  1. body position helps a lot for cornering. i think i only scraped the floor boards 2 times through the dragon. and i was keeping a pretty good pace. enough so that i had quite a few bikes (Harleys, Sport touring bikes, adventure bikes) moving out of the way for me they are not sport bikes by any means, but if you get used to how they react, then they corner pretty well. get your braking done before the corner, set the bike in and maintain the throttle to exit, and the bike is super stable. any upset in the chassis and it will wallow in the corner. thats just how these big pigs ride. but this is all advice for moderate pace riding =-) you definitely don't feel the weight while your riding, even slow speeds its not terrible for a 900lb bike. but moving it around the garage or backing it up kinda sucks. but they have a low seat height so that helps. if you don't go into it hating Harleys you might actually enjoy the bike lol
  2. my buddy took his 60" RZR down there last weekend, and had no issues, so ill be taking the maverick down there when i get a chance. i think we are gonna hit up Thrashing Hills in Xenia sunday though
  3. i damn near did that last thursday
  4. i was searching for a seat for my street glide, and i have a very particular butt, i have never really found a seat that i was completely satisfied with and always ended up having hot spots and some soreness at the end of a 300 mile day. after some searching and taking a chance, since there isn't many reviews on these seats, called Riders Discount and ordered a Danny Gray BigIST solo seat right before my trip to deals gap a few weeks ago. threw the seat on and off i went, 449 miles of highway down and holy shit, no soreness, no hot spots, i was in heaven. only complaint was seating position initially, it sat me just a bit higher than my stock street glide seat, but after 1200 miles the seat broke in and it sunk down a bit, not enough to be same height of my stock seat, but i was happy enough. unfortunately i thought i could by a passenger section for it, and it turns out i could not. So i had to call Riders Discount again and ordered the 2 up version of the seat the Danny Gray TourIST. this was a few days before my wife and I went on our week long trip. outcome was exactly the same, no sore ass, no hot spots, nothing and she reported the same. She was pretty amazed at how great she felt after a long day of riding. intact we did a 665 mile day on our return from Ocean Isle Beach NC and again same thing, we felt great! now the IST is Independent Suspension Technology, which is just a fancy way for them saying the cut out holes in the seat pan where your ass bones land. Thus creating a void so you can fully bottom out on the seat. and there is enough open area beneath the seat pan where this works out really well. the foam they use is stiff, but not Corbin stuff. its what i would say is an in-between of a mustang seat and a Corbin. all in all, this was a great purchase, and i was really surprised how good the seat is. so now i have a solo and a 2 up that both look great, and function really really well. they are actually not priced to bad either, if you get the vinyl version, which is what i did.
  5. i loved Colorado when i me and my wife took a motorcycle trip out there. she wanted to move out there, but i just can't justify the move
  6. you want as much travel of the fork possible without them bottoming out. i can't remember off hand if the 675 will bottom out 1" from the bottom of the fork leg or not. but like i said you want to be able to use all of the available suspension travel without bottoming or topping the fork out. correct rebound and compression setting also go along with getting the sag set. a good suspension tech should be able to get you pretty close, but also inform you if the spring rate is to much or to little for you. to little or to much spring rate will also reflect on how the damping works in the fork. if the spring rate is to little tor to much the damping will not be able to compensate for the ill effects of the spring rate and will not be able to speed up or slow down the rate at which the fork compresses or rebounds from the effects of road surfaces, braking, or accelerating.
  7. I'm on and off of smoking, and try to switch to vapeing for good, its been hard. i have a few setups. Hana Modz 30W that i usually run an Spire nautilus tank on Seigeli 100W which i run a LEMO sub tank, or Arctic Sub tank, both .5 ohms and a Fuhattan carbon and copper mechanical mod with a dark horse atomizer with a .2 ohm build.
  8. that sucks, very sorry to hear, do as everyone else is saying here and lawyer up. your bike is unrepairable, it will be salvaged as it has major frame damage (the frame slider ripped that part of the frame apart) if the frame on a bike is damaged in anyway it is considered a total loss by issuance companies , so start thinking about the next bike you want.
  9. intake, exhaust on mine and it would do 70 if i was in full tuck.. and it was sketchy. the springs are super soft.. i mean you can bottom the fork out easily just holding the brake and pushing the front end down.. same with rear shock. that stuff being said, it was fun on the cart track, and i hooned it around my yard a lot. in the end, it wasn't as much fun on the cart track as a xr100.. mostly because it cost a lot more and i didn't want to fuck it up. so my intended purpose for it didn't work out the way i wanted, and i just really had no use for it. but if you have a ruckus and use it a lot, then the Grom would be a a nice upgrade. and it would be freaking amazing at deals gap.
  10. when are you guys gonna become a Harley dealer? that would pretty much seal the deal that you guys would be the largest powersports dealer in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. thanks, was good talking with you as well
  14. ihad one pair of alpinestars gloves, GP1 i believe, gauntlet style. they wore out really quick. and i haven't bought another pair of alpinestars gloves since. i have 3 pair of Racer gloves.. for track days the Racer R-Safe, i have crashed 2 times on the big track, several times riding the XR100, and a few when i had my super moto. they are still useable, and i still do use them. Racer Dynamic Gortex 2 gloves for cold weather, these don't get a ton of use, but they show absolutely no wear and my daily gloves are the Racer Short Sport, which they don't make anymore.. they are the most comfortable short cuff gloves i have ever warn, and they are wearing great. no busted seams, or stitching, no tears or wearing through. i wish i could find another pair. all these gloves are over 3 years old, the short sports have seen a ton of miles, and the R-Safe have seen a ton of crashes. i cannot say enough about the company, and the quality of gloves. they aren't cheap, but they will be a pair of gloves you will own for many many years. it should say something that i still own these gloves after 3 years.... seeing as i usually sell off stuff every year and buy new lol.
  15. i would totally build one, but i just don't have enough time. ill probably scour craigslist for a deal if nothing comes up in the near future.

Ordered a Vance and Hines Fuel Pack 3, Kuryakyn Curved license plate frame, and Bassani Road Rage 2 full exhaust. as always really great buying experience, great pricing, and fast shipping. hope my exhaust makes it in time for my trip over the weekend.
