  1. pr stunt and a damn good one at that. go big or go home.
  2. good luck to you guys tomorrow. hopefully the weather holds out, especially for you new guys.
  3. funny how you think of all the questionable illegal/legal things on your bike when a cop is behind you.
  4. are you on oakland? i saw two cars broken into on that street on my walk to the bus stop within 100ft of each other.
  5. RTV silicone can be had from your local auto supplier - autozone, advanced, o'reillys doesn't really matter what you get, i've been told red is "most liked" because it's easier for the old men in tech to see it. this is what i get, order it online or find it at your auto store: http://www.amazon.com/Permatex-F81160-Hi-Temp-Silicone-3-Ounce/dp/B0002UEN1A
  6. i can loan you my used knee pucks until your trackday
  7. ride your bike. dont ride the bike in front of you. do your thing.
  8. sounds like you are answering your own question. if you aren't getting your knee down - go faster. in a safe environment though. you'll have plenty of time to practice riding on track, completely different animal than the street.
  9. you're trying to hard. knee dragging happens naturally it's not forced. forcing the knee down only leads to poor body positioning.
  10. think i'm passing on the trackday. i have a busted fork seal that needs attention before i go back out on track.
  11. call up ridersdiscount and ask for TJ. worth a shot.
  12. update to those not following wera: 4 riders down total -- guy who bombed the corner and endo'd is out for the season with a broken neck or c3 vertebra, non paralyzing thankfully -- guy who got hit by endo'ing guy has broken thumb and sore knee from the front end of the bike that hit him that ended up denting his tank -- one was uninjured -- guy that got side swiped by broken thumb - transported to the ER and his current condition is unknown.
  13. i finished the weekend which was goal numero one. sunday morning practice went really well had some fun with steve and his unfortunately slow lap times. first race, c superstock was really fun had a nice battle with another r6 for over half the race - finished ninth. second race c superbike/heavyweight finished 11th. overall i accomplished all my goals that i set for the weekend so i am really pleased with myself. also, i learned i'm a really good starter... now i just need to work on the rest of the skills to maintain positions gained.
  14. you're right, two increasingly larger stoppies before the third one hit the guy in the back. Probably right, but the ladies didn't sign their slip for the weekend. Gave the guy my video file, so hopefully Sean gives an exception for these guys.
  15. update from the guy who got the wheel in the back: still no word on the two rider's conditions
  16. you're doing it wrong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlFGuES-07U unfortunate, because if i'm not mistaken the two PN's he took out will have to go an additional weekend because of his bonehead mistake.
  17. i'm aware of that, the swingarm pivot on back are all freshly cleaned and lubed as well as lever linkages as of a few weeks ago. it'll be garaged this summer.
  18. Just installed a new chain plus it's stored outside this year on a grass/mud lot :-( I cleaned it last week.
  19. more -- third gen R6: oil cooler oil filter oil drain plug side panels - i dont know if it was needed since i have the tank covers that go over the panels, but better to be safe...
  20. yup already ran into that problem. kruzel sent me a ton so when it does happen then i'll move/replace it.
