To a new rider at the speed limit those curves feel like knee dragging. But give good feeling of leaning... I remember when i frst started curves that I thought I was hauling and now I could ride them sitting on the tank at the same speed.

I am more then happy to help set pace for him when we start getting him going. The roads in the area like Princeton rd. Greenlawn (from Milikin to Rt 4.), are curvy enough to get new riders aquainted. Then after a bit we can move him out to the roads on the far side of fairfield

Yeah they won't remove your license if you crash..

You will just still have the Provisional status. Once you complete 2 weekends with no crashes then you lose it. If you do crash you still get to race, I don't know if there is any rules that if you go so long you have to the school again or not. But generally it isn't that big a deal. It is 2 weekends not 2 races. There was a guy at Nashville this year who was a provi, but he crashes to much so keeps the status. Though he did turn the 3rd fastest lap of anyone. Behind a AMA privateer and one other WERA expert. they were the only 3 people to run 1:03s at nashville..

You probably already know, but there are no 3 hour Endurance races at the WERA regionals... Just 20 lap solo races.

So you guys just gonna run Fasttrax? Or are you guys gonna hit the closer WERA endurance races???

If they ran endurace races at the regional level I would. But only the National events have the Endurance races or Fasttrax.

$75 for school includes 2 practice session and instruction by yourself (as a group) or pared with a smaller vintage class in the morning, then a 4 lap race at the end of Saturday.. Then Sunday you can run the Sprint races your bike is legal for.

I thought you said a GSXR 600. OOOps. Katanas are ok, but I think $3800 for a katana is a bit much, but maybe not if it only has 3000 miles on it. You could get a SV 650 easily for that price that has less plastic, handles better and easier to learn on since it is a lot lighter.

The guys who went this weekend only got their certificates to get their license. They did not get their license.. The will still need to pay the $100 license fee. But Team Chicago who puts on this school only charged $30 for the class to get your certificate to get your license. The WERA school is $75 for the class then $100 for the license. You have to go through a school to your certificate to get your Provisional License then pay $100 to get the Provisional license.

If it is legal then this i why it will never be truly legal... Cops not knowing it or just saying tough you get a ticket... Yes I have a bad outlook on cops after a few incidents (cop lying on the stand, HWP refusing to show me the Radar when I asked).

It is like that in South Africa too, and man was it nice. Not only do you move through traffic faster, but seeing people move over for you makes you realize that they are looking for bikes 20 times more then US drivers..
