  1. Just following Spies like a typical fan-boy. Lame.
  2. I'm not trying to defame or criticize the fallen rider here, but we should all take away that rear brake does more harm than good in panic situations. You can win a novice championship at the club level without ever touching the rear brake. In situations where you're just cruising around and are well in control, then sure, using the rear brake is fine, but if you're at even a "spirited" pace, the forks compress and the rear wheel loses traction VERY easily with even modest application of rear brake. It's not worth it.
  3. 25 years per rape count, served concurrently, credit for time served. He'll die in jail.
  4. I generally pay ~$21 for boxes of 525 or 550, either federal or remington. I can find Blazer for $18, but I like shooting my 22 more than cleaning it. I also only have the one high cap magazine. I believe i have 3 standard 10-round mags, and one 25 round mag. need to stock up on the 25's now that Ruger makes one that actually works.

    do over

power is the last thing anyone needs. fast guys on SV's reiterate this point routinely. upgrade order depends on what you've already got, and your skill level. In many cases, parts that crash well (i.e. case covers, bodywork, etc.) that may keep you riding instead of spending money on repairs might be the best initial upgrade. seat time is still the best upgrade.
  6. Jon Bon Jovi is surprisingly athletic for a man his age.
  7. They're fun little guns, and the single action means you slow down a bit and don't go through 500 rounds in 3 hours... Not that it matters much with a 22, but its fun to play cowboy and kill some targets.
  8. I'm over snow... I am not one to bitch and complain about the weather so much as suck it up and deal with life throws at me, but shoveling sucks.
  9. I like the single six. that's the only one of my grandfather's guns that i've shot. Somewhere along the line, the mag cylinder got lost (or he never had it...) I wouldn't mind getting a single ten, which is just a great little idea My only complaint is that they're quite pricey for what they are. One would think that, as you point out, with semi automatic pistols being offered in the sub $200 range (Phoenix arms HP22A, Taurus PT22, etc.) 22lr revolvers would be DIRT cheap. The least expensive ones I've seen are Heritage Arms for about $190, which is a single six copy...
  10. Avoid aggressive riding on the street, where 75' cliffs are close and ambulances are not?

    2006 fz6

damn, I wish that was in my price range. I've always liked the FZ6. Budget suspension, but solid base for an awesome do-it-all bike
  12. I assure you that they get it, and are all too thrilled to cash in on it. You have to consider that these people were 80-90% this ridiculous FOR FREE and without cameras before a network approached them. Were they ashamed or embarrassed then? Obviously not, or they would have modified their behavior. Why not cash in on the fact that people find your 'normal' life entertaining? They can laugh all the way to the bank, and when the public grows tired of them, they'll fade into obscurity like every other reality tv 'star.'
  13. many departments will also have a yellow crown vic (or share one with neighboring departments) that is used undercover as a cab. Prostitution busts and such.
  14. Seized vehicles are sometimes used for UC duty, but UC cars don't have lights and sirens. Surveillance vehicles would, but not a UC car. That kind of blows their cover. It's rare for nice cars to sit in impound very long unless they're evidence though. I am working on a case where the detective explicitly told the defense attorney he wanted the client's vehicle as a UC car. He was half joking, but only half...
  15. Hahaha you don't even know what you're banned from. That's great.
  16. they must have a way to disconnect the pipes near the base, or at the bend, and it's just held in place by cotter-pins with no hinges at all(?)
  17. I'll have to find a picture, but a clam-shell hood wouldn't fix the issue I'm seeing... ^ there ya go - how is that hood opening without the stacks interfering?
  18. Does the big torque require "bulkier" shift-forks? I lack the mechanical knowledge or vocabulary to ask this intelligently, but I just picture an RC8 transmission having to be over-engineered to handle more grunt than a 600 or inline 4 liter bike would dish out. Is that the case?
  19. Btw, this thread just prompted me to drop the price on my bike to $2500, so thanks a lot Ryan! :-p
  20. Truth. Tires are only $30/set cheaper. It's the entry fees that add up. That's one of the appeals of the mini racing. I can go twice as often.
  21. You married to the mossberg 500, or would an 870 be just as good? Police departments will sell off old service models for $200 from time to time. There are usually a hundred or so available.
  22. If a Moderator sees this and can change the thread title to reflect the updated price, that would be great. Bump - ORDN price is now $2500 FIRM with all the extras included. I'll honor that price for friends/acquaintences of members as well, I am just getting lazy about updating my threads everywhere I have the bike up for sale I'll do $2000 if I can keept he damper, warmers, and swap in a stock shock for the Penske currently on the bike (will need a little notice on that though, because I'll have to buy the stock shock...)

    DucRx

hahaha - last time i had Pauly do some work, he literally charged me half what I was quoted at another shop.
  24. They all look like rejected props from back to the future 2. And how do they pop the hood with the ridiculous stacks?
  25. Stock YSR runs at the same time as xr100 but is scored separately, so yes they were in the video, but he wasn't technically racing against them.
