  1. funny that the republicans ran up such a deficit (how much of a surplus did they spend again???) but they point fingers at ideas of Obama's. and decided it was a great idea to give out so many tax breaks. but now it's not??? wow talk about being hypocrites! but now when it's time to pay the piper for their bad ideas and policies...who gets the bad rap???? yeah...blame the new guy. easy way out...the republican way:rolleyes: there is a lot of hypocritial finger pointing going on these days. and why not, now they have a chance to take away the attention from them. all while everyone seems to have forgotten about the messes they left behind. I even heard on NPR yesterday that Bush intentionally left the GM bailout to the next president. couldn't take yet another hit could he??? haha. but this mess is what american's deserve for voting for a party that has never had a balanced budget or a surplus of any kind. maybe people are finally waking up.
  2. I'm just telling a story about a friends bike. as he doesn't look at things very closely. and this is what I found wrong with his bike in about 3 min of looking at it. he was riding it around with no bolt holding the one fork on. you just had the handle bar one gone. which is dangerous, but not as dangerous as the fork being loose.
  3. ehh my buddies 04 R6 was missing the upper tripple clamp pinch bolt (only has one anyway) and the other bolt for the clip on was 1/2 way out. the chain you can pull off the rear sprocket without taking the wheel off. it's worn that bad. you can move the links around it's worn that bad (did erv2 chain) and he was riding around with 25 psi in his tires.
  4. $16,500:rolleyes: does it massage the tools at night too?
  5. brake pads make the biggest most noticable difference in braking power. next would be lines. goodridge has kits for building your own lines too. my brother just swapped out his stock FZ6 master cylinder for one from a R6 and he said it's night and day difference.
  6. well then I stand corrected. but if they did buy out 5/3, I would just switch to a local bank. I just don't want any part of those super big banks. they tend to screw customers with bad deals on loans and high interest rates on credit cards. 5/3 trys to sucker me in to their crappy credit card offers all the time and I just don't want any part of it. they have way too many "clauses" in their agreements that allow them to triple and quadruple the interest rates at their whim. the ONLYreason I went with 5/3 is because back in the day before debit cards they had the most atm machines and the longest hours with locations in kroger. and being open at these locations on sunday too. and now I stay with them because it's a pain in the ass to switch all of this crap around. I have my account numbers and card numbers memorized.
  7. oh it can. it's just not the best there is anymore. they need to step up the game when companies like avon and continental are beating them in tests. Michelin isn't all that. I know you love them but they are not the only tire company that makes phenomenal tires. I just get tired of hearing newbie riders talking up the 2ct like it's the best thing out there when it isn't by a long shot. especially when it cost on average $50-60 a set more than a tire that is better. they need to stfu and remember the saying "the best you've ridden is the best you know".
  8. not even close:rolleyes: hell I seen a test where a continetal sport attack out paced them at a track by almost 2 full secs. the bt-016 out paced both. I've ridden the 2ct and the bt002rs and think the 002rs feels and performs better. it's more a track tire than a street tire for one. I belive they are equivelent to a hard compound race tire from what my memory serves me from a article I read. here's where bridgestone rates the tires,
  9. hummm us bank, a bank that needed bailout money..pass I find it interesting they are giving away the taxpayers money though...nice one! how about paying it back???
  10. if you don't really ride very aggressive, the bt-016 is a very good tire. it's slightly better than a michelin pilot power 2ct. 35motorsports price for the 016 is slightly better (about $4)than the place I have a link to. but they have the 002rs for the same price as the 016.
  11. that's the going price for those. they are just your average street tire. probably a slight edge over the 2ct. but if you really want a good tire that performs like a race tire for a street tire price get the bt-002rs. they are the same price. pm me I can give you a link if ruben doesn't have them.
  12. if you have a truck take it to a shop. most of them will do it for $10 or so.
  13. how are you going to fit large fairings in a oven? some fairings are rather gigantic. take a gsxr set of race fairings. you would need a walk in oven. seems impractical when I can paint a set in an hour and they are ready to be mounted in 2-3 hours. how would the body fillers hold up in those high temps for one. probably going to ruin more sets than anything. but I'm still rooting for you. sounds very interesting.
  14. DO NOT buy a harbor freight air compressor. for one it's a cheap assed china junker and it isn't priced much cheaper than a name brand compressor. ingersoll rand makes most of the name brand compressors on the market. such as craftsman etc from what I was told. stick with a name brand compressor if you want it for a long time. I bought a cheap harbor freight one for using on the job for my nail guns etc, trust me it's not a heavy duty, well made, good parts compressor. so far I've had to fix a bunch of parts on it. the regulator knob broke off, the drain cock broke off, the fan shroud broke off, the air filter broke off. the fan itself has a missing blade, it's just a total POS. when buying a compressor you need to look at it's SCFM ratings. not what pressure it goes to. they all go to 130 or so psi and shut off. it's how much air it can supply while it's running. the best compressors are the oil filled kind. the oiless kind just don't have much scfm to them. usually around 5-6 scfm whereas a oil filled kind is around 11-15 scfm you will need at least a 20-30 gallon tank to effectively run a impact, paint gun, especially a grinder or cut off tool.
  15. race stuff is so much easier to get on and off. I can have the whole set off in about 3 min. you asked for it, I might be bugging you to make me something.. trackdays are on the far back burners for me this year. as sad as it makes me to say it. with me only working 32/hr a week things are just too tight to spend too much money. unless people want some paint jobs...hint hint..
  16. the bbb is actually a terrible business. the company I work for has an A- with only 1 (resolved) complaint and 0 unresolved complaints. another company in cincy that does the same work has an A+ with 4 unresolved complaints. now tell me how this works again??? the BBB is fucking stupid.
  17. now with some sun and a better camera..I love Blue.
  18. after having a plain all blue R6 since 04 when I first had to paint it from a crash, I decided this time(but of course after I just painted it again) to switch up and try to make it look like the factory decals. only these are painted on. went from this boring plain blue, to this, I'm totally digging it again. took forever to mask off and get both sides as symmetrical as possible. because you can see both sides from the front. I still need to sand down the edges of the clear and buff away the scuffing of the prepped areas and it will be good to go. I think it looks a lot better. not sure if I should do anything else with the lower. any suggestions?
  19. what time were you there? I got there I guess around 7- 7:30 maybe and it was packed. still kind of gay though. LOL food is way too expensive...for the quality of it...blaaa. best wings my ass. if you want good wings go to allyn's cafe on colombia parkway
  20. I'll be on my R6. I've been wanting to check out the food. I'm not much for bike nights though.
  21. well it's more of a hobby for me. it is a lot of work but I think of it as more practice.
