This is good. You probably couldn't have brought this up at a better time. I am sort of in the same boat. I recently switched jobs for better pay, but I hate it. I'm miserable sitting at a desk all day. I would love to do my own thing, but the risk is too scary, and I'm the one carrying insurance, so that keeps me from even trying to move out of the corporate world. FML.

I certainly hope I don't jinx myself by saying this... but this is the reason I don't want to get a new water heater. My house was built in 1973, and the original water heater is still in place and kicking out hot water and not leaking a single drop. If I bought a new one today, I'd have to replace it in 10 - 15 years.

Would he be ok with a pink one? My step-daughter was too old for it when her grandparents bought it for her a couple years ago. She rode it a handful of times and it's been sitting in my garage since. A little bit of spray paint would fix the color issue.

Any further updates as to who you went with and pricing? I just had Champion come out on Saturday to get pricing after I saw a commercial for 30% off right now. To replace 18 windows and a front door with sidelights, he came up with $19K. That was after the 30% off, plus 5% coupon, plus 5% home show discount. I basically told him to kick rocks.
