    Future Events?

http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47813&highlight=cars+and+coffee http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50172&highlight=cars+coffee it never really materialized, but I'd still be interested in it this year.
  2. I think for a DD or a car that doesn't see regular track use you're completely correct. I still use Mobil 1 in the M3, I just shortened my change intervals a bit. -edit: Although in Andy's case where his motor costs more than the car itself....I'd probably want to use as good of oil as possible.
  3. sorry for the confusion. Yes, I was referring to your new speed3. My wife's Mazda6 came with a factory synthetic fill so I'd be REALLY surprised if your speed3 came with conventional. I'd stick to syn and switch at 1500 as planned, then go to your normal change intervals from there.
  4. those are a synthetic fill from the factory right? I'd probably stick to your plan of 1500 miles, but stick to the synthetic and go to whatever your intended normal interval would be after this change.
  5. you're making me sweat my eventual showdown of Andy's new e55 and my FD. Did you ever say what was done to the c63?
  6. CHROME WHEELS??!!!???!!! I didn't think the grille looked that bad, but I think the stock one is much cleaner.
  7. kill the electrical tape on the headlights, and if you have a M badge on it as others have suggested I'd kill that too or at least do the damn M bumpers and skirts swap....cause you're not fooling anybody with just the badge. I'd also go ahead and kill the chrome wheels, but that's just me. Other than that, welcome.
  8. it'd sure be nice if your car had a dipstick where we could at least get a look at the oil in there! I'd run the TWS 10-60 in just about everything I own if it wasn't $12 a quart!!

  10. The GTR was hot...right color too. Welcome.

    Idiocracy

definitely agree with the movie, and find myself quoting it many times when I run into stupid people in life. "Put water on them? You mean like out of the toilet?! I don't see any plants growing out of the toilet!!"
  12. HAHAHA. I have in-laws that live in Lexington that we visit quite often. I'm forced to yell "Florence Y'all" every time we pass that damn water tower!
  13. the newer advanced AI systems have fail-safe systems in place to help in those situations. FJO has a new system that also works as your boost controller. If you have any failure in the AI system then it will pull boost automatically.
  14. I guess my point with suggesting to Thorne about meth injection is that he would be able to gain pretty much all of the benefit of running e85 without A) requiring more load from his fuel system (actually he'd be removing fuel). and B) having to worry about always being within range of an e85 station. Plus you're not using 30% more fuel when you're tooling around town either. I think e85 has many benefits, but is more suited to people that would normally be running race gas instead such as Matt.
  15. Atlantis/Paradise island /thread. in all reality though side-step, run, or do whatever to avoid the absolute bum rush you'll get of people trying to sell you crap right off the boat. There are some cool shops in the "downtown" area that you can check out. Nothing's really cheap or discounted there, but there's some things that you can get there and not other places.
  16. how big of a crate are you looking for Tim? Got a smaller one to trade? When my wife and I got our dog we were told that he would get bigger than he really did, so we have a bigger crate than he needs. It never really causes us issues until we go to take it to other people's houses as it's JUST too big to fit into the trunk of her car without putting the seats down. It'd be nice to have one that's literally like 3 inches more narrow. Not a big deal, but an annoyance none the less.
  17. I got it for the wii thru a rewards program at work. I've played it once. Glad I didn't spend my own money on it.
  18. not to stir the pot too much, but what about methanol injection on top of standard pump as opposed to going full e85?
  19. I realize everybody has different experiences and all... My wife bought new an 03 Mazda 6 and we still have it. It's the 2.3L automatic. Yes it's slow, no it's not sporty....but that's not what we have it for. We put a good amount of use on the car - it's currently just over 110,000 miles of our use - and have had a good experience with it. The brakes (at least on the early cars) tend to wear out pretty quickly, and we had a vacuum tube split behind the intake manifold that was a pain in the ass to change, but other than that we've been trucking for quite some time with that car and I fully intend to drive it until it's completely broke and busted.
  20. definitely a wise choice then considering the options. You're right that it was a mistake doing the term on the GTI, but you live you learn I suppose. Pay it off and consider it a good education lesson that cost you a lot less than letting someone convince you to buy a $200K home instead. I still vote chip/intake/downpipe on the GTI and drive it.
  21. JP makes VERY valid points. The VR6 is a great motor and sounds HOT...but can't you make your GTI just as fast with a chip and other small mods? 30K warranty and 2 years of payments is nothing to scoff at. I've known ONE person who was close to me that came away with a good deal from Denny and the car was as promised. Therefore I would assume that if you look the car over CLOSELY and the deal makes sense then you'll be fine.
  22. HAR HAR HAR....you know you're jealous of that special fuel/exhaust/oil smell I have whenever I drive my car. I just tell the bitches that I'm on my hog
  23. that is pretty badass. Wonder how big of parts it can do? It showed a copy of a rear end on the video.
  24. yeah, but my old thick yellowed stuff is tank-armor worthy. NOTHING stains it and NOTHING scratches it....except for those parts that have dirt behind them now where it came loose at the corners
