  1. I started out at Lowes. I was there for 4 years running different departments (hardware, lumber, and millwork). I left there to work for a custom design and build porch and patio company. Don want to mention who it was. I was the project/production manager for them. I was I charge of production of 5 crews. I initiated an online program to track the crews, and was let go shortly after the owner had a grasp on how to use it. I was off for 7 weeks. I took a job with Ohio Mulch as a store manager. I was told there were full benefits and it would be 40-45 hrs a week. After a few weeks I went to sign up for benefits and they only offer dental and vision. Wtf? I have a family that I want to have covered. I went back to my old store manager at lowes and talked to him about returning. I took a lesser position as a commercial sales delivery driver and now start on Monday. I will have benefits and a schedule that is more realistic for me and my family.

I would entertain offers at this point. But do need a company that offers benefits and a somewhat steady schedule.

Go work at Menards. Their department managers make 70 after a couple years. Talk to Joey, the gm, at the morse road store

  2. they aren't called accidents, they are called collisions. ;)

an accident is something that cannot be reasonably foreseen or predicted and cannot be avoided. accident implies that it just happened out of the blue and there was nothing you could do to avoid it. when you rear end someone, that is not the case.

a collision is a result of choices made and risks disregarded.

    word choice matters.

i would love to belive the blue code of silence does not exist, but things like abner louima, max siefert, anthony acosta, otto zehm (and about a thousand more) can really make a person wonder ya know?

Get the fuck out of here with your logic and reason. Maybe I could smash you on the head with a brick and dummy you up enough to be a cop

  3. I've been considering changing companies, but talk myself out of it for fear of grass not being greener. I make very good money here, that out weighs the minor negatives. Good luck in your old position.

If someone asks you if "you ever have one of those days" and you answer "everyday" then you need to move on.

  4. really how many kids do you think are commuting? id wager that the majority of students live either ON campus or just east of high in the neighborhood.

im sure there is a decent number of commuters, but you gotta also think its not just students. there's staff and faculty too. sure some of them are coming in regardless of break, but im sure a decent amount of employees are taking the week off too.

    that is correct.

  5. Campus living is expensive because there is a known demand, and relatively small supply. Simple economics.

While it's not "insurance" per se, over charging also helps pad the losses caused by tenant damage.

campus is expensive because there are these invisible force fields at certain streets that keep you from getting stabbed. So the supply is kept low because of shitty law enforcement in the university district.

  6. So you think stopping in the middle of a 4+ lane road with traffic behind you moving at 45+ mph, for no clear reason, is appropriate and legal behavior?

My penis is ridiculously tiny, actually. Plus I have a gut which sort of overlaps it. Your girlfriend played hell getting to it, but she's a tenacious little skank.

That is why she is my girlfriend. With a wife at home I wouldn't want a girlfriend that isn't a skank

  7. So a Crown Vic and a 600cc sport bike are traveling at 45 mph on the road, and the bike stops abruptly.

Will the Crown Vic, driven by a competent driver and in good mechanical condition, be able to stop as fast as the motorcycle; and stop fast enough to avoid hitting the motorcycle; at a safe following distance of 50 feet?

Safe following distance is the distance required to stop and not hit the vehicle in front of you. It is not measured in feet, time or any other units

  8. Lol its okay I understand you don't have the drive, will, or determination to keep up.

Go back to drinking beer, eating fast food, and raising your estrogen levels.

Friday night what are you doing? Sitting at home or out at a bar? I'm busting my ass for fun.

I digress I am at home working on another college degree instead of busting my ass for fun.

my wife wont let me pic up bitches so no motivation to get ripped

  9. So my wife and I have been thinking about switching from Progressive to SF when we move to the house to the house in July and putting everything in a bundle. Does and one have or had SF and what was/is your experience with them?

    Pros

    They are cheap

    Cons

    Everything else

  10. Well stated Bubba.

So much of this thread is missing the big picture. We are arguing taxes, politicians, and policies while missing the point, INCOME.

I doubt that there are any 1%'ers or even 5%'ers on this forum, because the would not be associated with us vagrants. Yet still we argue and defend them???

This video was eye opening. I knew it was bad but was under the "think" model. Until we stop believing what super pacts like Americans for Prosperity tell us (they devide and conquer us), realize that we are all in the middle, and start acting in a common interest (that is democracy) it will get worse until it colapses.

Not a 1%er but we will be in the other category in the next couple months. If you want to give away the money that you worked for to those less fortunate by all means do so. There is nothing stopping you or any liberal.

Liberals fall under "do as I say" rather than "do as I do"

You worry about your money and ill worry about mine

  11. The largest users of welfare in the country are wal mart employees. Wal mart simply uses welfare to provide food and healthcare to its employees. But welfare uses very little of our taxes and its not true or fair in any sense to say anyone wants to tax rich people so they can give it to the poor. Welfare is not responsible for the federal deficit. Its also important to remember welfare is children, who not fault of their own have no health insurance. Medicare for all would fix that, but republicans are against that too.

Welfare is not responsible for the federal deficit, it is the result of everyone collecting welfare is not contributing income taxes

  12. Clintons tax bill passed in 1993. Tom foley was speaker then. Newts contract wasnt until 1994. so, your wrong. and once again. every republican voted against it. Clintons economy created 20 million jobs and balanced the budget. reagan tripled the deficit. TRIPLED. Every aspect of the reagan presidency was a disaster. the savings and loans crashed, had to be bailed out. iran/contra. etc. Reagan was senile and bearly knew where he was. he regularly confused real life with movies he had been in. And that how we got star wars. Reagan saw it in one of his movies. star wars is the single greatest boondoggle in history. Everyone told him it wouldnt work. it never worked and not one missile was ever successfully shot down. Those are just facts, and i dont understand your rudeness.

So Clinton created the dot.com industry?
