  1. The GM 350s (5.7L) and 4.3L are pretty much bulletproof. Your van will fall apart before those engines will. I think the 2.2L Ecotecs are pretty stout as well, they just don't have the long term history like the 5.7L and 4.3L. The 3.8L is a distant 4th in the GM engine family in terms of reliability in my mind. Then you have "the rest"....
  2. ??? Because most people bought the GT. The GT is a better value, since there's a premium price to get the GXP. The GT has a 6.0L V8 with AFM (Active Fuel Mgmt - Cylinder deactivation) and gets 17/24MPG in a 360hp package. The GXP gets you the 415hp 6.2L LS3 (same engine in the base corvette), brembo brakes, FE3 suspension, and the optional 6 speed manual (the all GTs have a 6sp auto). So, you pony up a lot to get 50 extra horses, better brakes, handling (which unless you're pulling AutoX duty, will be negligible), and a manual transmission (Tremec TR6060). Ohh, and there's a $1700 gas guzzler tax for the GXP because it's 13/20MPG, since the LS3 doesn't have the AFM technology in it... you run on all 8, all the time. GM basically sent an engine and trans down to Australia, they wrapped a car around it, and sent it back. Apparently they just decided to send 1829...1828 for public sale, and one for GM to keep.
  3. Russian is easy... all you have to do is write in English, but while you're drunk off your ass with Vodka. It'll all make sense then.
  4. I bring you - "The biggest bonehead play in HS football". You only need to watch the first 2 min. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1JpJ53FbXg&feature=player_embedded
  5. Flag it.. the moderators will remove such blasphemy from the board. Ask me how I know...
  6. Most powerful Pontiac, EVER made. And it'll be the last, so that statement will stand. I'm kind of forced into GM though - for numerous reasons, but most prominent because the vouchers are only good with GM vehicles and I get GMS pricing. Makes GM-mobiles cheaper for me than any similar car in the category.
  7. GXP has the brembos and FE3 suspension (Nurburgring tuned) I think they look sharp, I won't have to get rid of it if I have a family because it's practical, and they only made 1829 of them. I'm really not in the market for a new car, I'm doing it as a favor for my dad, but I think it'll be nice.
  8. g8 gxp 415hp/415tq - LS3, 6speed Depending on what numbers you wanna believe... 0-60mph in 4.7, 1/4 mile in 13.2 @ 108mph. A hayabusa it is not, but it'll seat 5 comfortably. One of the rare sedans that my head doesn't get wedged into the roofline in the back seat.
  9. Anytime you wanna line up the Vulcan next to the Pontiac... you let me know
  10. I'll miss the Sky. Never got a chance to test the Aura either, but I heard it was nice. The rest of it... meh.
  11. Yea, you charge too much for tacos.
  12. Wow. Maybe I just look untrustworthy?
  13. Everyone in NEO knows you're a knucklehead
  14. Someone find me a dealer that'll let me overnight test a $20k vehicle without anything down... I'll shop there. I've got a lot of errands I can run at night on the dealers gas and insurance.
  15. They can subpoena my sweaty nutsack
  16. It sounds like there may be an interesting story in there somewhere
  17. We need to get a ORDN team together next year. I had it figured up that with the car, entry fee, cage/part costs to bring it up to snuff - it was like $3000 Or $500/person for a 6 crew team. Though, I could be WAAAAY off. V4 would know much better.
  18. No, it does matter, because you're a mod. And no one was talking shit - not seriously - until you started removing posts and I asked for an explanation. Why are you on a social gathering site for bikers if you're not going to socialize? Your life isn't anyones business, true... but yet you post up about whether you'll make the M&Gs, finding a roommate, etc. So, you make it peoples business. I still can't understand with all the information people can easily find about you, your lifestyle choices, and activities you're involved with, that having a relationship with another board member would be unmentionable - especially since I figured it out from other information freely available on the board.
  19. Fair enough. So if I take offense to anything anyone says pertaining to me, regardless of how petty or significant (either ends of the spectrum) the post is to my lifestyle, I can flag it for removal and you'll guarantee it'll be removed? Basically, I have the right to encroach on others free speech if any of that speech involves me? Granted, I'm well aware that this is a 'private' forum by definition (i.e. Ben owns it) so he can censor whoever he wants and has bestowed that power upon the mods as well, but what would be stopping me from basically doing the exact same thing I did here via my forum, or on a cell phone, or on Facebook? The majority of my social networks overlap, so if it was out of your control there, what would you do? And don't you think people would eventually make the same assumptions or uncover the same information themselves no matter if you removed it from ORDN or not?
  20. And if that's your stance, I respect that. But you can't have that apply JUST to you. You can deny it and move on, versus removing it. Like I said, it wasn't hard to figure out as there are other places on the board I figured it out from. And, you can't stop public observation... if you two are out together... then you're out together. No one said it was a date, but you have to accept that if people observe you doing things out in public, their observations can be reported and then assumptions made/implied based on those observations. But, if that's your stance fine... then all the rumors about Mj should be removed (like her being a Russian contortionist), because you don't know if the Kremlin is prowling the internets and what legal troubles Mj has had in the past either. She deserves the same treatment. If you weren't a mod, how do you think this situation would've been handled?
  21. I'm having the treatment costs invoiced directly to Mj's account, but thanks.
  22. I mean, in all honesty though, the banter back and forth between other members (including myself) has gotten WAY worse than the 'outing' of a relationship - which wasn't hard to find if you've read some threads and know what to search for. Yet, the mods let us go back and forth busting on each other, because for the most part, "internetz are cereal bisniss" and IRL we're all cool. It's all talk. But, as soon as talk goes down about Ninjachk (who happens to be a mod), posts get removed. I can't speak for Ben, BornSinner, Kawi, or the other mods - but from what I've observed, for the most part, when they're getting busted on, they leave the posts up even though they have the power to take them down. I do the same thing on the forum I admin... the members bust my chops (rightfully and wrongfully so at times), but I've never removed a post. You let people speak and the community as a whole can judge whether the post if BS or not. My posts in this thread may've been a little over the top - jokingly (like the one about spreading around like MJ). But, I'm pretty sure I've made way more offensive jokes in other threads, antagonizing other members, that remain on the board (probably ones busting on MJ there too ). But, why did the post that where I outed Wheez + Ninjachk get removed? I said nothing but those two names in that post and "that is all". I just kind of want an explanation of the double-standard as it applies to Ninjachk? I've met Dani and Lance both and have no problem with either of them - they're nice people, but I don't think it's right to selectively censor people based on your personal sensitivity. So, please enlighten me as to why/who/how these determinations are made. I'm going to copy and paste this post on my local machine just in case it gets removed.
