  1. Ah got some gearing info from one of the guys who ran on the Wizard Nat'l Endurance team on a k6 Gixxer 1k. He said they ran 16/47 (-1 front +5 rear) So I am going to put on 46 tooth rear for -1 +4 on the 1k.. Seeing how I didn't even touch 6th gear at Mid OH even with -1 +1.
  2. Yeah I thought he was gone. 2005 I think.. Just shows how much I pay attention to sports that isn't Motorcycle related.
  3. I thought this was Richard Pryor was coming to somewhere. Oh well. Carry on the bashing of either. I love the light bulb jokes. thos were good.
  4. Sure playing nice now huh... Welcome. VT 750s is that the Virago 750s or Maxims can't remember...
  5. They handle well enough to handle any street pace.. I have run KY with the TL. They just require a little more throttle control since they are so choppy. The suspension can use some adjustments, but is stilll a knee dragger.
  6. I wish NHRA would drop Pro Stock Bike and pick up more of a Pro Street type category that allows NOS and Turbos. Would be some enteraining runs..
  7. Nah that was the only business I have done with Prostock and that was back in 2002 I think.
  8. Well he probably brought Pedro back with him, so you may have to share now Lizard...
  9. I might be able to talk my dad into selling his TL-S in a month or so. He really wants that White and Silver Gix 1k.
  10. I'll have to let you see the brights on my dad's 2000 TLS. Gixxie can attest they have some of the birghtest lights out there.
  11. I just figure if I wait long enough you will realize you didn't want to talk to me anyway. Since I don't want to talk to me why would anyone else want to. Welcome back Vibrator...

Typical American ingenuity.. Look at Harley Davidson they just last year put 6 speed transmission and changed the engine some what after 20 years. NASCRAP is the same thing. The cars don't resemble anything you can buy, and are just old school technology with some new age design. The sport does nothing to better consumer car performance for MFGs like Formula and MotoGP racing does for the car/bike world.
  13. I run brights in the day time and don't care if someone complains, but at night I will run dims. I feel safer at night around town only cause the Cagers are looking for headlights and are less likely to miss you.. And some Sportbike Brights are blinding (TLS is one of them). But 9999/10000 the person who is going to pull out won't see you headlights or no.
  14. It ain't that bad. I took me about an hour to get the bike ready for trackday and hour and a half to get to ready for street... Having a headlight IMO doesn't make us any easier to see cause the idgit drivers still don't see us even with headlights...
  15. Not sure about KY, but I know OH is required by law to have a headlight.
  16. What does he have setup for a headlight Just curious? I know they don't have to be much, even one of those small PIAA lights pass as a light.
  17. I had Fade issues on my 01 1k and at mid OH and Putnam on a SS brake lines, Galfter HH pads, and stock rotors. I bled the lines before Putnam, and almost ended up in the kitty litter after a short red flag when my front brake came almost all the way to the bar. So I had Pro Stock performance bleed the lines before Mid OH and after about 5 laps I had to use all finger since if I used two or one the lever was coming straight to rest on my fingers around the clipon.. Now mind you this is with the lever adjuster on the farthest setting. I didn't bleed lines again, change pads, master cylineder, but changed to Wave rotors and fade was cut to minimal during an entire 20 minute session.
  18. After getting 1/2 of what my bike was worth, I got my money almost a year to the date of my wreck... I wish I would have gotten some rash or broken something...
  19. Buy lots and lots of bits.... After the third bit just trying to short drill the oil drain plug I decided I will be paying someone to do it.
  20. Yeah but when I go left handed i cause more harm then good....

Well the traction control would be it's own form of launch control So we will be seeing more cars go up in smoke on the starts. I figured it would be safer to allow launch control so no cars sit and spin on the start and don't have to be dodged.
