  1. You are truly a wise woman and that is why the VROD is a power CRUISER, not a sport bike or a sport tourer. I don't know, VRODDave throws his around pretty well in the twisties.
  2. my first street bike was an '82 Honda CM400. Got it as a gift when my buddy went off to basic, gave it back to him a year later w/another 25k miles when I went off to basic. Fast forward two years to Hawaii, and I stepped up to a 1000cc Honda Hurricane (yeah, I just aged myself with that one). I laid that bike down twice, in full gear, (roads in Hawaii aren't exactly street bike at speed friendly) before selling it and moving back to the mainland. Didn't ride for about 12yrs or so, then I got the VROD. After such a long hiatus from riding, I decided to enroll and do the MSF course again.
  3. it's just a fucking building! They change names of stadiums all the time, so what's the difference?
  4. don't get me started on the Harley clans that only ride 200mi/year or less..... Hell, I have a friend that bought his Deuce in '05 (2yrs before I got my VROD) and this year he just racked up 1500 miles!!! 1500 miles in 4 fucking years??!!! are you kidding me.... He does make it to all the HD rallies and parties though. Him and the wife take the Lincoln truck, bike keeps the garage safe.

    New Bike!

WASH THAT BITCH!!! :Dnice ride and enjoy the added power.
  6. I agree about the mailbox tunes, that's why I went w/the Thunder Max. It's an auto tune fueler. You just install the base map and ride. The more you ride the sooner it finds that sweet spot. If you decide to change pipes, you just do it. No dynos, no down time. I love it. Price is a tad salt, around $700 mark, but you never NEED a dyno.
  7. schamerlin's blew up the supercharger during the ride back from MWT..

Still loving Cali. It was 105° but humidity was 5%.. house a/c stays set at 76 and it's very comfortable. Beach is hour away, so wife and kids are loving that. Nothing like jumping on the bike and never needing to worry about rain.

    How's things w/you?

  8. I would NEVER own or ride an automatic motorcycle...ever!
  9. it's only a 3.3gal tank, but mileage is near 60mpg hwy, and 40 city!!! don't need a larger tank when you're getting that type of mileage. Hell, the only way I'll see more than 40mpg hwy is if I coast down the side of a mountain in neutral!
  10. the man code restricts men (over 18) from publicly ranking known minors.... that being said...
  11. it's real... dude is on the Vrod forum (1130cc.com) comes from a sport bike background) It's a Simpson
  12. IMHO a 250 is just a waste of your time and money, especially if you took and passed the MSF course. Did you get a 1cyl car after you passed your driver's test? Purchase a bike that you like and is comfortable. Someone coming from a pilot background will get bored of a 250 in about 2 hours.. Once you find the bike that you like, Practice, PRactice, PRACTICE!!!!
  13. were you expecting the red carpet to be rolled out because you own a Harley? This isn't an HD club, it's quite simply a group of people that share a common interest... There aren't any secret handshakes or special knocks. Did you introduce yourself to anyone, or was everyone supposed to just know that you were from the forum? When I showed up for my first forum group ride, folks had no problem saying 'waz'up'. Of course, I made it a point to introduce myself and let folks know I was on the forum. Never an issue with anyone from this forum, EVER. At a group event at a public place during the riding season, you can't expect everyone to to "just know" who the fuck you are. Brian's the one that brought this up, if he wanted us to know the whole story he would have and should have posted it up. It's painfully obvious that he just wanted to shit on sport bike riders and live down to that Harley stereotypical persona.

    Uh-oh...

I see little difference between a scooter and a 250cc. If you're on 2 wheels and motorized, I'm waving.
  17. I ride my VROD w/Icon boots & gloves, Fieldsheer jacket, Nolan helmet. The only thing I own w/an HD logo is the bike
  18. I have it, but it's in a box some phuq-ing where at the house..
  19. are you fucking kidding me?!!! Yes, there are folks here that have an inexplicable dislike of all things HD, but there are far more that respect all those that ride on 2 wheels. I've ridden my HD with many of the folks on this forum, hell I've gotten shit faced with many on this forum... At least take the time to get to know these fucktards before you call them idiots.
