My girl lives in Dublin, and I think that it's a decent spot. It's clean, there are things to do, the people are relatively friendly (at least most of the ones that I've encountered). It kinda has its own flavor, not nearly as vanilla as I expected. *Edit: My use of the term "vanilla" was to describe an area devoid of activities, fun, and most importantly ORIGINALITY and culture.

RIP I studied that phenomenon in one of my psych classes (yet I don't remember what it was called). It's pretty common in the elderly, that's why it is recommended to make sure that the widow(er) has plenty of hobbies, or comes to live with and help take care of the family when a spouse dies...
