http://www.weather.com/news/science/environment/agreement-manmade-global-warming-20130516 the religious zealots don't have scientific evidence, or peer reviewed research... apples and ancient tales of oranges...

Completely different information sources my friend... God: supported by 1 text who's infallibility is contained within it's own text. it's infallible because it says it's infallible. Also written by bronze age goat herders. Climate change: Idea that human factors contribute to it is supported by 97% of the scientific community studying the phenomenon, thousands of peer reviewed publications, and mountains of data collected... Scientists studying climate change are as sure about it as they are about gravitation, evolution, and electromagnetism... I tend to trust the pronouncements of the scientific community. If there are holes in the data or the experimentation, the peer review process finds those holes, and exposes them.
-
Then what is their agenda? That's the only agenda I can see stated on their website...
-
There is a lot more money in denying climate change than in accepting it.
-
To protect the environment? Don't you think they would get a lot more money from big oil companies if the research showed that burning fossil fuels actually helped the environment?
-
So their agenda is what?
-
So 97% of the scientific community studying this issue is getting rich off of their results?
-
Someone is gonna enjoy that.
-
Hey, just because 97% of the scientific community says that the science shows climate change is being influenced by humans doesn't mean that 25% of the general population had to believe them, they've got their own data... Right?
-
I'm not crying, just pointing out who has money on stifling progress.

Wind generators are great, solar is great, tidal generators are great. They generate electricity without burning fossil fuels, or generating radioactive waste, why wouldn't we want to develop this technology? Well if you are making billions off of oil and gas... That's probably a pretty strong motivation.
-
and I happen to agree with them... Ride like you're invisible... avoid colliding with cars. No sense being dead just for the sake of being right. Last stats I saw showed that 2/3 of motorcycle accidents were the MC operator's fault...

I don't hate birds, but the birds have to learn to avoid high speed moving objects.
-
Lol at windmills... what exactly are they milling? If the birds are too stupid to not get hit by a rotating mass, maybe they don't deserve to pass on their dna... and the ones who are smart enough not to fly through them will be the ones to breed.

What? Who ridiculed the Pope for the decisions of old popes?

Cause of all the slow ass drivers in my fucking way...

Both stories were covered...

What about our resident mexitalian Guido turtle fucktard? He's a conservative... Kiss all those stereotypes goodbye.
-
hell yeah dude, can't wait for hell... already ordered a set of asbestos water skis, and a sweet asbestos winnebago for camping by, and skiing on the lake of fire... still saving up for the asbestos cigarette boat, and a case of spf 9 billion sunscreen

My opposition to the keystone pipeline has nothing to do with climate change, and everything to do with major oil spills involving current, much smaller pipelines coupled with oil companies' inability to effectively clean up tar sands oil.
-
Our government funds a great deal of that research, regardless of the results.
-
Show me which side has more scientists and more peer reviewed evidence... That's the side I'm gonna trust for the time being.
-
Have you taken any initiative to better understand it? Have you dedicated your career to studying and understanding the impact? Many scientists have... and their general consensus is heading in the direction of our carbon emissions having a very real and very considerable impact... Am i sure? no.. but i do tend to trust the pronouncements of scientists in their particular field of expertise.

Not my words, Jesus' words... feel free to find a contradiction, the bible is full of them.

The planet "as we know it" is in danger...OUR ecosystem is in danger... Yes the planet itself will continue to spin, but it won't be the planet earth we all know and love anymore. it's like a giant oil spill in the family farm, the land is still there, it's just not useful as a farm for the foreseeable future. Call it shitting where you eat if you like, but it's the only place we CAN eat...it's saying the same thing.
