I think Brandon had an issue where he put a fully faired bike onto an open trailer back wards. It ripped the fairings off. I understand that going forwards to get the bike off the truck is easier but doesn't that just make loading harder? Anyway, definitely forward facing
Concourse 14 = excellent police bike. Fast agile and can carry a good deal of gear and equipment. That would be a fun job doing your shifts on a bike like that.
I just remember the "million dollar game room" which was a million dollars 10 years ago but more recently it was a bunch of broken down games on old style non HD rear projection TVs. Interesting to see something so state of the art age.
for hooligan fun you can't beat a twin. If I didn't already have an air cooled ducati monster which I love a superduke 990 or a tuono would be a serious consideration. Besides on a naked bike what good is top end anyway. At 140mph (indicated) I feel like I'm about to be ripped right off of my monster by nature herself.
I've ridden a superduke 990 a a speed triple back to back. Super duke hands down. The 1050 motor in the speed triple is awesome but belongs in a super bike IMHO. It's very smooth in every way and that is very nice. But for a hooligan street bike I like some kick. The superduke has that kick that makes you want to act like an idiot every time you sit on it. Since I've demoed it I think it is one of my favorite bikes. Aside from that I am 6'3" tall and the speed triple feels very small. The duke is taller.
No word yet. I'll give it a few more weeks and call Mathias. Not sure if he reads the forums or subscribed to the thread. Maybe he'll post up when he hears something.
I am not excluding myself but jesus this forum is nerdy. I understand all of it and don't understand why any of it is on a motorcycle forum. My 2 cents. RDPing out of the network to surf the internet is really not a new idea, if the network guys cared to stop you they would. Carry on.
My bikes are usually on the stands. I feel like it's less likely that any people in the garage are going to knock my bike over when it's up on the stands. Then again, the GSXR doesn't even have a kick stand so I suppose it would have to be on a rear stand at least.
more detail, pics would be great. What kind of rear stand and front stand? spool, swing arm, fork lift, or steering stem triple tree life type. Even if you just stole some pics from pit bulls web site to show the type that would be awesome.
If you are trying to use it as a street bike you should probably look elsewhere. If it was a track only bike you really don't need a title aside from it giving you the peace of mind that it wasn't stolen.
I demoed a 990 Superduke at vintage last summer. Probably one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. I'll be up there for the PTR stuff. If there are RC8s to demo I might have to take a ride.
I won't speculate about economy but I do agree. Fewer riders means fewer fatalities and more riders means more fatalities. It's very simple statistics. Unless there is some other factor related to more motorcycle riders that somehow makes them safer.
