you going on the 20th for the Funday? I may be trying to get back up there. Just went to the 6/22 Funday as well, great time.

well...it sure as hell won't take half the power you have to run me down the straights. Last funday, I actually had trouble pulling on a Jetta 1.8T with a K04 turbo upgrade....that hurts the ego a bit. At least I could cary about 10mph more in the turns. Make sure you tune it on the safe side. Unfortunately as I was hounding a really nice silver evo I watched it pop right in front of me. Erik, thanks for the compliments. I'm still really iffy on selling it, but it's hard to split my money/time/attention between trying to take both the 636 and the M3 to the track. It makes sense to me for the time being to sell the bike and spend some time and money learning to drive better.

in westerville...kinda hurts to think of her getting turned into a stuntbike...literally just cringed as I looked at the screen, but I suppose it's your money.

when I was looking for a pipe, I wanted a high mount that kept the passenger pegs, which limited the choices to Mig, M4, and Devil The Devil might actually be a good choice if you're still looking. But I liked the Mig the best because it follows the angle/lines of the tail perfectly. M4 is just loud as hell, but makes good power.

Nice cougar shot!

ideally it'd be much smarter to start on something like an EX500, but most people don't want to do that because they're slow, and have out-dated styling. SV650 would be a GREAT first bike that can take you very far riding ability wise as well. but, alas, most people get their egos into it and will get a 600 4-cyllinder or bigger, in that case...just by mine in the corral

Thanks for the compliments Grant. Did you ever end up getting a bike? I know you were somewhat looking before. How's the Evo running? I'll let you know next time Andy and I go up to Nelson for a Funday if you'd like to go.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to pass. I'm either going to sell the bike as it is (with the only exception being the shock), or keeping it and enjoying it. Unfortunately MIG went out of business a couple of years ago, which is a shame because I absolutely love the pipe. They reappeared again under a different name, but I don't know if that brand is still around or not either.

I used to ride old 315 a lot, but don't really anymore. Unfortunately the grossly increased trafic volume, blind corners, and blind driveways make for a horrible combo. Plus, after having a good friend beef it through there behind me, and having a customer die on that road, it really pains me to watch other bikers fly through there while I wait for a car to pull out in front of them. Ultimately, it's a nice scenic drive, but as far as going fast though it, there are not nearly enough good corners (as is the case with just about every road around c-bus)

you want to do a track day this summer? I've tentatively put the bike up for sale since everyone I used to ride with has sold their bikes, and I have noone to go to track days with. I've also been having a ton of fun taking the M3 to track days, and could use the money to pay off debt, so we'll see. It's still a hard decision to make.

it's good to see Suzuki breathing some life into a model that definately needed it. I'm sure the bike will be awesome and once again wear the top end crown. Unfortunately I've never liked the styling, and they haven't really helped things in that area. I think that if that bike was really a 600 and not the fasted bike you can buy, everyone would agree that it's ugly and it wouldn't sell.
-
no, I should have used it to learn to ride wheelies, but alas...I suck at those so I just stay away. It was actually only ridden on dirt a couple of times, mostly it was used for parking lot racing.

I'm considering selling the bike, if I can get the right money for it. yeah, it'd be a shame to kill the diff in that 4 bolt. If you're going to use the car in the winter at all, I have a set of 16" steelies with good snow tires on them that I'll sell you.
-
if it's an AWD you'll want to find 4 wheels and tires that are exactly the same.
-
yeah....if I could roll back the clock and go to Classic, I'd be there in a second.
-
you might want to edit your ad, it has both of your price ranges in there and is a bit confusing. I may have my 636 for sale. PM me if you would like some more details. I'll have it cleaned up later this week.

I've always liked Fastraxx. They were the first school I ever did. Pops is right about Nelson. I absolutely love that track, but I don't think I'm going to go riding a bike on it. On the other hand, it would be great training for riding on the street as you have to dodge the patches in the road...haha. I think I'll stick to cars up there.

+100,000 I've always broken in my bikes in this manner and have always had strong bikes for what they were. MOST IMPORTANT is changing the oil, and using a dino oil during the break in period. on my 636 I let it warm up to temp at the dealer, then turned if off and let it cool down, then rode it up to temp, did a few 3rd gear pulls progressively to redline, then changed the oil and filter. Rode at varying RPMs and throttle inputs and did a good amount of engine braking all the way to 500 miles, then changed oil and filter again, this time went to semi-synthetic (HP4) and never looked back.

don't disable it. They move because the door doesn't have a frame, and the window makes the seal. If you disable it you won't be able to shut the door all the way. I don't think it'd cause a big problem as it's only moving about 1/4", but if he can avoid driving for a few days then it'd probably be best.
