  1. Yeah, it probably isn't the kind of press he was after. Then again he's made Jalopnik one time more than I have. I'm starting to think he is deliberately sandbagging on finishing the car. His business is so new and his customer base is very small. After all his claims and promises, if he fails it could be the death of his company. His customers have some confidence in him, if he looses that he'll probably loose the customers he does have. If he can string people along and build some additional confidence from his customer base, then he might be able to survive an embarrassing end to this project. He's definitely made a name for himself with it. He has to play his cards just right to not loose what he has gained.

He's had a name for a long time, its flaming douche bag. The only thing that has changed is the size of the audience.

  2. You're making less downforce, but you're also making less lift. The aero balance should be the same.

It makes sense in theory, but I am not sure this would equate in a real-word scenario as the down force the car produces should be exponential compared to lift. Total down force would be affected negatively-in theory.

  3. Is the other location a high altitude area vs English town (sea level)? Curious as to what is better, low altitude makes more power because of more dense air, but high altitude is easier to cut through. I would guess with a forced induction car at high altitude would be better. Even more so if it had a bottle of NO2 to make up for less oxygen maybe?

That would also cause a lack of downforce...

There is a lot to consider there.

  4. Guinness is usually very strict about this stuff.

Yes, but there is no real evidence of the event, the measurement tools used, the course used...ect. High school kids get more good video than this.

The car NEVER performs elsewhere-so it’s easy to question a car that is in the 220's in Texas miraculously go 283 in another location.

  5. Yeah the money would be nice, I just don't have the right setup to compete in that class. My car is one of the heaviest Hondas made (close to 3k lbs) and I weigh 300lbs, already at a disadvantage lol. It'd be cool to see someone else win SFWD, its usually either Rob or Paul

I think what I may do is bring both turbos- and see who shows up. Its only 2 V bands to swap it out as is. ;)

  6. I run Forced Induction Sport, dont have the bankroll to compete with the likes of Rob Morse and some of the others in SFWD honestly. Not very fun stepping into the ring knowing you're going to lose already haha. His car goes 8.7's, totally different class of cars. FIS is the most competative class though in my oipnion, it has he biggest racer count out of the turbo classes. Hell last year a 10.8 sohc Honda won the class over an evo that has gone 9s in the past.

Bankroll is not my thing, but I like taking down the big guns. :)

I just looked at some of my old IFO wallys and all but one were in SFWD :lolguy: I guess we will just have to see who shows up! The money is hard to resist....

  7. I have some 24.5x8x13 MT et drags I'd consider selling if the price is right. They have probably 15 passes max. Made 5 or 6 passes at 360whp and the rest were only at 272whp. No big excessive burn outs. text or call 614-499-7591 no wheels though.

Right price does not sound like my price.

PM me what you are looking for.

  8. With the 6262 and SMIM, 700 turned up.

With the 6766-Until it windows the block! I will stop the party whenever its getting near 600 ft lbs, so I am hoping for 8 something.... My only concern is the smallish intercooler and small tube exhaust manifold.

  9. Trans refreshed to Zip Tie/Rivera racing specs-Old school Slow boy LSD installed. Trans and axles in-Stock ported IM in, TB modded- Exhaust Manifold/6262 back on. Car should fire again this weekend to be dialed in with the new cams. I set the car up to be a test pig for a current intake manifold test. The Stock TB is ported to 70mm, and a 70mm S90 is ready to go. What the test looks like thus far

Stock IM, stock TB, 2.5 pipe. Then 3inch cold side, then 70mm TB and 3inch pipe

JMF DRAG with stock TB and 2.5, then 70mm, then 70+3inch pipe

    Same with a Venom.

I have been approached to do other manifolds as well, but my time and patience level will be the deciding factor. I have not seen a viable test by a non bias party for current intake manifolds on the market, or the much debated 2.5 vs. 3inch cold side pipe. Car will be set up at 30psi for all test-and if I have the 67mm back I will do the test with a 6766.
