  1. Takes some balls to powershift 2nd gear with the car on the bumper. Real Men Bang Gears.
  2. Yup I know the guy. That was several years ago.
  3. :nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono: Scottie you have ALOT to learn about turbocharging and supercharging. My brain hurts now after reading this post and I think I will get a gun and blow my head off now.. Just sayin..... Wikipedia and Google should be your new favorites so you can do your research on the topic being discussed here. Oh and as far as my expertise in the area. I have been tuning both turbocharged and supercharged cars for the last 10 years. 4 of those years included 100+ 3800's with power levels anywhere from 150 whp to over 1000 whp. Once again.... Just sayin..
  4. I would say Ford might be holding their own now with the ecoboost. I am not a v6 guy. However, this ecoboost platform is looking pretty bad ass.
  5. Trans start coming apart at 300 whp in stock form
  6. Strong motors for sure. I have seen 300,000 miles out of engines with good maintenance. It is the transmission that is the weak link. You can not compare the 3.8 engine and the 3800 that gm did for all their fwd cars. Totally different animal.
  7. I do not think anything is kept private in this forum.
  8. Needs to be the next OR bike night. This place looks like it is one step down from a titty bar.
  9. Sounds like you need to go back to Jamaica
  10. DAMN IT. Now you have me thinking about this.
  11. I originally wanted a 700xx. Then I started reading about how people did not like the fact that the quads were unperdictable when trying to slide the ass end around under power. Guess I need to ride one first.
  12. I know honda has not had a sport quad since 2009. Looks like they are skipping 2011 as well. This tells me there must be a bunch of left overs in a warehouse somewhere. I heard from a GM of powersports shop that honda has models as old as 2005 sitting around. I am getting the itch to buy myself a xmas present and was thinking of a trx 450r depending on what kind of price I can find one for. So if anyone knows of where to find deals on Honda atv's let me know.
  13. Threads like this is what gets us through the winter. Very serious business for sure. Scottie, Maybe the thing to do is let this thread die. Its cool that you went and rode when there was snow on the ground. The first winter I had my bike I was out riding as long as the roads were dry. But after being uncomfortable, accelerating my chances of getting a cold, salty roads, and less available traction I will not get back on my bike until it is over 50 degrees again. If a motorcycle is your only means of transportation then by all means ride year round. Personally I like keeping my bike nice and do not want to take un necessary chances in having an accident. Body work is way to expensive to be replacing. The more you keep replying to this thread the more crap you are going to get. The people that I personally know giving you shit in this thread are good people and only giving crap when you make comments like kicking sideways at 140 mph. Maybe I should even be posting in this thread because of my business. Just let it die and people will stop giving you a bunch of shit.
  14. I would stick her on the dyno.
  15. I say lets just wall the probe and I will take your subs when you upgrade to btl's
  16. YES!!! Looking at the weather now for the next couple sundays!!!
  17. OR, My apologies for not making this happen Sunday. A couple of reasons for me letting this slip through the cracks. 1. I was having a PM with Casper asking if I wanted to make the Dyno Day part of a OR meet and greet. For some reason communication stopped on this. 2. Rewind back to last monday with a customer coming from Chicago with an RX7 ended up getting another motor build. The end result was over 100 dyno pulls and 20+ hours of dyno time starting with the first 15 hours friday at 2:00 pm till 5:00 am sat morning. I was then back in the shop three hours later for a dyno day for 2 mustang clubs. Once that was done the RX7 was back on the dyno to finish the tuning so he be back in Chicago at 8:30 am for an import race. This Rx7 pushed back to other tunes that have to be completed by sunday evening so they can be returned back to their customers on Monday. Needless to say I just ran out of time and plan on sleeping for a couple days after I get these cars done tomorrow. Being a 1 person operation is not always the easiest thing to do in my business. Maybe there is still enough time in the year to make this happen.
  18. Why have the prices of these bikes jump so much in just a couple years? I am sorry but that is alot of money for my taste. I have always wanted to buy at least one new motorcycle. However I think they are priced higher then what I am willing to spend for one. At this point the only time I will buy a new bike will be a 2 year old left over. I am sorry but wages have not gone up keep up with the cost of things. Looks like it is time to raise my dyno pricing so I can keep up with the Jones. I think I will be happy with my 01 1000 for awhile.
  19. I was out of town with the car dyno the two different times you called.
  20. I am talking with a couple other OR members on here and will be finalizing the details for this including the hours for this.
  21. My father has just what you are looking for. Give me a call at 778-8984 and I will get you in contact with him. 1995 F150 302 V8 with Auto. Motor and Trans runs like a top. Typical rust around the wheel wells. Is getting a new steering gear as we speak.
