Is there anyone on here that does HVAC and is near the Circleville area? Or does anyone have a contact for a reputable person that isn't going to nickle and dime and rip an older couple off? My in-laws home A/C isn't working. With the weather having warmed back up quite a bit, it needs fixed. But they are afraid it's going to cost them an arm and a leg, so they aren't doing anything about it. This heat isn't good for them and their health.

I offered him $2500 today and he came back with $2800. I told him I'd have to think about it.

Just read this article; I don't think it's been posted on here. Sure wish I had the time and money to help this guy unload his collection by taking a few off his hands. Cliffs: Cool old guy has 200+ unique cars on his own property that is his collection. Township found out about it and says he has to unload his collection. Township is forcing him to unload 20 cars a month or they will take them. Let's spread the word and help this guy not lose his cars to the township. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/classic-cars/a-michigan-town-is-forcing-this-man-to-sell-20-old-cars-off-his-property-every-month/ar-AAs9snb?li=BBnb4R5

I've been a witness to 2 head-on collisions. In one of them, a guy died on impact. Seeing things like that is crazy and really makes you think.

Damn, this would be the ideal thing to turn into a multi-tap kegerator...

I cut the cord almost a year ago and haven't had any issues without IPVanish. I know you can get busted for hosting, but didn't think streaming it was an issue.

I can't believe the time has already come. I'm so excited to watch football. However, I'm having a surgery tomorrow early afternoon, so I hope the anesthesia wears off in time for me to be able to stay awake during the game.

Those would definitely be removed first. The bench does have tears in it, but I'd just throw a cheap seat cover over it for now. I don't remember what the floor looks like. The dash isn't cracked. Has all interior pieces as far as I remember. I'm not looking to drop a ton of money in a truck right after purchase, if I don't HAVE to. I need a truck to do what a truck is supposed to do... and something to tinker with occasionally when extra funds are available.

Yeah, I like it on that truck. Oh, and the SS stick-ons add 20HP (10 for each side).
-
The weather down the sides are from the stupid bed cover that the previous owner had put on it. He installed the button type. Dumb. The tires have a decent amount of tread left on them, but due to the age, they are cracking. The stock wheels have newer tires on them, but those wheels/tires are smaller.

Added a pic of the truck to the first post.

I saw it when you posted it, but a couple things that made me pass: 4.3L V6 Custom Deluxe TH400 transmission (no reverse)

I looked at the truck tonight. It's an Arizona truck that was brought here about 5 or so years ago when the current owner bought it. He hasn't driven it in the winter, but it sits outside. He said he's only put about 5K on it since he's had it. The PO rebuilt the engine approximately 85K miles ago. Had long tube headers and solid duals out the back. No fluid leaks. Starts right up. Shifting is solid. Brakes seem firm. Frame rails are solid. Has typical 'truck of that age' issues. Cab corners are rusted. Driver door hard to shut; had to slam it. No A/C (which I don't care about; I prefer 2-60 air). Tailgate handle doesn't automatically retract when you open the tailgate; you have to manually push the handle back to the closed position. Has new water pump, battery, and gas tank. Comes with the stock rims w/ new tires on them, which are not on the truck right now. The driver side mirror needs to be replaced because some kids in the neighborhood recently broke it. All in all, it seems like a good truck, but I also think it's priced a bit high. He told me to make him an offer. However, like I said earlier, I would like to have a bigger motor in it. But as someone else said, larger engines can be had fairly cheap and these trucks are easy as hell to work on. I'm a bit torn as to what to do. One of the main reasons I was immediately attracted to this truck is because it's damn near an exact match to one my uncle had when I was growing up. He was an extremely important person in my life and passed away from cancer at a very early age. Both myself and his son (my cousin) wanted to buy his truck, but my uncle's wife sold it to her brother. I spent many hours helping my uncle work on that truck and that's where I learned how to wrench. I feel that if I offer him $1500, he'll tell me to kick rocks. So, I don't know. Would $2,000 be too much or pretty fair based off what I've said about the truck and what he's asking?
-
hmmm.... good info. I was thinking his price was too high, but wanted other opinions, so this helps. Also, I was doing some research on that engine. It's doesn't have a lot of HP, but the truck is light. I was really looking for something with a beefier motor. I'm not planning on trying to race it or anything. I just want something with some cojones.

I'm looking at an older truck, 87 GMC Sierra regular cab, long bed, auto, with the 305. The body is in decent shape. Appears to be original faded paint. Bench seat has typical seam tears. 2 sets of wheels. ODO says 250K on it, but current owner states previous owner rebuilt the engine approximately 7 years ago. Not sure how many miles since rebuild. The PO was using this truck to pull a trailer w/ a car on it. Current owner does not daily this, but says it runs strong with no slipping in transmission, etc. He's asking $3500. I feel these older vehicles are hard to price due to so many variables. I guess it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So, my question is, is his asking price way off base or pretty fair? I can't upload a pic right now, but can later, if needed. Here's a pic of the truck:

A buddy of mine got off work at noon and stopped at the Stringtown Rd store for me. He grabbed the last one there. Can't wait to try this out. It'll be sooooo much better than my Brinkman electric POS.
-
I'll be damn. Funny that the Reynoldsburg store still has them listed at $349. I wonder if they would price match their other stores.
-
Where are you seeing it for $89? I clicked on it and it says $349. What am I missing?
-
Very nice. Why didn't you do the floor first? My understanding is that it will be more difficult for the person doing the concrete, so they charge more.

We're going on Monday. I'm not concerned about the rides, as I'm sure after this, there will be tighter inspection controls for the remainder of the fair. That doesn't mean that there's still no chance for an accident to happen. However, we will stay away from this one. I never really cared for it anyway. Like someone else said, your chances of getting injured or killed in a vehicle accident on the way to the fair is more likely.

Need to make 18"w x 36"d holes for concrete anchors

I didn't realize HD had them. Figured it would have to be purchased directly from the manufacturer or a special distributor. That's quite a bit of coin, but with my system being all electric, I bet it would pay for itself fairly quickly. Will have to check into it. Thanks for the info.

What kind of pricing are we talking about for this fan system?
-
Did you do the install or have it done? I'll have to do more reading about this later, but I'm curious if the install is relatively simple. I could definitely benefit from this having an all electric house with heat pump.

Isn't the Viper plant closing? I can swear I thought I read that somewhere last week or so.
