  1. He'll be back on Sept 10th, sorry if you need something before then.
  2. He's currently on vacation in Puerto Rico, but I'll let him know to hit you up when he gets back.
  3. 1. Jegs (I've only been to 11th ave so I can't speak for other stores) 2. Autozone, it's in a yellow bottle. It's the same as the GM stuff, but if you want, you can go to any GM dealer and pay more 3. ?? not sure, check Jegs when you go there.
  4. yes you have recourse. Do you want to keep the bike?
  5. you're welcome. I'm selling my bike too, but it clearly didn't meet your criteria, so instead of trying to shove it down your buddy's throat, I merely gave my suggestions. It's not like it's that hard.
  6. it's not very likely to see a real Can-Am car at SCCA vintage races, especially ones in the midwest, but I wouldn't completely rule it out. Plus, there's just some really cool stuff up there. Last I checked, there was still a guy who drives one of the original Penske camaros in the series...$$$$ I definately wish I would have been around to watch these cars race too, especially since they had a regular date a Mid-Ohio, which is where my dad watched them. I just get to read about them in books.
  7. yep, and those cars really revolutionized race car aero. Completely changed peoples thinking about how to make cars stick.
  8. the LeMans battles were very cool, but for me Can-Am was the coolest series ever. You had monster cars running insane power (about 1100-1200 for the 917-30) and huge tires. Most importantly, the rules were wide enough that very few people had similar cars, which made the series so interesting. I really like how everybody took different paths to performance and seeing how it turned out.
  9. "When you can come out of a corner and lay black streaks until you need to brake for the next corner, then you have enough power" - Mark Donohue Great find!! The 917-30 was INSANE, and likely the only car that Donohue drove that met his criteria for enough power I highly recommend picking up and reading "The Unfair Advantage" if you have not already!
  10. sorry had to jump in with a couple of my favorites warning..the sound is a bit loud on the first one http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GZDJKTgjJy8&mode=related&search= http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zL-xDT9ujUI
  11. you'll have to have someone else upload the pictures again, since your site is blocked from most firewalls. Did the FC bellhousing bolt right up to the 4G63 block? That's awesome news if so. I saw you're using the DSM clutch, what flywheel are you using with it? I always thought it'd be cool to build a lotus 7 replica with a DSM motor but didn't think any RWD transmissions would work (other than the guy who supposedly swapped the guts of a 1g transmission into a mighty max bellhousing)
  12. as an e36 M3 owner I will kindly look the other way and pretend you don't exist when we're going anywhere in a straight line so I don't get owned. Nice ride, you can definately have a ton of fun with those. On the road course they'll go through consumables faster due to their weight, but they're still very capable cars (just costs a bit more for upkeep). If you want to go up to Nelson this fall to get a baseline, let me know.
  13. it's a C-class, but not an AMG. He got that right when it first came out and did that body kit/wheels to it. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the front (cho cho train anyone?) I've seen the car up close and it's very well done.
  14. long over-due bump. Sorry, been busy
  15. Definitely sucks. Sam Shamansky is your friend my man.
  16. Don Johnson doesn't have anything on the ultimate celebrity song
  17. if we're going to get into gangsta rap a bit, lets not forget the most influential rap album of our time (warning - uncencored - the only good way) while we're getting into the early 90s rap, lets get some of the good stuff out there - don't know what the video is, but the song is correct - Apache Gangsta Bitch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKaxCLt6LJE while not quite the same period...great song
  18. love bob seger. Don't forget this beauty either http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4SxQ5BSJPc&mode=related&search= against the wind is a great song too, but I absolutely HATE old time rock and roll. Don't know why, but I think it's the biggest piece of shit and hate that whenever someone brings up Seger it gets mentioned. If it hadn't been on Risky Business, then it'd never have been famous. Aldo Nova was hilarious
  19. well...it seems he's narrowed it down to a few very good bikes. If he's gonna look at the SV, I'd still think that the 650 will do just about everything that the 1000 will do for less money. Plus, it's lighter and will make a better track bike. If he wants more straight line speed...get the triple. That Daytona engine is badass, and sounds great with a pipe on it. They didn't de-tune it for the triple either!
  20. the Street Triple is the best bang for the buck that you've listed. I'd also tell him to consider a fuel injected SV650. They'll make 80hp pretty easily and would make a great bike to go to the track with if he gets the turn bug
  21. yep, even Megaman's option didn't work...and it comes up as pornography...what do you have on your page JP? anyone want to post up the pics?
  22. I may have booked somewhat late (first week in July), but it certainly wasn't last minute or anything. I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find a better deal without the departure/arrival times being completely screwed up. Perhaps it was just the time that I went out as well, but I figured August wouldn't be a big tourist time in Vegas, since it's going to be HOT!
  23. I wish you the best, but flight prices to Vegas have been pretty high lately. I'm going out next week, and my round trip flight was $350 with one stop each way in Salt Lake. Southwest was not the cheapest in any respect (about $190 each way). I'm flying Delta. Hotels haven't changed much though. I'd just keep an eye out for what you think is a decent deal and jump on it when you can. Chances are that any of the major websites will get you as good of a deal as a travel agent would. http://www.kayak.com -best kept secret in web-booking.
