i concur with BAD324 IssacsPapa - Pauly CrazySkullCrusher - Same Hoblick - thats me, i dont do carbs though. i pretty much am down to tires, suspension work & Tuning, and powder coating. My work load has picked up a lot at my day job as well as my side work, and have been doing a lot of powder coating, so i try to stick to just those key things because i am best at those and can get the work done quickly. but on my slow/off season i will open up my work to other things. and heard good things about Whaler as well

CNC Billet Preload Front Fork Spring Adjuster Adjuster Kit?
Hoblick replied to Wojo72's topic in Tech and Tips
the FZ07 doenst have preload adjustable forks. preload adjuster would be a nice upgrade, but if the springs are still to soft for your weight, then it won't matter much anyhow, as well they are damper rod forks which don't offer much in the way of damping, and the lack of adjustability that a cartridge fork offers is a big downer. at minimum do new fork springs for your weight, and thicker oil to slow the damping. but if you want a better outcome id do fork emulators and springs. and best bet would be a set of cartridges, then you'll have better damping, correct spring rate, and full adjustability of the forks. on a budget, correct springs, and heavier oil would suffice, and be a improvement over stock for sure, but your just not gonna be able to get the right damping out of those damper rod forks. i would recommend correct springs and emulators for the best bang for the buck. unless you can do it yourself, factor in labor cost as well. I'm probably the cheapest around for suspension modifications, if you have any questions or are wanting a price quote let me know -
or if i can't find any of those in stock any where ill end up with a set of Braking SK2 rotors
-
ill probably end up with these BrakeTech Axis full floating in SS id like the iron ductile, but for the street id rather have SS since the Iron rust really fast.
-
They are not warped, it's material build up it's a common issue. Even if rotors are cleaned it will do it again in 200 miles. Even with different pads.

Over the winter I'm upgrading the brakes on the multistrada. It has some brake shudder that's annoying, and reading online the culprit is the rotors. But since it will be winter I'll be swapping out the stock brembo p4 calipers for either brembo m4 or m50 monobloc calipers. Rotors are the question. I'll most likely to with ebc full floating rotors, but unsure which to get. The vee rotors or the pro lite contour. Seems the vee rotors are more show and the pro lite will perform better having more rotor surface. What say you all? I'm not opposed to other brands galfer, braking, brake tech, etc. But I'm not spending $1000 on rotors

sales tax works as follows. you pay the sales tax for the county where you buy it. so if bought lets say in PA and the sales tax is 5% there. and the sales tax in your county in ohio is 7.5% (this is considering you finance) you would pay the 5% during the deal in PA, then the other 2.5% when you do the title stuff back in ohio. otherwise, if you buy the bike outright, and bring the title back to ohio, you would pay the entire 7.5% at the title office in ohio, since you would not be doing any title work in PA

also note that demo bikes being sold are sold as new. warranty starts when you buy it. i bought my 11 multistrada that was a corporate demo. i had no issues with it, it was dealer service, and warranty started at my time of purchase. it was a great bike.

sell, buy, sell, buy, sell buy... keep repeating i don't get attached to bikes that much. maybe I'm a little weird, but i don't have a lot of regrets selling any bikes I've owned. and i have owned a lot of bikes. i think I've owned at least 2 different bikes every year. only owned the same model of bike 2 times. and those are whats currently in my stable. i think i might be finally settling down now though. i say do whatever feels best for you. its always fun to try new bikes, and if you don't like it, move on to the next.

interested in the dainese jacket. shoot me a pm
-
i understand the no test ride policy, but it just doesn't make sense. why would i buy something before i test rode it?
-
True. It was fun, but I don't think I'll buy another
-
i checked sizing, they should fit me. how much shipped to 43040
-
interested in the Held Gloves. what do they compare to in say an alpinestars or something. I'm not familiar with helds sizing
-
it might mean i found something i really like lol. street glide and multistrada are the only 2 bikes I've bought twice
-
this is very true, but its really fun lol I've owned a ton of bikes, and it has been an awesome experience thus far being able to ride a wide variety of machines
-
this. For me, the Street glide is the best 2 up bike for me and my wife to do our long trips, relax be comfortable, listen to tunes and just enjoy being together and sharing an experience. the multistrada on the other hand, is a bike i can tour on, and still have face ripping power. it handles like a sport bike and i can do a track day on it, but is still comfortable enough to put in 500 + mile days on. is it a good 2 up bike? sure, but the wife would rather be on the back of the harley than the ducati. the Multistrada will be getting an exhaust and some sort of luggage over the winter, and maybe a different seat. I think i pretty much have the Street glide set up exactly where it needs to be, so I'm done modding it.

Good for him

No d air on this one. That's the new ones. This is a 2010 abs model. Exactly like the one I used to own, just in red
