that's definately what insurance is for, but it's still going to be a MAJOR pain for that guy. For a car like that where market value exceeds book value, he's going to have to constantly fight with his insurance company to get fair money for the car. If he's smart he'll buy it back and part it out.

YES! Buttermilk biscuits!!! I used to ROCK the original sir mix-a-lot tape - Swass...best known for this beauty of a tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md4E9ZNnyRg it's also funny that they'd put it to the video of the pussycat dolls, as their main hit "don't cha" is a complete remake of mix-a-lot's "Swass

I may be mistaken here...but I believe he got that whole shit on tape yo. sucks to see an FD get beat up like that. Definitely did a good amount of damage at that speed.

good choice on the no a-pillar gauges...it's a bit old now, and if you ever take the car to the track (read: right and left), then it's quite a pain in the ass looking around them.
-
and Triple cause I can!!! http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=239260 another good little tidbit of info
-
here's a crude DIY for an A-pillar install as well, I'm sure you woudl want to use the same firewall location for a dash mount as well. http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/gauge_install.htm Did I mention that you picked possibly the worst damn day to work on your car...it's HOT out there man!
-
where are you installing the gauges? I always really liked this setup http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/spa_gauges/index.html

that was pretty funny though.

THE only reason I have HBO is Entourage, cause it sure as hell isn't for the crap ass movies they play about 2 years too late. I've watched since about halfway through season 1. oh and....Drama MAKES that show. I was crying for a good ten minutes straight after the end of the episode where Turtle was supposed to meet up with the girl from craigslist (don't want to spoil it for anyone). VICTORY!!

this thread is on the verge of going so many different ways it's awesome, so let me start off with the first hijack...Eric, what Kart are you building? Going to Circleville? Back to the point at hand: I can understand that people would be upset if Denny Dotson were to take in a car with a known (and serious) problem, and then cover it up and sell it to an unsuspecting customer. I have yet to hear of this happening from them from a reputable (read: myself or someone VERY close to me) source. However, we all know how things go with modified cars, and if the car was not checked out prior by the seller then some of the blame lies with them as well. The same thing would happen if you purchased the vehicle from a private party. I have never purchased a vehicle from them, so I do not know if they use their dealership as a selling point. (i.e. "we know these cars and have checked this one out"), but I'll let some rebuttals go into that point. As for the profit issue, profit is only a bad word if you're on the wrong side of the transaction. I personally have no problem with any business making a profit off of me as long as I feel they earned it. Your friend did not have the market availability to sell his car quickly and needed money. Denny is an established dealer of modified cars so people look to him for these types of cars...hence he has a better market (and more time) to get more money from the car...NOTHING is wrong with that.

glad someone could give you more specific advise Rick, I'd definately listen to him

I had seen this as well. I'm curious as to what will actually happen with this idea. It has all the great potential that SpeedChannel did before being bought by Fox (AKA the NASCAR machine). I'm going to sit on the side and watch for a bit to see what happens. I'm worried that they'll have great content and it'll be an awesome channel and then they'll realize that they're not making any money, and sell it to someone who puts more profitable (NASCAR) programming on it.
-
Depends on how creative you get...haha. You'll definately have to take off the finisher from the left side of the machine. Take some hand tools, I'm pretty sure it's just screws that hold it on though. Hopefully it'll fit laying on its back without the finisher on. I've never tried to pick one up, but I'm guessing it's probably a couple hundred pounds, and that 2 people should be able to lift it into a truck, but wouldn't want to be carrying it around much. Sorry I don't have a more exact answer for you. Edit: Make sure you take out the toner before putting it into your suburban and put it in a plastic bag. Also take a one of those air-spray-bottles to spray out any loose toner as well. Once that stuff gets on anything it's VERY hard to get out, and if it gets on your clothes forget about them...they're now for working on your car.

Yeah, it'll work well for you. If you're looking into Maintenance contracts, MT, ComDoc, or Ikon can service it for you.
-
what you likely saw was the more "common" CL63 AMG http://www.mbusa.com/models/main.do?modelCode=CL63 I've seen one driving around Westerville lately. Not as limited as the CL65 AMG, but not exactly what I'd consider "everyday" at $135K

the song you're thinking of is "read my mind" off of their latest album Sam's Town I'd recommend purchasing the album. I really enjoy the whole thing, but find it a bit short sometimes.

HAHA. I used to sell Ricoh copiers. The 1035 is a tank, and does everything you could want it to. Is it just you in your practice? Do you know what kind of volume you do? I've seen that model support a 3-lawyer office pretty easily and it doubled as their printer. Try to find out if they've done any maintenance recently as parts can get expensive. You could always buy it, and call up a local vendor and ask them about a maintenance contract as well.

I realize that the thread is finished and to be locked, but in case anyone wants to search this in the future, I'll put some info out there Bike manufacturers no longer make keys from the VIN, because people started taking VINs off of other peoples bikes and getting keys made, then stealing them. I'm pretty sure this applies to the car world as well, but I'm not certain. There are not any motorcycle dealers in this town that I know of that cut keys. It's not a normal practice for dealers. The common path is that they will order you a factory blank key, then you take it somewhere to have it cut. I always go to Carl Zipf lock on 5th ave. He is the best that I've ever used, and may have a blank close enough to work, if you're not able to order a factory one. If you don't have a key to match, you'll have to take your ignition off and take it to him to cut a key to match. Hope that helps.

probably going up Sunday....definately skip the dealer "ride" (i.e. crawl") around the track.

+1 I agree with your RWD>AWD>FWD statement, but for different reasons.

yep, that was me, just heading home. edit: nice use of a very specific time
