Lets just hope the weather improves....Too early too call...but hoping the cold front moves out before then. Otherwise the soft tires are going on for sure!
-
I would have went Saturday, but the Gf wants to go and she doesn't get home till just after 5pm. Hell if I'm driving up there, back down for her and back up again.
-
Looks like the plan is on me missing Saturday and coming up that evening before the gates close. I'll have the inverter with me for AC/heater hook-up if anyone needs. Not sure what space will be available when I get there so I'll play it by ear on where I end up. Marty, will have my pre-order in for you!

I'm still getting the bike in working order and have to get it setup. Changed some suspension stuff and the front master gave out at Jennings...so I went with a Brembo. So i need to get use to that change also once I get it all installed.
-
Can probably take me off the trackday list for Saurday due to schedule. I'll be arriving Saturday night most likely and only racing Sunday. May do the mini 20 also with missing Sat.

Its a known issue with the 600rr line that the OEM Master Cylinder is kinda crappy. I've had the same problems with my 07. Lemee guess, you have about 1/2-1 inch of play till you get stiffness in the lever? Normal unfortunately. I got the MC seal/rebuild kit last year and did it...and had Reuben rebuild the calipers this year. Went to Jennings last month and even with new pads the lever was back at my fingers by the end of the day. I finally gave up and got a Brembo 19x18 to replace it with. Just waiting on the reseviour kit to bleed it all out again.

I was in a rush to get home get the new part on Mike's bike and then out for gas to fill it up from the gas I took out from the leaking tank. (And used ) All is well till he got home and got a FI light. But should be a simple fix of lose MAP sensor connector or pinched MAP hose. As for those settings, just bring them by when you pickup the trailer for Putnam.

Just got done watching Qualifying. I like the comment the announcers make about Max Biaggi from last year. How many engines did he use during his world superbike championship last year? 28 Engines for 26 races in 13 rounds....

Thats debateable...All I see lately are talks of spooning, spooge, tasty asian dogs in cold "wrap" and zomg zombies+guns 4 life
-
I bought mine, but thats because my race license from wera carried over. I finally got it in the mail this week! if you don't have another current race license with a listed org on the rules. Then you would have to take the school and buy a license.
-
Close, but not quite Give Ryan a call and he will get you taken care of and work with you!
-
Craig and John, you can always work with me on lodging at the track if needed. Generator/kot/etc if needed to save some $$. Sure we can work something out! :leghump:

I think its definitely possible for you guys to get into advanced by mid year. All of those guys can help you and work on problems your having. While speed is great, you also need to be consistent and "see" the lines and be predictable. Find your turn/braking marking points on track and slowly work speed into the equation.

Its normal. The temp should be about 180 riding. When stopped as said theres no air flow so the temp goes up. The fan will kick on about 220 if memory serves and keep your pretty steady. I've seen my past 2 CBR's get to 229, but never anymore then that.

I had fun last year
-
Add me as likely for the mini 20, but I need to call Todd about prices since I forgot how much i had left for Saturday with my pre-reg snafu.
-
Idk yet....might try to arrive friday evening if i can. I really hate leaving at 3am...
-
Will be there Saturday and Sunday.
-
I didn't have much problems with mine or doing Mike's just now. Only hick-up we had was I tightened the lower adjuster too much and had to loosen it up a bit. We had the gas tank changed out, throttle cables, OEM upper stay and radiator hose changed out in about 2 hours. Though, I'm really considering an R6 for next season for something new
-
I will also run a dedicated mc oil, not rotella that was based on diesel engines. Personally, I use Repsol 4T full synthetic 10W30 and either a OEM Honda filter or Mobile 1. (M108) Repsol, Motul, Mobile 1, Amsoil

Anyone ever rented out a track and had their own private trackday??
SJC1000rr replied to Dubguy85's topic in Track is Crack
I have my rain tires from last year for sale...just sayin! They are still in pretty good shape also. -
Did you get it done? I'll be working on Mykills tonight and will take pictures of how we get it done.

Over time, overtime, overtime..... Think last year I racked up about 500-600 hours of it to pay for all of it and so on. The year before I went with the CC route and it took most of my 2011 tax return to pay it off and then spent the rest to cover most of this season already so I'm ahead of the game. At least until I need repairs or something unexpected happens. If your scratching your head, just use a spreadsheet or Word doc to figure out your expenses for the current and next month so you know about what you'll have. IF you can afford to go, then have fun and do it. If not....don't. I know how hard it is to not go...but getting deep into debt is not the answer. MANY of us can give you horror stories I'm sure.
