yeah my comment about the 250 being enough was a joke. as much as im enjoying this 250 love fest (not really), i cant wait to have some real power to take through the twisties.

all the more reason for it to be a hoax. but can you complain about people giving hospitalized folks hope?

i need some numbers for monthly utils and rent obviously, but other than that im sold.

my first bike is the one im still on. 04 ninja 250. bought it at 1700 miles last year, left it in september when it had 6k on it. now it has 7k. its getting to be a tad slow for me, and im workin on getting my second, but idk if i could ever give it up entirely. my favorite rhetorical question: "that things a 250?"

im just offering up facts, dont really want to say one way or the other because i see a flame war on the horizon. i mean on the one hand safety is paramount, but on the other, helmets are pretty darn expensive, so that fine line between critical, and not critical impact becomes pretty important, as long as both of those things are of concern to you. edit: take it to the airport when a friend of yours is flying out, and have him run it through the xray while you watch. then he can hand it to you from the exit.

well what ive heard is that helmets are suicidal, that meaning that to protect you, they are destroyed themselves. kinda like the crumple zone on a car. so they say once a helmet sustains an impact that it should be replaced. not really sure who is to say how hard of an impact you need to really hurt the helmet, but it is your noggin its protecting.

yeah its great snowboarding because of the thick leather on the palms, but you need some waterproof gloves or youll be sorry. yeah dont you want something more with a gauntlet type dealy for the track? the sledge is a nice street glove i think, but i dont know if i would sport it on the track.

well ive got two pairs now, and just ordered a third this morning. the first pair i got was the alpinestars sledge. its a short cuff street glove for about 50 bucks. i like them a lot. they are my all around kickin it glove. the leather is very nice and the lining doesnt make you feel gross even after many warm days in them. second pair i got was alpinestars SR2. i got them as a winter glove to keep out the wet and cold. i ended up using them as my snowboarding gloves this winter and they held up pretty well. i would come home at the end of the day and my gloves would be soaked, but my hands were dry and happy. when i finally got to use them on my bike however, they didnt work out so well. they dont keep out the very high winds like i was hoping. i guess im just disappointed because i thought they could do more, but for a mild temp rain glove, they are very nice. good dexterity even with the insulation and a nice leather palm. the third pair i ordered was the tourmaster synergy heated glove. its pretty frigid in the mornings here in NH and i just cant stand it anymore. review to come.

i rode through Y-town on my way to new hampshire. i seriously thought i was going to get mugged for the luggage i had on my bike. it was the saddest city i have ever been through.

have you seen one in person? we saw a black 08 cbr at qsl and it was HOT. i didnt think much of the pictures, but its stunning in person. it doesnt look big enough to be a liter bike.

i would just leave and come back after my bday. what are they gonna say? "you need to pay for tags you never had!!!!!"

put that exhaust on the SM and it would be a lot cooler. my friend says they need the twin exhaust for the euro emission standards while still getting the performance they want from the engine.

a guy at work has that SM in black. even with the DUAL exhaust for a single cylinder, its a bad ass looking bike. i think i like the duke more however. sexy bikes.

oh yeah i forgot, well hes got a thread about getting his semi stuck. so you could probably figure out down to like 3 ppl from that.
