Nifty fifty FTW! Love the lens and for the price it's hard to beat. The 100 f2 is a great lens also. I almost picked one up before settling on the macro. Another benefit to the 24-105 that I hadn't thought about in my last post is that it's probably a better walk around lense than the 24-70 since you get the extra reach.

The gain from the 2.8 is really nice. The only thing IS helps with is a steady hand. I only shot with the 24-105 once and it wasn't enough to make me want to consider trading my 24-70 for. I found being able to get better speeds in dimly lit situations were flash wasn't a good option more important. If I didn't have to worry about that the 24-105 would definitely be the way to go. Right now if I want decent bokeh for portraits I use a 50 1.8 or my 100mm macro.

That is one of my next lenses. I'm picking up the Tokina 11-16 first though.

We were supposed to be up there tonight, but something came up. We might be there tomorrow though.

Looks like he's trying to hard to get knee down to me too, but with only a single track weekend my opinion isn't worth much.

Just drove from Beavercreek through Kettering and then through to Centerville and it's not too bad. People amazingly aren't driving like complete morons yet. I was in the Legacy though so the AWD drive made whatever is on the roads mean about nothing. My wife said the Mazda didn't have as fun a time earlier. We're supposed to get a bit heavier snow before it starts to taper off around 3-4PM.

It's coming down more and more as the day goes by, 1/2 - 1 inch maybe so far. My wife was out driving around an hour ago or so and said the roads were already starting to suck.

But what if the intern is really, really, really hot?
