I was more saying for superstition not to actually use them.

Everybody buy rain tires, maybe the weather will clear up. I can't believe this either those days are the only days with rain in the forecast out of all 10.

She bought it brand new before I met her. I think it's a 2008 model year and it has about 16k miles on it. The recommended oil change interval is like 15k miles. It's cheaper to just run amsoil in it than convential at this interval. Aside from that, she likes the car cause it's cute, so I might as well keep it well maintained rather than have it die early. I actually met my amsoil hookup through one of her coworkers so I get it at cost. I think a lot of people have an "amsoil guy" it seems similar to the "avon lady"

I pull a trailer with my GTI. 2 sport bikes, no problem. I think the real question is. What event is this and who else is going. There is bound to be space on someone's trailer. Depending on the distance slip them some cash or case of beer and you've got new friends and a ride. For your very first track day it's the way to go. As far as riding to the track day. I know a bunch of people are balking at it but if it is nearby like Mid-OH and you are riding a novice track day it's not a big deal. I know some people who have done it. You'll be tired and probably not want to ride home but I'm sure you'll live.

I'm running amsoil in my VW, my fiance's chevy aveo, my ducati and my gixxer and I'm waiting for the oil light to come on in my QT50 yamahopper which is 2 stroke oil injected to add the 2 stroke amsoil to it. Come to think of it, I need to get some for my lawn mower, and you know my 2 stroke snow blower will get a little premixed love from the same oil that is going into the yamahopper. Jesus, I never really thought about how many god damn motors I am putting oil in.

Brandt is right. The hyper is stupid fun. In fact on the street I would say bikes like these are arguably more fun than a full on sport bike. I'll never forget riding 555 on my monster with a bunch of guys on bikes like a 996 and 1098 and other bikes with clip ons and I had a huge grin on my face and they were all ready to stop riding for the day. So I'll plug too things. I love my Ducati monster and you should buy one. Still get a twin but you get straight bars, same with the hyper. or 2. Just put straight bars or converti bars on your RC51. Otherwise, bump for a nice bike for sale. I've always like the RC51s too. Never ridden one though.

I do see Busas at the track. But I don't think turning is the point of this post.

Ben, did you get inspired by the Chernobyl girl?

FWIW, I bought a really nice setting at IDG when they were going under and got the stone on Bluenile.com. IDG was even happy to mount it for me since they didn't have any loose diamonds anymore. The granularity that you can search for diamonds on bluenile is amazing and the prices are better than any local jeweler and the stone comes with a GIA certification. Learn your 4 Cs and shop there, I was thoroughly impressed with the site. This is what I came up with. Bluenile even sent me a nice box.

take the calipers off and get them above the master cylinder. If you bleed them like this you'll have brakes that feel like concrete. They might even clamp so hard that your pads fall to pieces.........

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn last year. It was nice.

I contest pretty much every one I get. It's good to keep your record as clean as you can. At least IMO.

It was an 87 or something like that in a 65. I went to court, talked to prosecutor got it reduced to a no points speed. If you don't have a bad record you can do it every time. I was actually on my way to pick up Yota on a Saturday morning. I wish you could see back to when I was 16. There would be about 12 or 14 tickets in all. I actually just got one in NC a few weeks ago. 86 in a 55, have to have an attorney represent me or I have to go back there. It's a racket. I got a bunch of letters in the mail from attorneys, one of them will do it for $60. But the others have a sliding scale based on the violation.

Yota is a gangster.

All good points IP. I agree that is contradictory. But I did speak to this guy on the phone and even though I picked up a bit of an accusatory tone from him in his post I really felt that he seemed like a very stand up guy that was willing to work to help me out and honestly investigate the situation. I also understand his skepticism in that he knows of 3 cases out of thousands sold and I'm sure he's seen more than his fair share of improper application of the product. I work in IT and believe me I understand "user error." I am not saying that it gives a manufacturer a free pass or that I feel happy with the way my CL pads performed. I'm just saying the jury is still out and no matter what Mathias says at the end of the day he is just a very knowledgeable reseller who truly believes in his product. It's ultimately going to be up to CL to come out and say what the hell happened with this pad and we'll likely here what CL tells Mathias to tell us. Maybe this is true maybe not. It's my feeling honestly that , if there was an issue, they likely dealt with it in releasing the C55 pads but that is just my conjecture on the limited information I've gathered through this whole posting my issue on the internet debacle. Of course there are still C44 pads for sale so what the liability is there I don't know. I'd love to speak to someone that can give me concrete information on which part numbers failed and why. Hopefully I'll hear that once my pads get looked at, which regrettably has not happened yet entirely because I just shipped the pads to Mathias today. I'm sure things will move quickly once he receives them tomorrow. At the end of the day, I'm not sure what to believe or take away from his post but through this whole thing I've been trying to stay calm and remember that you catch more bees with honey or something like that. I don't want to just bash the guy unless he really deserves it. Believe me this situation pissed me off too.

Thanks, he's probably not used to the regular OR brow beating that goes on around here
