I'm guessing you really didn't read that thread. Where does it say anything about a comparison of being a professional and work being crap. The link included in the thread agrees with me. It's mostly about marketing. Just because you can sell photo services doesn't mean you don't suck. EDIT: That is an in general you not meaning you specifically.
  12. I read that thread. It's not a good read at all.
  13. Without US support in that region Israel would be shitting their pants.

We have one our youngest uses to mostly shoot with. An occasional jam, but we found using higher velocity stuff (minimags, stingers,...) to be more reliable.
  16. Iraq is a 'humanitarian' mission, we were/are basically saving them from an evil dictator. They posed no threat and weren't related to 9/11 in anyway.
  17. @snodgrass23 - I just checked out your site. You have some great stuff in there.
  18. I'm not sure I can form an argument against that. Two things I have really started to hate are the over use of sepia toning and selective coloring.
  19. Art is subjective, but not all photography is art. There is still a right or wrong way shoot a lot of subjects.
