  1. yeah he could hook you up with those awesome stinko shinko tires he has a pile of:nono: tell that dude $12.99 for a quart of oil is ridiculous
  2. two brothers exhaust were always cheap to me. I dunno. they just seem cheap like a D&D. their carbon fiber doesn't look like real carbon fiber. they have to use this ugly ass pattern crap they like on it instead. to me it looks cheap and generic. then coupled with a "chrome" pipe screams cheap and generic. and don't forget, when you crash with a carbon fiber pipe, it bust into pieces or cracks and can't be fixed.
  3. I don't know how so many of you have so many of these. I only have the normal wobble from cresting a hill or a small on the power wheelie coming back down. I don't have a damper. maybe you guys are doing something wrong? I just can't imagine what you might be doing to cause them so much besides pulling or putting all of your weight on the bars too much.
  4. first of all, it will usually stop before you think about what to do or realize it's happening. a motorcycle as long as it's moving will correct itself. why? because the wheels act as a gyroscope. the faster they spin the more stable the bike becomes. if it goes into a full side to side shake, more than likely no matter what you do, you are probably going to get bucked off. but the bike will keep going. unless of course you fall over with the bike by holding on to it. as long as you have the room and don't fall off, it will stop. there was a show about modern sportbikes called "speed on two wheels" on discovery (science) channel a few years ago and they demonstrated this by intentionally setting off a pretty violent one.
  5. ah hell. I figured it's so far away everyone would ride it once or twice. at least it will give 22 etc a break from us hooligans is that a band called love machine? or is that the song name?
  6. it was recently paved about 2 years ago. it doesn't stop. we just stop at the gas station in stamping ground. it's not worth going past staming ground. after stamping ground it's pretty straight into georgetown. it actually straightens out before stamping ground but we go into town to the citgo station. (I'm not sure if it's closed or open now) we haven't been down there since last summer. and only once. we double back and about 3/4 of the way back we take 607 over to left on 25 which takes you back up on the other side of the williamstown shell station. just be careful. there's nothing around down there. if you crash...you might be out the rest of the day/night trying to get home.
  7. what you want to do is when you get to the shell in williamstown, go straight on 36 over I-75 until that road ends into 22 again. turn left on 22 to left onto 227. then ride for what seems like an hour. by the end of it you are sick of taking corners LOL
  8. we usually make a day trip out of it LOL. we skip 165 etc.
  9. what part of cincy do you live? I live in the bridgetown area. I mount and balance my own tires.
  10. you guys should check out 227 at the end of 22. it takes you into stamping ground almost to georgetown. it's not for beginers though. I like it but a few other guys I ride with don't because it's full of blind fast tight corners. and its so long. it makes all the other roads around seem short and straight. it's guaranteed to make even the fast riders slow down. ride it at your own risk LOL
  11. scotts doesn't hire smokers right? not that I care, because I don't smoke but for anyone that does. they wont hire you.
  12. dude from a few other forums. never met him but he was racing wera and blowing everyone away. until he had a nasty crash last summer. this pic was taken at Deals Gap.
  13. crank position sensors will do that too but not always set off a trouble code..personal experience on a gmc sonoma aka, s/10.
  14. wouldn't a "heavier load" be considered a "faster speed" ? I don't use heavy oil in a water cooled bike that is on the street the most. the reason is the thicker it is the longer it takes to start flowing at startup. air cooled engines have always (from what I've seen) call for 20w oils. my guess is because they get a lot of hot spots in the motor that a thinner oil might burn off from. and it's said almost 90% of engine wear comes from startup.
  15. nope. but you will need to read your owners manual for your bike. like I said, Yamaha's is a oil level light only.
  16. street 10w40 is plenty. track it's still enough but 20w might be better instead. there is a cross reference chart floating around the internet for motocycle filters. it shows you what bikes use the same filters and what filters fit your bike etc. from that I started using a Purolator PureONE filter that fits a mazda miata. or you could take yours to the store and find one that is a close match and try it. I chose a pure one filter because they are supposed to be the best oil filter on the market. (top ranked in ASE testing) and have a 99.9% efficiency rating @ 20 microns. (that's smaller than a red blood cell!)
  17. what is the code for the ses? I might be able to help you find the problem. there isn't much to the emissions to these trucks. if it's anything to do with a "evap" leak replace the gas cap first. this is a well known problem with the s/10.
  18. still my favorite interiors of all the s/10's. I have a 02. if I didn't have mine and it wasn't yellow....
  19. I'd like to remind everyone, you cannot go using someone elses setup and think that is going to work for you. this is why so many guys have it way off. if you don't know what you are adjusting and what it affects, let someone that does do it for you. without the right understanding you aren't going to get it right. if you want a good visual of the suspension setup watch this video http://www.onthethrottle.com/content/view/73/40/
  20. my R6 owners manual says it's normal if it comes on during hard acceleration or up hills. it never does for me though. I keep it up to the top of the marks on the dipstick.
  21. ^ I don't know about that statement. my moms camaro z28 has 244k miles on it and has always had valvoline oil and a fram filter on it. I also heard the ninja's are really goofy with the oil pressure not building up because of air trapped in it's filter or some crap like that. that's a odd problem to have.
  22. as impressive as that is, it still isn't as impressive as a pickup truck with a V6 running a 9.03 he has a website. www.dochoover.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiJ5wRu7JUU
  23. I didn't see ayone say it already but I'm pretty sure the oil light is for the level not pressure. I know for a fact yamaha's are level only.
  24. I fixed it for him. his tripple clamp was actually stripped out. I had to go to the next sized up bolt and tap the hole. thank god we have a great hardware store around here.
  25. edited, you live too far away. but if you did live around cincinnati we have a guy that does all of our patios/concrete work for Patio Enclosures and also Champion patio rooms. his name is Mike Rebholtz. and does some of the best concrete work I've ever seen. we are talking about pouring slabs somtimes 30X30 perfectly level all the way through.
