i rented one of those back in octrober. definitely looks cool. vmax would eat it for lunch though. you gotta put a windscreen on a bike like that or else you can only ride it in 30 minute sprints (arms get tired from hanging on), and once it has a windscreen, it looks like ass.

i love that tailbag. im thinking about buying the saddlebags that mate with it too. the saddles would be too close to your exhaust for comfort though...

if you really need to start riding right now and want at least a little bit of approval from the mom, i would get a ninja250. its boring as all shit by the end of the season, but you can sell it for what you bought it for next year around this time (unless you wreck it or bought it new right now), and then upgrade this winter when bigger bikes are a lot cheaper. dont forget the gear, and the MSF course is a great way to learn how to ride. sign up for one and start trying to get a walk-in spot. my class was for august when i signed up, but i got in a course in april by just showing up every week.

im actually rather interested in seeing the races at mid-O this year. i dont think i really want to watch the "daytona superbike" shit, but will anyways because its new. but the class where anything goes and the literbike class will def be 10000000* more interesting than current AMA stuff methinks.
