  1. Or in San Fransisco, or the Short North. You are either trying to tell us something, or that's Wayne's Christmas present.
  2. Not my fault you were working Thursday. I told Adam to invite you.
  3. It's a 2 way street there buddy. You never call either. Truth be told, not spent too much time on the street this year. Gimme a call before the season's over and we'll ride.
  4. Stay positive man. I'll keep you in my prayers.
  5. Call me on this one dude. "Name Brand" isn't quite what it used to be. The AR market has grown big time and there are some little guys that are making good stuff. All of my AR's have been built, either complete parts kits or me cherry picking components.
  6. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of TDI from tons of people. I've done courses elsewhere and some of the instructors also taught for TDI and those guys were top notch. I really ought to get down there myself.
  7. "The ECU settings have been revised for increased performance." I wonder if this means that the throttle will be allowed to hit 100% open vs 80% above a certain rpm like in the 09's.
  8. Don't do too many stops, gates close at midnight.
  9. Bump in case anyone wants to take Jbot's spot/bike if he's late today.
  10. I'll miss it too. I'm sure I'll go back next year, but with most of my trackday crew being STT staff its not likely I'll be at mid ohio too much. My first track and definitely my favorite.
  11. Most places that offer IPSC or IDPA "training" are hacks. Those are competition orgs and you can pretty much show up and find someone willing to show you the ropes and teach you the rules. I've seen ranges offer "classes" on practical shooting and rarely is the person qualified. Best bet is to find a club that hosts events. Tactical courses can be found all over. There are a lot of instructors that travel and teach (hackathorn, vickers, etc...). TDI is southern Ohio is highly rated.
  12. Looks pretty neat, but I wouldn't bother going fancy colors with a carry gun. You don't need to draw any extra attention to the gun if your shirt rides up or something. Now, a range gun or IPSC piece? Absolutely.
  13. Kahr P9 or PM9. CW9 if you want to go cheaper. Fantastic trigger, high quality, slim, easy to conceal, and easy to shoot accurately. Selling my P9 was a mistake. I have a keltec p3at as a pocket gun and I'll replace it with a pm9 as soon as I stumble upon a deal.
  14. Thanks for the birthday wishes. If you are still wondering what to get me, I accept cash, booze, ammunition, power 2ct or power one tires, and gift certificates to STG and STT.
  15. Roads will last longer, Powers have a more aggressive profile and will feel like the bike turns in quicker. Either should suit you fine. I get anywhere from 4-5k with powers, roads should be good for 8k or more.
  16. What he suggested will raise the shock length to change the geometry for quicker turn in. If you have an aftermarket shock, you may be able to adjust it for a lower ride height, but I doubt it will be adjustable to lower than stock. Get the new dogbones and adjust the triples.

I did close to 14k last year and I probably could've done 18k if I tried.

You gonna chime in on how big of a tool he is?

So the lessons we're supposed to learn here are what? If you ride a lot of miles, and ride really really fast on the street then you are a better person than someone who rides less miles or is slower ? Nice
  20. I fully expect it to pass, eventually. Ohio's ccw laws sucked as initially passed and have gotten progressively better as they have refined the nonsense parts put in originally. Restaurant Carry is really the last piece to making it a pretty decent setup. It just won't necessarily be soon. I would continue to pester the critters in the state legislature on the issue.
  21. Nope, not everything, but in terms of firearms, I definitely know more than you. Also, I am not infallible and capable of making mistakes. My understanding was that it was changed from criminal trespass to a civil infraction under the last revision of the law. I did not verify that piece and went by the last revision of the Attorney General's handbook in my possession which inferred it as well. I did not follow my own advice, which is to read the statute for yourself. I checked the latest online and it clears it up to parking lots only. On this issue, I was wrong and you are right. Enjoy it.
  22. This statement refers to places with signs, not statutory restrictions on places you can't carry. The market has done quite a bit. Money talks, and a lot of businesses that put up those no guns signs took them down due to pressure from consumers. Research it a bit. For what its worth, those signs don't mean a whole lot, concealed means concealed, and its not a criminal offense but civil.
  23. Centre County I believe. Many counties won't do non-resident.
  24. No sand in my vagina, but I think a lot of your firearm related posts here could be avoided if you "listened to your elders" more. You remind me of the new guy at the martial arts school that always has to question the instructor (which is different than asking questions). Beat on them enough and they'll either learn from it or quit. That's my hope here.
