  2. Yes, slicks-

     

    This car went 9.6@151 on stock trans/rear as well (although he did break 2 or 3 rear axles in one season). He was very aggressive on his launch-consistent 1.3 60 foots. Car is now auto though. Both are local Cleveland cars.

    Like anything-it can be improved to do well. Since most AWD stuff more or less bolts up, you have a lot of options. As for going 10's-all stock. The GrassRoots car is 100% stock drivetrain wise save a welded center diff (free) and went 9.9@140. In 3 years of racing, it has only broken a Shift fork- and for that I blame the drive!

     

    No they handle terrible, just like you would think.

     

    So do Civics-but that have more class specific FWD records than any other car in most SCCA classes.

    New baby, no time, and LSx cars out the wazzo is forcing me to move some inventory. We put a rear end and AWD GAS tank in this car 3 years ago. It sat in a garage in the former owners house until I rescued the car a few months back. Car has gained more dents since it originally left the stable but is still very clean rust wise.   7. some items just make the car fairly difficult to drive on the street. I wish she was more street friendly, but that is water under the bridge. Mostly stemming to the cams that are in the car. they are a prime example of just being TOO big. Makes the car difficult to start up and difficult to drive under 2500 rpm. I am over it and will just drive it on the street less.

    Tried Kelford 280 in the Colt-Hated them for that specific reason. car started like the tune was off, would sometimes die coming to a stop- made 5 ft lbs of trq below 2k rpm..ect.. Still to this day my favorite street cam for a DSM is a Comp272 (FP2) which is considered mild these days-but was one of 4 off the self cam choices in 2004.
