  1. Yes it did. My bad for contributing to that. Not my original intent. I do love me a GTR though. Shame none were there. I remember the old shootout days back in the early 2000's fondly. Seems like they aren't nearly as much fun from what I hear from people.

    Pavo

This was not directed twards you Pavo. Just tying to put out a fire that is going on behind closed doors right now.

  2. Well this turned into a shit show.

For the record-I don’t have, never have, and hopefully never will have a personal problem with David. He is abrasive, yes, but he is a straight up guy. My input was biased previous conversations with those involved, and observation of the lack of any Switzer involvement in Dave's event. Nothing more. I was told something up front, saw not one Switzer car there, local or otherwise, got the cold shoulder from Dave, and put 2 and 2 together. I can only work with what I see, and I have the right to my opinion. It’s shitty Tym and David still seem to have issues 10 or so years since he left BR.

David I am sure will build many potent GTR's in the future. At this point, it’s a bit of a saturated market tuner wise, so I do wish him the best of luck.

  3. Don't forget that shep ran 8.2

Jamie's build looks to be bad ass, but for the time being there are still a dozen GT-Rs that have already ran the ETs that everyone speculates JC will beat...

It will be interesting to see what the trans puts up with. The car will have the top end-the first 330 (which is the trickiest part of getting those GTRs to work) will make or break it.

  4. Factory hood is just flat. With the factory hood and wheels, the car will essentially look like a V6.

From a buyer's perspective, I would leave the car as is. A lot of the appeal to me is the hood and wheel/tire setup. It will absolutely sell, and there's no reason why it shouldn't bring very close to the asking price (or the full price if the stock wheels are included), it's only been for sale for a few days. I sold my Harley Sunday night and was very interested in this, but had some restraint only due to it being a '98 car, and ended up finding 2 cars (very, very different vehicles) that I'm more interested in right now.

Why is there less appeal in the 98?

And you have me confused-is it an original v8 car?

  5. Ah alright. Kinda sucks cause id love to see the GTRs that hes built out on the track. Do you know if hes built any other GT-R up to the same level he built Jamies? I cant wait to see that thing just eatin up lambos and shit.

It may be a matter of opinion, but the only GTR on the JC level is AMS's Shop car, and I think Jamie made more power. :fuckyeah:

  6. Go Pro Action. First run was a shakedown @25psi-11.8@134 spinfest

    Second pass was 11.0@143 33psi (2.0 60 ft bog)

    10.8 pass-go pro was dead! 1.88 60 ft.

I am tempted to load her back up and try to touch a 9 before the baby comes, but we will see. :axe:

  7. I work for myself by myself at the shop. My ears are always open to custom work, but if I have limited time and have to invest it where I see the most profit and expansion available to me in the future. In considering releasing a small line of fab components in the near future; have to keep true to my mindset and my vision.

    Got it. Texted

  8. I've spent time acquiring tools, sourcing materials, etc. Bear in mind I've only just started transitioning to prouduction work, I've done custom work for a few years prior and that money's paid for a majority of the tooling, etc. I do receive some assistance from my father, but he is my business partner in this venture.

That’s fortunate. I would hate to partner with Family in this business if they expected any kind of return.

Do you have anyone else working for you in the shop? When would you be able/willing to take on fab work again?

  9. Keith, I'm currently prototyping production parts and not taking in any custom work. If that changes in the near future, I'll let you know.

A little off topic-but is there really a good profit margin in this type of work? Buying new machines, purchasing materials, Rent, ect can get expensive in a hurry-let alone modding a built Supra. I know when I was with Shearer-it was a tuff boat to float even when we were moving 30-40 manifolds a month.

How do you swing it? Does prototyping pay that well?

  10. @ guy throwing his headphones

    Thats your boy Tym.

    No

Since Jamie is being nice-I will say that David himself told Jamie he is not welcome-no joke. Said they would not be allowed in the gates!

    Ya'll believe that shit? :dumb:
