  1. JP's wasnt AWD so would the ratios be different? I was wondering why this wouldnt go as fast as JP's. AWD trans vs FWD Trans? Tire Size or Final Drive? The questions arise...

Yes FWD has taller gearing/final. It does not take much to "hit" 200mph-I was on low boost -550whp- on all of my runs past 180mph- its just a matter of how fast you get there!

This car would have no issue hitting 200mph wih the right tire/gearing/pair of balls to do it without a cage in an econobox.

  2. No full cage? JP would have been tartar sauce...

Yes I would have been a meat nugget without the cage. Its funny that 30+ separate people have sent me this very same video. :lolguy:

Love the car- love the Hatchback body! They did not sent the AWD or AWD turbo models tot he US because it would have severely cut into the sales of the Eclipse-which did well in the US and shitty in most other world markets.

Car is sick I don’t see it making 97X WHP but that’s a moot point-Elvin's car is similar or better quality IMO-but us PR's cant afford dogboxes.

  3. Went-killed it-somehow weaseled my way into the Porsche Pit (all pit access was restricted) If I was any closer I would have been driving the car! Andy that guy worked out-ended up getting the tix for $100 for the pair  and Dinner was great! Clutch since I was boozing.

Have some pics-but things got blurry at night. Evidently any race at Daytona is an excuse for locals to party- and the local 18+ crowd to get rowdy. Once I found my in there-it was game over.

From a racing standpoint-Daytona kind of sucks for spectating-no elevation changes-you cant see shit unless you are in the stands somewhere-and all of the main stands are on the outside of the track, not even walkable. We were on the infield/pits/parting all day/night so it did not matter much-but Mid Ohio or Road America are much better venus if you want to watch actual racing- but the party at Daytona was worth the ticket by itself (if you into that). Most of the 18+ crowd did not know or care about the race, they just were there to party for 24 hours lol. Take spring break+a little red neck Nascar crowd+lots of booze and recreational drugs. Yeah Buddy 

  4. As the pictures imply, I acquired this beast from Jordan @ JET AUTO. I've never had such a fantastic car buying experience. Working with a genuine car enthusiast to find the perfect car for you is something we should all enjoy in our lives. Jordan has earned 100% of the future business, and I really can't thank him enough.

    Truth!

IMO- Jordan should be everyone's first call on CR wehen it comes to buying a car!

  5. I picked up the car to do a superlight Evo biased AWD set up-but life/baby/real estate/rx-7 makes this project about impossible. Its perfect for that-basically low rust-low miles-unmolested-our calculations had it around 1650lbs wet, without driver. Would be good for AWD burnouts

If you want to drive it-drive it-car is 100% stock. Working AC/Heat yadda Yadda. Interior is mint-Body is 7/10-small rust buble starting on one rear wheel well-minor paint fade- dent in fender. if memory serves me right-there is a small crack int he windscreen-lower right out of view. i'd confirm but its in storage. underbody is basically rust free. Engine has slight knock-but it can be driven anywhere. Forumds say its a rocker or a bearing-I say bearing. $300 junk yard motor-and you have a $3500 50+ MPH hippy car.

$800 beans-delivery available (for gas and Coronas) :D

  6. It's gonna be awesome.

There are only a couple cars in this competition that I could see having an issue coming into the turn at that speed. A Duster and an Integra, I think.

I was next to that Duster in mild turn @160-he didn't lift!

I did have to get him later that night due to a blowout. :dumb:

    Should be fun!

  7. I will say-my HF welder was bought in 04. Has built countless exhaust/IC set ups-lots of fab work, and a few roll cages- including the one that saved my life.

Its well worth the money IMO-yes, there is a LOT better stuff out there-but the bang for the buck is untouchable.

  8. Well that is why I bought it in the first place coming from a very modified mustang with terrible brakes and handling.

I think it is amazing in all departments except for the feel. While its handling capability is incredible, it isn't fun to drive in everyday cornering. I do enjoy it immensely in cloverleafs but in normal, non banked, non sweeping turns it isn't confidence inspiring with good feedback in the steering or chassis.

It is really difficult to explain but I definitely drove much more aggressively in our old RSX-S, than I do in the corvette. The RSX had a smaller steering wheel and awesome side bolsters but I don't think that is all there was to it.

My dad has a c6 and it is even worse in this department so I definitely do not want a c6 of any flavor. The brakes in the corvette are nothing short of awesome (they dust a bit excessively but well worth it)- The acceleration is impressive as well- it just isn't as raw and explosive. I miss the mustang's lightning fast revs with its 3" stroke and its sound.

I don't have the time I used to have to autox or road race so it has become a daily driver for me in the spring, summer, fall.

Danny is one hell of a driver- I didn't know he worked on them as well- I haven't seen him since I was a kid though...

Don't take this the wrong way- but if you think a stock RSX is a better handling or feel car than a C5z-then you need to take some driving lessons.

The only thing you GAIN with an RSX is drivers position and FWD so its harder to wad the car, for you I think its driver position-it sits higher- you see more-maybe that's the "confidence" you are looking for? Its the same reason my wife feels better driving an RX 350 instead of a LS 460 AWD. Both are capable-both plow through snow with ease-but she can "see more" and "feels safer" in the RX.

  9. if you want a pro efi plug kit to build your own harness, let me know. I have a spare sitting in storage. New as it came from pro-efi.

I have a ton of 2j/supra parts for sale, but none really look like they are suited for your build. 80mm turbo, hks v160 clutch, 6 speed rear end with kaaz diff, etc.

    Goodluck with the build

    Details on turbo?

  10. This car will never put down the numbers hes been claiming for 2 years now, not unless he fucks with the dyno settings and inflates the numbers like crazy. Also, i dont know if hes still on the same turbos as was picked out before, but the turbos he has wont flow enough air for 2k hp.

I agree it will never be worth a fuck-but didn't it have twin GTx42s? Those boys should flow 1000+ each.

  11. He lost one of his dogs. All joking and hatefullness aside Dave took damn good care of his elderly dog, Well beyond what most people would have done for there animals. I give him props for that as a animal lover.

Your really reaching for D-cock on this one.

He literally has money appearing out of thin air-I think 100% of dog owners with his trust fund income would treat an elderly dog like a king. Many times, the decision to put an old dog down is due to the recommended treatment for their ailment being very expensive, and the results not being guaranteed. I don't care if he threw so much money at a mutt that he cured dog ball cancer, he is still king in only one arena, king of the douchebags.
