  1. you've got me a bit corn-fused. Are they just running DEs this weekend or are they running NASA races too? Are you actually racing in American Iron or are you currently just using the car for DEs?
  2. http://www.cyclecat.com/carbonfiber01-01.htm they list the same application for the 2006, which should be the same for 07 if I'm correct. It just looks like they haven't updated their website for any 07 bikes. If you want, we can meet up and make sure they'd fit first, it will be evident pretty quickly.

    Rx 7 Meet! 7/7/07

he went up again and made a bigger fire the next time!!....was pretty badass sounding though.
  4. I wish them the best, but I'm not really holding my breath. It was quite unfortunate to see the previous Indian revival finally produce a good bike, and right as they were poised to finally make it over the hump....all of the big money pulled out and sold the company off

    Rx 7 Meet! 7/7/07

I'll likely stroll up there sometime. Is there any sort of schedule?
  6. You are correct. Values have been back on the upswing over the past couple of years. The problem is not the availibility of RX7s for sale, it's finding a nice one that's hard. There are plenty of rats out there that you can buy for 8-10K these days, but it'll drive you to suicide actually trying to get it to be a decent car. Expect to pay high teens to low 20s for a nice example that won't need immediate work.
  7. I've accepted my fate....my next car will be a FD, and ownership will not ever measure up to sitting here dreaming of one.
  8. that depends on how you plan to tap your boost source, and how far away it is from the gauge. The gauge still has about 5 feet of plastic pressure line attached to it, but if that won't reach far enough, you'll need to buy some more. It does not include any fittings to tap into your boost source, but a new one won't either.
  9. if you're 25 or older with State Farm and have a clean record, your bike will be dirty-dirthole cheap. Especially if you're married and have other lines with them. Currently I pay $18/month for full coverage on the 636. Quite the change from when I bought it at 21.
  10. Thanks for the heads up, I may give that a try in a couple weeks. I figured I'd try locally since I'm lazy. I know that on Kawiforums they go for a little bit more, but since I don't have to ship I'd charge a little less.

  12. holy back from the dead Batman...still have this, pass the word on fellow DSMers
  13. originally bought this to change the background color on mine and use this while that was being done. Never got around to it. It's in perfect working order. Unfortunately I had the exactly mileage written down somewhere, but I can't find it. I know it's definitely under 3K miles. $150
  14. Cycle Cat heel guards for an 04-05 ZX10R. $60
  15. Happy 4th to everyone!! Wanted to post up answers to a couple questions I've gotten on the bike. The bike has NEVER been laid down. It's got a couple little flaws from stuff coming up from the road and what not, but you wouldn't notice them if I didn't point them out. All work outside of oil changes was performed by the best tech at the dealership where I worked, where I personally paid him with beer. The bike was broken in on dino oil, then always run on semi-synthetic Honda HP4 oil, which was changed every 1800-2600 miles. Please let me know if you have any other questions, or want some more detailed pictures. Thanks.

    My new plinker

don't get out to shoot nearly as much as I wish, but that's a nice p22. I had one with a red dot sight on top. It looked like some futuristic gun cause the sight was almost as big as the gun. For now, I'm sticking to the CZ
  17. Brad doesn't even work in the bar business either anymore, and I'm not even sure he lives in columbus anymore either. After he sold his gunmetal FD, I haven't heard of him having another since.
  18. I can understand that, but you're also going to find that the buell is far from conservative (especially with relation to ergos). It's also going to eventually get depressing when you realize that your car is faster than your bike in a roll-on. Plus, most Harley guys frown on Buell anyway (not sure why though). Hopefully, Harley will soon wise up and let Eric Buell have a shot at making a bike with the V-Rod motor.
  19. I wouldn't shy away from a 600 just because of your weight (especially as a first bike). My best friend is 6'1" 290-ish and rode a 600 faster than many people. The buell is a cool bike, but more geared toward the turns. You mentioned riding a bike at Norwalk, so if you're more into straight line, a 600 would be a better way to start. FWIW, my 636 will run neck and neck with a 954, and it's for sale
  20. if you have a clean record, then State Farm will be your best choice. They'll make you take a car over to them, but you'll save enough on the bike that it won't matter
  21. Jones is correct, but it is not incorrect to call it a 944 turbo. And yes, the first 911 turbos were known as 930 models. After that they stopped making different model codes for turbo models since it was confusing as hell. hence 964 and 964 turbo (which some people believed was the 965 but that's not true), and the same on with the 993, 996, and 997. But that hasn't stopped them from confusing people with various combinations of GT and RS models instead.
  22. man...is anyone else having problems with thread subscriptions? It says I'm subscribed, but I'm not receiving notifications. Edit - I think I figured it out. Anyway...PMd you.
