  1. yours? bret i was talking with a jolly old englishman at the bank the other day. he reminded me of you...
  2. lowering the bike would keep the center of gravity lower and probably help keep the bike on the ground, but other than that i see no advantage. any increase in wheelbase will lower the turning radius of the bike. this is all just my experience as an engineer, actual results may vary.
  3. about the old batmans i would agree with you, but the new one is bad ass. speed racer FTW!
  4. all winter. we had to break out the battery charger.
  5. i should have asked for less, cause the guy was moving to florida, but he was asking 5900, and i offered 5k, and he took it. its got 7k miles on it, he bought it two years ago when it had like 3500 miles on it. when i asked him what the longest trip he went on with it he replied "boston", with a little confusion. about the 250: shipping back to ohio is a nogo. unless your bud wants to come and pick it up, shipping is like 600 bucks.
  6. i hired a couple of midgets with stilts to follow me back to ohio when i go...
  7. and you thought sportbike mirrors were worthless...
  8. seems like every spring i get a new toy...
  9. i used to see him all the time at taco bell...
  10. guess he parted it out... i wonder who bought the half-yellow-shitty-painted frame... http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/655888296.html
  11. eh, im not sure i care enough to do that. ive gotten over the fact that my bike has a bunch of rash.
  12. as it turns out, it was the common cold.
  13. someone posted it on craigslist forums... i think the blood loss in my arms would make turning more fun!
  14. essentially this ride was about 4 roads, and over 300 miles round trip, through NH, VT, and MA. some of the best roads ive ever ridden.

definitely need to hack the pipe into something meaner. you gonna truck-bed-line the custom aluminum super duper fender eliminator extraordinaire?
  16. you can deadlift me and my bike.
  17. i could see a car mechanic who supports ohio riders making a little more money than he/she used to...
  18. yota this guy doesnt party like you. at his parties, theres chicks.
  19. I was chasing a killer seagull. yes, I was chasing him. thing was stupid fast, I held it till I saw the needle hit redline in 6th and let off.
  20. i appreciate your opinion, and i dont really care about this particular bike. i dont really need a bike right now, but if the right deal comes along, you know how it goes. plus, i havent done much work other than typing a few keystrokes and learning more about stuff that i should probably know about anyways. if it comes down to sitting at a bank trying to figure this out with a billion people and not buying the bike, then ill walk. but if he is just ignorant and slightly shady, and can pay off the loan and get me the title, then why not? i think hes the latter because his asking price was a little ridiculous (high). a scammer would probably do what this guy is doing, but have a much lower asking price so that he would get more of a response. i really do appreciate all of your guys' help. edit: he gave me the name of the credit union he has the loan with, still wont tell me how much he owes. i talked to the bank and they basically agreed with me and filled in some details. if i plan on buying it i should go with him to the bank and complete the transaction right there and he can pay off the loan and get me the title. if i want to speed things up, we can call ahead and have them take the title from their secure facility and transfer it to the local branch we wish to complete things at, then if he pays off the loan completely, they can hand over the title. maybe i can get a good deal out of it, who knows.
  21. understandable. but if i made him get me the title (him paying it off) before giving him any money, or went to the bank with him and gave them money after they give me the title, then there would be no tow trucks...right?
  22. maybe you should put the donuts on the ground and do push ups to eat them instead of sitting at a table and doing the donut-curls. but seriously, i like my textile jacket, though when i take the liner out there is a lot of extra room in it. it has a bunch of adjustment straps in the arms though to cinch it up, and two waist adjustments around my hips. it was way cheaper than leather and holds up to the chilly new england air pretty damn well (only wear a t shirt under it on 30 degree mornings).
  23. count is still the same. you can get it titled in your name with a lien on it. ohio DMV says so. its just a very bad idea(unless the lien is yours of course). edit: asked the guy how much he owed on it and he told me its irrelevant.
