  1. Where to start?

Custom built dune buggy, assembled with these 2 hands from the ground up.

    • custom wiring
    • custom front bumper
    • custom headlights
    • custom rain cover
    • custom turn signals
    • custom tail lights
    • custom shift knob :D
    • custom paint (my first paint job so not perfect)

the only thing stock on the whole vehicle is the engine, it's a 1970's vintage VW bus motor, 1600cc

Clutch was upgraded to a stage 2 unit from spec

new clutch plate, and pressure plate

Flywheel professionally resurfaced by a local shop

new valve cover gaskets and rear main seal this past year.

new brake hoses (non installed yet, but will be if buyer wants it done before delivery)

    33" tires

    Hidden push button start

There isn't too much left to tell, it's a small car, and it's an absolute blast.

Turns more heads, and gets more waves than anything I've ever driven or ridden in.

I'd like to get $3000, but I'm open to offers.

Example of the mad wiring skills that will certainly be sufficient for helicopter building

  2. I don't really have any input in this sine I ride a GSXR and have never even took a short ride on an R6. But in the end, most if not ALL of these "Track only" guys/gals have and will continue to put more miles on the street than a lot of these "street riders". Actually most could not ride a single track event for a season and still put more miles on their bike in a year than most OR members do. That being said, they are also the ones that study and research things like this not just for the track but for overal practicality.

I.P., I'd say you pretty much summed up this thread.

For Real? Its a $40 part and an hour of his time to do a completely reversible mod.

What is the problem with him trying it out and deciding for himself?

I think we successfully made a mountain out of a molehill

  3. She doesn't have anything like that. I'm gonna buy her some pepper spray tomorrow. Hopefully that will help her feel a bit safer. For now though she said she's never going shopping alone again.

There is a difference between "feeling safe" and "being safe" don't arm your wife with the illusion of safety. Get her a god damn gun so she can shot some asshole in the god damned face!

  4. At 5'7" and a whole inch taller, I can't believe you would need to lower the R6. My 675 has a much higher seat height and its not an issue. You can get shorter/narrower seats and get some proper riding boots with a nice thick sole and you should be good.

If you must lower it, realize you are messing with the suspension geometry. Read up on it, and make sure you're lowering the front by raising the forks through the triple clamps so that the front is lowered equally. People say don't lower it, yet some of the short AMA riders do it and I bet their bikes handle just fine. But they've done a lot to keep rake/trail at proper angles and ratios.

I just found out that people have different inseams and sometimes weigh different amount. So maybe you have a long inseam for your height or maybe you weigh more.

I have ridden with many people on this site and lets be honest most cant ride for shit. Lower it if you have too

  5. It involves pulling the cam covers, rotating the motor and using feeler gauges to check clearances. I would say anyone can do it if you take your time, but someone experienced could probably do it much more quickly.

  6. Both good points. The cost of reunification after the entire NK military complex is obliterated is just incalculable, and will make East and West Germany seem like pennies in comparison. That, and we don't have the best record on this after royally fucking up Afghanistan and Iraq, we would be well served to leave the heavy lifting to the SK's.

Add to that list of failures Vietnam and Korea the first time. Oh and Iraq a second time.

  7. I'm all for minding our business' date=' but NK needs a solid dose of the rest of the globe kicking in its teeth. This isn't Iraq, Afghanistan or some other "oppressed" culture. These are abused, beaten, starved people being treated worse than we treat our fucking food. I would support, 100%, a "boots on the ground" invasion of North Korea.

Yeah we would fuck that up too. I don't need more family members blown up over this shit

  8. south korea and japan's. I still dont understand why the US feels it has to be the worlds babysitter, if they can't handle themselves then fuck em

This! If they aren't concerned about their "safety" then we shouldn't be either. The arrogance of this country is disgusting.

  9. I think the US should mind its fucking business and stop pissing away tax dollar money.

Who are we to tell someone their government is fucked? Look at the shit situation we have allowed to happen here

  10. She wouldn't care because I didn't share anything personal about "why", no details at all were posted. I just asked if anyone hated their wife at times. I'd never bow down to a woman no matter how much I cared for her, if the woman don't want me to say shit, then don't piss me off in all honesty. Plus this is why we need a man only forum since you have a woman forum, to keep you guys from typing your input because we honestly don't want to hear it. :p ...seriously, for real.....no, seriously.;)

I can't believe how many perfect marriages there are one this site. Nick I am with you. IP I feel you too.
